Where am I?

Y/N's POV

I woke up to the sound of birds. Well, I didn't really wake up; my eyes were still closed. But it was cold. A little too cold. My blanket wasn't anywhere near me. Instead, I felt a cold, wet substance crumble in my hand. Was that.....snow?! My eyes shot open.

I was surrounded by trees! I was sitting on snow! It wasn't even winter yet. What was happening? Maybe it was a dream. Yeah, that made sense. A dream.

I slowly raised my right hand, in attempt to pinch myself, just to make sure. Ow! Okay...not a dream...

I sat there for a few minutes, not moving. I took in my surroundings. I was sitting right next to a beautiful lamp post. The light glowing from within the lantern was enough to make me feel warm.

I slowly stood up, feeling more confident than before. Wherever I was, I had to leave. I wasn't wearing anything warm and I could freeze to death! I started walking into the forest, cautiously looking around.

I walked on for a long time, but found nothing. Not that I knew what I was looking for. Perhaps I was hoping I would find some means of direction. Perhaps I thought someone would guide me away from this sudden winter. Perhaps-

I was knocked out of my thoughts by a shrill scream.
