My Mecha System in a Fantasy World

Carter was just like any other regular employee, earning his wages by working 9-5 everyday at a software company. He was walking home after the day's work wondering what to cook for dinner.

Suddenly, "Watch out man!!", was unfortunately the last words he heard before he died by an incoming truck. Everything was dark around him, he wondered if he would get a chance to get isekai-ed as his death was caused by a truck, 'What am I even thinking about?' , he thought, followed by the loss of consciousness.

He was awoken by a dim light in his vision, he wasn't able to make it out clearly but it seemed to be the silhouette of a lady, she was holding him.

'Where am I??Where is this place?' he was full of questions.

"@##%*^&$@$^$#, hahaha" he heard a man talking and laughing afterwards.

Only now does he realize that he had reincarnated as a baby after taking a clear look at his surroundings.

'Holy shit, truck-kun, you really have the power to send anyone to get isekai-ed!!',he then calmly started assessing the situation around him.

'I seemed to have reincarnated into a pretty decent family I guess ,from the rich ambience of the room and luxurious clothes of the man I think is my father', he thought.

8 Years Later

I was taking a stroll outside the mansion in the morning as usual passing by the fields," Good morning young lord!" greeted the people working on the fields with a cheerful smile on their faces.

"Good morning Uncle Ben, Good morning Uncle Tim" , I wave at them as I pass through.

My name is Carter Grayson, the heir of the Grayson family with the title of Earl in the Kingdom of Sylvester. My father Albert Grayson, was bestowed upon the title of Earl by the late king for his merits in the previous war.

This world has magic as it's foundation, and a person can choose to cultivate in two directions: Mage and Aura Warrior.

Both these have 9 tiers that can be achieved with each having 4 sub-stages: Early, Intermediate, Advanced and Peak. Beyond that, it's Arch Mage/Master Warrior , Grand Mage/Grand Warrior and Saint Mage/ Saint Warrior. I don't know beyond that from the information I have gathered till now.

My mother, Carol Grayson is a Tier-4 Advanced Mage, while my father is a Tier-5 intermediate Warrior. And I have a older sister Ava Grayson,11 years old ,who is a genius fire mage at Tier-1 Peak.

Today is the awakening ceremony, when a child reaches 8 years, he/she is to take the yearly awakening ceremony which takes place all over the Kingdom.

I walk back to the mansion where I see my mother waiting for me at the door, "Carter, are you nervous about the ceremony? Don't worry, whatever your result is ,papa and mama will always love you. So don't stress about it." she advised me kindly.

"Don't worry mother, I am not nervous." I assured her.

"Hey young lord, are you ready? Let's go" shouted John from afar. He is the son of the head of security in the mansion. We are of the same age, so we get along well and play together.

"Yeah, I am coming!" I leave with John towards the temple.

The temple was already crowded when we reached there, buzzing around with children who were eagerly anticipating their talents.

Just then a dignified voice sounded, "Silence!", it was the head priest. He motioned us all to form a line and wait for the test. A white crystal was brought in and kept on a big table with a priest overseeing it.

One by one people went on to test their affinities." Low Grade Fire affinity, Low Grade Earth affinity, Poor Grade wind affinity, Middle Grade water affinity, nice!" the priest was assessing everyone, he was pleasantly surprised to see a middle grade affinity.

Affinities are in the order: Poor, Low, Middle, Top, Peak and Supreme. Finding a middle level is a little tough, top is very rare, only few percent of the people in the Kingdom have Peak level affinity and almost no one has seen a Supreme level affinity.

Just then, "Top Grade Light affinity!!" the priest exclaimed. His shout garnered the attention of everyone present. That guy was none other than the second son of the Duke Dominguez, Jason Dominguez. His elder brother Antony was a well-known war general with Top Grade Fire affinity, all the neighboring Kingdoms fear his name and destructive fire magic.

It was soon John's turn, "Middle Grade Dark Affinity!", but the people didn't seem to have noticed this as they were busy discussing Jason and his Top Grade affinity.

I congratulate him, and step out to test my affinity. I put my hand atop the crystal.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for awakening the Mecha System.]

I hear a voice in my head, confused I turn around to see who it was, simultaneously the crystal showed my result, "Poor Grade Fire affinity." announced the priest.

I was pretty disappointed to see my result, sulking, I walk back to the estate with John.

My mother comforted me after inquiring about the results, and I was called to my father's study to meet him. He too comforted me about my pretty dismal talent in magic, and asked me to learn and take charge of the estate's management. Must be his way of making me feel wanted I guess. But it's pretty comforting to have parents like these who support me no matter what.

Dejected, I walk back to my room. Then I remembered the voice I heard in my head when I placed my hand on the crystal. 'If I remember correctly all those novels had these 'Golden Finger' when the protagonist reincarnates right? Then it means I can reach the top of this world with this right?

" HAHAHAHAHA", I laugh out loud without caring about anything.

" Young lord, are you fine?" asked the maid knocking my door.

"Yeah I am fine." I reply, a little embarrassed.

' The young lord must have been very upset about his aptitude that he started laughing maniacally'. thought the maid.

'System, are you there?' he asked in his mind.

[Ding! Welcome to the Mecha System, the System's job is to help you reach the peak of this world and conquer it.]

[As a training for the host, System will occasionally release missions with appropriate rewards and punishments.]

[Ding! Main mission triggered!

Objective: Find an energy source of nuclear value within the time limit.

Rewards: Full activation of System and unlocking of all features.

Failure: Host will die and I will find a new host.

Time limit: 6:23:59:59]

"Holy shit, where can I find a energy source of something similar to a nuclear bomb??!! System, please tell me that you are messing with me".
