Chapter 1Fighting Beasts

The next morning, the camp was abuzz with activity. Soldiers prepared their gear, checked their weapons, and fortified their positions. The atmosphere was one of anticipation and readiness. Mark and his companions were about to leave to find the other camps when a sudden alarm rang through the camp, jarring everyone from their tasks.

General Larkinson's voice boomed over the base. "Attention! We have reports of giant beasts approaching the camp from the north. All units, prepare for battle!"

Mark, Elara, and Anitrix exchanged glances. The tension in the air was palpable.

"Should we help?" Mark asked sensing the tense atmosphere.

Elara didn't hesitate. "We need to. These soldiers are our allies now. They didn't hesitate to give us shelter. General Larkinson helped us, now It's our turn to return the favor."

"Come on guys, do we really need to? We have just arrived yesterday," Anitrix grumbled, not looking favourably at the idea.
