MY LOVE, MY BABY

"Darling, stop tickling me... oh come on! Don't do that... It's ticklish... No! Stop! If you don't stop licking me then I would not give you your favorite food! Stop now! Good boy!' Elina patted her baby and hugged him.

Leon, the Shih Tzu dog, wagged its tail and rubbed his nose on Elina's leg. She lifted the dog up and walked down the stairs happily singing her favorite song.

When she reached the kitchen, she noticed something unusual. The dining table was completely filled with her favorite food! She stood in front of it and even forgetting about Leon, she started munching on a chicken leg...

After being abruptly pushed down and ignored by its owner, Leon felt upset but he still looked at her munching on food with his drooling mouth. He moved his eyes from her mouth and then at her hand wherever the food was present, and his dripped down saliva almost formed a pool on the ground.

She just kept on eating while ignoring Leon's plea. He kept on wagging his tail and watched her eat for a few minutes before running outside to play with his girlfriend.

"Aren't you supposed to get freaked out when you see something out of the ordinary and call the cops??"

Elina heard a whisper in her ears which made her jump up in fear, while the chicken leg flew and hit the person's face who just spoke.

She blinked her round eyes and when she realized who it was she jumped on him and started licking him all around his face.

"Stop behaving like Leon and get down from me right now or else I would just throw you down." He ordered but did not show any intention to throw her down.

"No! I am not getting down! Because of you, I lost my chicken leg and now you are my chicken leg! Until I am satisfied, I, Elina will never ever get down", Elina kept on licking and biting him.

"Elina! Elina! Elina! For goodness sake stop biting and licking your blanket...Eww! Yucks! Dirty! Stop it now before I kick your ass" Jennifer shouted at Elina and even lifted her leg to kick her.

This almost woke Elina up from her sweet dreams, still trying to go back to sleep she tried to move around her bed. So before Jennifer's leg could reach Elina's back, she rolled down from her bed and fell with a 'Thud!' on the floor.

Jennifer just looked at her roommate in disdain and thought about how she could even survive in this harsh world, once she passed out of the university.

"Hey, guys… Hot news! Hot news! Our new chairman is here!!" Their other roommate, Cassie came with delight written all over her face…

Elina, Jennifer, and Cassie shared a room while doing their bachelor's degree in one of the famous universities in the city. Elina and Jennifer were childhood friends, while Cassie joined them a little late but still, all three were really close friends.

Mostly Elina and Cassie created trouble while Jennifer soothes things out and helps them out of the trouble.

"Why are you getting so excited about an old man? You are becoming worse than Elina" Jennifer scoffed.

"What are you saying? who are you calling an Old man? No way! He looks as handsome as a romantic movie hero or maybe even more. Just looking at his face, I can live my days without any regret until I grow old." Cassie said with dream-filled eyes.

Elina suddenly got up after rolling on the floor for half a day with her blanket, when she heard the word 'handsome guy'. Looking at her drooling mouth and sparkling eyes, Jennifer understood that her days are going to be even more troublesome.

So all Jennifer could do is vent out her anger on Cassie, who is the easiest target between the two and also the one who would at least think before doing things.

"First, let us see if you can even live to your twenty-five years of age, then we can think about living until growing old. You said you can live to grow old just by looking at his face? Do you think you will even be able to afford your living by just looking at his face? Let's try to answer a few questions first! Did you even clear all your semester backlogs? No!

Do you have any way to take care of yourself, once you graduate? No!

Do you at least have a job, so that you can support yourself? No!

Let us think clearly on all these things and try to make at least one or two a yes, then we will think about whether he will be willing to at least look at your face?"

Cassie pouted her lips and cursed Jennifer in her heart. She just opened and closed her mouth to say something but not even a single word came out.

She knew that she would be the one who would suffer a big blow if she tries to argue with Jennifer, as she is always good at her debates which left her opponents speechless and almost pee their pants.

"I am taking the assistant job which our professor offered last week" Out of nowhere, Elina declared! which was totally unrelated to the topic they were discussing now.

But listening to Elina, Jennifer smiled and even felt like her own daughter had finally grown up. She turned towards Elina and hugged her.

"Oh! My baby! Sweety pie! You have finally grown up and I am so delighted seeing my baby girl is more responsible now" said Jennifer who was more excited than Elina.

Elina's mind was fully occupied with the word 'Handsome', so she did not hear what Jennifer was saying! Nothing went inside Elina's ears as all her brain could process was how she can get closer to that new handsome hunk who came to their college?

Her brain started hatching master plans and she turned to Cassie and winked at her. Cassie understood her meaning and even gave a thumbs up silently while Jennifer was looking away.

