A Day in the Life At BLUE LOCK

"There are Eleven of you in this room. You eleven, would be leaving together. At times, you would work together. Other times, you would betray each other. You will be rivals who will wreck each other's dreams."

Blue Lock...

Team X

Day 3

Training Room.

10 am

As soon as I entered the training room, a system window popped up, displaying the message "Welcome to Blue Lock. Where your teammates are your rivals."

As the screen began to fade from view, Team X huddled together, planning its course of action for the day. We were all beginning to feel the pressure of the competition on the third day of training.

A new window titled "System Quests (Unlocked)" appeared. I figured the system's quest had been set off by entering the training center. Even though it didn't occur on day one, it did on day three.

I quickly clicked on it to see what it entailed.

[SYSTEM QUESTS]

Temporary challenge.

[Daily]

Endurance Test: Average 25 kph on the treadmill. Complete within an hour to receive a reward (100 system points).

Jumping Test: reach a height of 70 cm on the jump test. Complete within three attempts to receive a reward (150 system points on each successful attempt).

Shooting Test: successfully shoot 20 out of 25 targets. Complete within 25 shots to receive a reward (125 system points).

I knew I had to take on this challenge. It was a great opportunity to push myself and finally earn a system point. I stepped onto the treadmill and began running, determined to achieve the average speed. With a stamina rating of 70 and a top speed rating of 77, I managed to endure for a while.

But as the minutes passed, my legs began to hurt, and my breathing became unsteady. My breathing became heavier, and my heart was beating faster as I ran.

But I made an effort to push past my limits and continue. I persisted in pushing myself until I succeeded in completing the task in the allotted time. On the treadmill, I managed to move at an average speed of 30 kph. Although I was worn out, I was proud of myself for persevering.

'Ding Dong'

"Congratulations on finishing your first system challenge."

"You have received 100 system points as a reward."

The window then disappeared, and I was left feeling accomplished and motivated to continue pushing myself in future challenges.

I knew I had to earn as many points as possible to level up. So I went on to the next challenge with even more determination and focus.

But I felt short on the first try, reaching only 62 cm. It was my first try, and I was worn out from the treadmill. I exhaled deeply, gave myself some space, and gave it another shot. I worked harder this time and concentrated on my technique, but I could only reach 63 cm.

I recalled that I had a jump rating of 69, so that must be why I can't seem to improve much beyond that point.

If I wanted to get better at jumping, I knew I had to keep working at it.

With one last leap...

With a jump of only 65 cm, I failed to complete the final attempt, but I was determined to try again the following day.

I moved on to the last challenge feeling disappointed but motivated to do better.

I went to Team X's training field to work on my targets, but Barou was already there. He continued his workout while ignoring me. I wanted to approach him and inquire about his reasoning for not eliminating me when he had the advantage.

But I decided it was best to leave him alone and focus on my own practice, determined to talk to him again some other time.

I let go of any distractions or unfavorable thoughts as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I inhaled deeply and attempted the final challenge.

Using a shooting accuracy rating of 76, I was successful in putting 21 of my 25 attempts inside the goal box. I became very exhausted after completing the challenge, and just then a sound vibrated.

'Ding Dong'

"Congratulations on finishing a system challenge."

"You have been rewarded with 125 system points."

"Permanent Challenge has been unlocked"

A new window then appeared.

It displayed information about the Permanent Challenges and it's rewards.

[System Quests]

Permanent Challenge

A. 1000 system points if you finish first or second in the five-team round-robin.

B. 775 system points if you manage to come out on top as your team's top scorer)

*A random skill or weapon card would also be given to you as a reward if criteria A or B are met.

*Please complete the first Permanent Challenge to unlock the next challenges and earn even more system points.

*Failure to do so would result in losing your credibility with the FUT SYSTEM.

What? I could easily lose the system, I thought. "A random skill is worth it, though." I whispered.

"Ding"

The sound of a blistering noise announced the start of the lunch break as it echoed throughout the training field and the hallway.

"At Blue Lock, Daily activities are all arranged to a precise schedule." It echoed through the speaker.

"Ah, It's time to eat I guess," I said as I headed towards the cafeteria with my teammates.

12:00 pm

Lunch Break

In Blue Lock, the food you receive is based on your rank. So I was able to cash out some of the best meals because I am ranked second in Team X(244). I made the decision to eat a steak for lunch today because It's very essential that I maintain my strength and energy levels before and after training. Teams V through Z shared a cafeteria, which allowed me to primarily see the players of each team.

Barou came over and sat down right next to me as I began to eat.

"Yo Barou, Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Hmm? Piss off"

I kept going, "You made the choice not to pass the ball to me during the game of tag. Why did you do so?"

Barou looked down at his hands and muttered, "I don't really know, but I felt that I needed you." "As a king on the battlefield, I need a strong pawn, one that I can use to score my own goals." "I want you to be that pawn for me," Barou asked, his eyes intently waiting for what I had to say.

"Sure, but I also intend to use you to surpass all other strikers in Blue Lock. I guess, neither of us should lock off yet." I replied. Barou nodded, a slight grin forming on his lips. "Deal," he uttered.

He never smiled in the entire Blue Lock manga, so when he did, I was taken aback.

Barou was a self-centered and imperious football player who viewed himself as "the King" and only cared about himself. He initially views them as supporting characters, but as the show goes on, he begins to dominate it, attempting to get rid of and replace who the main character is.

I inferred from his tiny smile that he was eager to devour me on the field. The idea of stealing the show made him ecstatic.

I realized at that point that he saw me as merely another auxiliary figure to get rid of and replace. That was perfectly clear from his discreet grin.

I followed the Daily Routine after lunch, which included a short break before resuming practice with team X.
