Old friends

Alex was falling down and spinning out of control.

"Well I guess this is it," he thought

He could see the people on the ground but a purple crack opened up and he fell through.

Claire had jumped out the window and something or someone which was hurtling down at unimaginable speeds almost hit her and she saw a crack open up in the ground but it was too late, she couldn't grasp the ledge as the wall was a flat surface so she fell through the crack with a surprised yelp.

Connor was thinking about Mei when a shadow flitted across his eyes. He stood up questioning if what he had seen was actually real.

He rubbed his eyes and decided that he was on edge. Unbeknownst to him, there was someone watching him. He kept on going through the videotapes and eventually came up with one name, friends.

He opened it and voila! a crack appeared out of nowhere and he jumped through and the person who was watching just sat there dumbfounded, they had climbed on top of one of the shelves and jumped onto a balcony overlooking the ground floor. They were confused as to where they were, they were swimming in the emptiness of space and they went through a weird hole and just popped out in this weird library.

Connor was flying through the crack at the speed of light, or so he'd like to think. He popped out into a room that was very familiar to him but he just couldn't remember where he knows it from.

He looked around and saw that this room had beanbags and a colourful rug and a white wall painted with small dinosaurs, fish, and other kinds of animals and the ceiling was grey and had on long fluorescent tube stretching from one end of the room to the other.

He looked down and saw a younger version himself walk in wearing a black hoodie with the design of a red monster on it with ripped denim jeans and his hands in his hoodie pocket and the hoodie was down. A younger Alex, Claire, and Mei stroll in the room looking bored along with the briefing man.

"Alex, Claire, Mei, meet Connor, he is another person who will be joining you and Connor, this is Mei, Alex, and Claire, they may be a bit dismissive and stuck-up but they are good kids.

They all started to get along with each other swimmingly, talking, laughing, and even playing and they were very comfortable together and the older Connor saw the man slowly walk back to the door and turn around, talking into a phone.

The person who was watching was deep in thought when suddenly, the crack appeared again and Connor shot out of it once again, but instead of landing the way he usually did, he flew into the wall next to the bookshelf and in turn, they had tripped over and fell down off the balcony face first and hit the ground. Connor sat up while holding his head while groaning and they stood up and faced Connor who looked up at her in shock and then in an amalgamation of hatred and anger. If looks could kill, she would already have been isekaid into a cultivation manhua/ln five times over. He ran at her and punched her but nothing happened, his fist went right through her head, he tried more attacks but nothing worked. He looked at her in disgust "What are you doing here?" He asked

"I don't know myself," Mei answered.

"Do you know a way out?" He asked.

"No, I don't," Mei replied

The conversations went on just like this for a while until he asked her why she attacked him, she told him that she had no memory of doing anything, just that she had blacked out after entering the room and looking at the man with the long white hair. Connor thought about it for a hot minute, why would she lie when there was nothing to gain from it, and also, he had experienced a very similar thing himself. so he had finally accepted the fact that she wasn't the one in control but, unbeknownst to the both of them, there was someone else in the shadows, lurking menacingly.

Instead of hitting the ground, Alex fell through it and he came out on the other side and hit the grass. It was dry but he felt stinging nettles sticking on his clothes.

"I wasn't born into this word so I could be annoyed by trivial things like this,"

He began picking them off, one by one until a girl dropped out of nowhere and stood up and looked at him and gasped.

"Alex, is that you?" she asked, He thought about what he would answer with and concluded that girls that he didn't know that knew his name was dangerous so he answered

"No." He looked at her closer and was horrified, she was wearing a hospital gown out in the open, the nerve of this girl, he thought. He handed over his leather jacket and told her to stay there, but out of nowhere, a person with messy black hair wearing a black mask, a cape, and a black tux stood on a tree branch.

He then jumped down and spread out his right arm and out of nowhere, a compartment appeared, and he pulled clothes out and threw them towards the girl and she walked behind a tree and changed.

"Hello young man, you may be wondering why it is that you are here, well, it is simple, you must save us from the demon lord who is terrorising the lands." The man in the mask said.

Alex simply laughed and he then asked "Are you serious?"

"No, I just wanted to make a joke but you wouldn't know if it danced in your face." he sighed

Claire walked out from behind the trees and the masked man commented,

"Well, it's time to go!" He said in a playful tone and they started walking through the forest.