Ignorant of what was happening behind her, Jennifer expressed her joy and tried talking to Elina, so that she can meet the professor and inform him about becoming the assistant before today's class.

Elina just nodded her head and ran towards the bathroom to freshen up. Looking at the sudden change, Jennifer felt something was amiss but did not think too much into it. She went near her desk and started gathering books for her morning class.

Elina came out only after Jennifer knocked on the washroom door for the fourth time. Jennifer felt that she became happy earlier than necessary. She should have not overreacted and expressed her joy before Elina even became an assistant.

Elina was dressed in her new set of clothes with light makeup which made her look like an angel descending from the heavens.

Jennifer and Cassie even had to close their eyes because of the sparkles shining brightly around Elina. Jennifer shook her head in disappointment, while Cassie thought, will she have a go with guys if she and Elina both went together.

As they were anyways going to the same class for their first lecture, Cassie decided to dump her later during a break rather than now.

Elina kept looking around the area for the handsome hunk who came to their college but how much ever she tried, she just couldn't find him anywhere near. She kept scanning with her big blue eyes until she almost reached the seminar hall.

In between, Jennifer reminded her several times to meet the professor and at least check with him to find out if the position is still open. But whatever Jennifer said, did not reach Elina's ears as she was more excited in searching for the unknown handsome guy.

After trying to convince her for more than 10 minutes, Jennifer realized that she guessed everything wrong. Jennifer looked at Elina's hawk eyes which kept on searching their surroundings and she was finally enlightened with Elina's attitude change. Her darling baby did not grow up but instead became a hormone-filled ghost.

Jennifer rolled her eyes and her heart ached while thinking how she thought her baby had grown up and even ready to fly away from its nest. Suddenly an idea popped up in Jennifer's mind.

"I heard that the professor is close to the new chairman. Maybe who knows he might be sitting in our professor's office and having a cup of coffee!?", Jennifer said that sentence very slowly to show as if she had just realized something important while looking at Elina.

As expected, Elina dumped all the things she was carrying onto Cassie's hand who was walking behind Jennifer slowly, as she was trying to avoid being mingled with the sparking angel, Elina.

Elina ran towards the professor's office without looking back at them. Cassie did not expect this twist and almost lost her balance handling the heavy luggage placed on her hands.

Jennifer helped Cassie by removing a few books from her hand and even held her back to support her from falling which made Cassie's heart skip a beat. Cassie looked at Jennifer with a loving gaze and she did not even realize that she was putting all her weight on Jennifer's hand.

Jennifer struggled to maintain balance as both her hands were now holding something heavy. Her body automatically reacted and let go of whichever was heaviest to avoid getting a fracture. Cassie who was unlucky fell down with a 'thud' on her back.

"Ouch!", Cassie struggled to get up after she fell down while rubbing her back.

Jennifer helped Cassie up first and then she started to pick up the books which had fallen down. When Jennifer extended her hand to lift Cassie up, Cassie looked up at her hands and then at her face while thinking if only she was a guy, she would have jumped on her the moment she set her eyes and never let her go.

But later she erased her thoughts as she thought about her biggest love rival, Elina, and shook her head. She immediately decided against it, as she could never stand a chance between these two love birds, even if Jennifer turned into a man.

After realizing what she was thinking, she understood that she is now missing a male companion very badly as she now wants a girl to change into a man. She then decided to somehow catch any guy and make him her boyfriend.

All of sudden something struck her, how could Jennifer know about the relationship between the professor and the chairman. When they talked about it before she behaved like she did not know him at all.

"Jenny, how did you find out that the professor is close to our chairman?" Suddenly Cassie asked Jennifer.

"Who knows?" Jennifer answered with a smirk.

Cassie now understood the reason behind Jennifer's word and started laughing holding her stomach.

"Haha haha….Jenny, no one can see that you are lying when you speak with such a straight forward face. I want to see Elina's face now and how she would react when she knows that you lied to her so that she would meet the professor," Cassie held the wall nearby and laughed even more loudly, thinking about how Elina would make a fool of herself.

Jennifer looked at her with contempt and glared at her as she was making fun of Elina.

"How will she come to know about it, unless someone tells Elina that I lied to her on purpose. Moreover, the chairman might be busy with other work and so he could not find time to spend with the professor for a cup of coffee," Jennifer said coolly as if she doesn't care even if Elina knows that she lied to her.

They both entered the seminar hall and sat on a corner seat while waiting for Elina to come. Meanwhile, they did not notice a shadow behind them, leaning against the wall listening to their conversation with a smile that did not reach his eyes.

His eyes never left Jennifer from the time they came out from the dormitory. He finally found her after so many years of search and now no one can stop him from ruling the underworld, not even Jennifer's father.
