Chapter twenty-three: He lost

Ben, they are so strong, Dave shouted when he noticed they had only been able to kill five out of twenty monsters.

I don't think I can hold them back any longer besides, I am going to run out of energy soon, Ben yelled as he started to run towards the hideout.

Roar, one of the monsters roared as it began to summon all other monsters within the area. After a while, the three of them were surrounded by monsters.

What do we do now? Michel asked as he broke out in cold sweat. If he had known that he was not going to come back alive the moment he stepped out of the hideout with Ben, he would have stayed still and accept the punishment that was going to be given to him when he returned to the city.

That bastard, I should have known this bet was nothing but a trick to get rid of me, Ben grumbled. Although he had already lost the bet by not killing all the monsters, he was still not willing to admit that he had already lost.

I guess this is the end of our journey, Dave told the both of them. The monsters were already approaching them, they were no way they could escape except through death.

Earth Shield, a voice suddenly shouted. Soon the three of them were protected by the shield. If the person who cast that spell had come a minute late they would most likely find nothing but their bone.
