Chapter 34 Drakons!!!

"What are those? "Cana asked while whispering even though we were pretty far away she felt like taking precautions

Can't disagree with that I suppose she still has not seen them properly from the distance, but her instincts are spot on

"Can you eavesdrop them with your cards" I asked her

"If we can get it there without them knowing I guess" Cana replied

She then took out three cards one for listening in one for us to hear and another for minor illusion

She used the illusion card to turn the listening card into a reddish leaf like those in the forest around us

"Here you go "she smiled and gave it to me

I then began to notch an arrow to send it there but suddenly I heard a soft grunt behind me

I turned around and saw Cana pouting a bit

"Oh, thanks for the help, Cana" I said while having a nervous grin

Cana sighed at me

"Really what would you do without me "she murmured

I grinned and notched the arrow

"Nothing interesting enough I suppose" I said, and I think it worked because I saw her blush a bit

The arrows that I had did not include a sound arrow as nullifying sound is harder than creating it and trust me I can create sounds large enough to shatter the windows of the guild , the only blemish I had in my record and my last after the talking to I had with Granny while being an experimental subject for her potions for a few days

Well anyway, right now the arrow I notched was a pure wind arrow the best I can do on the subject of silence, the arrow was aimed high above the outpost and just when it reached about the center of the structure, I released the arrow which made it disappear and the leaf shaped card slowly fell down

It reached luckily on the wing of one of the Drakons and got stuck there luckily their hide is thick enough that they never felt it

Moving on to how they look, they have snake like body with thick circumference, two bat like wings with the entire body other than the wings looked like they are made of chainmail they also had a greenish glow and the biggest looked darker in colour, it was also using a single claw at its wing to draw the magic circle

Cana and I listened into their conversation the sound was similar to the snakes rasping with deeper vocals

"JUST A FEWWW MORE DAYSSS AND THE CIRCLE WILL COMPLETE" the biggest said

"YESSS, LEADER AFTERR THE PORTAL IS COMPLETED WE CAN OPEN UP THE GATE TO THE VOID AND MILLIONSSSS OF OUR BREATHREN SHALL FEAST UPON EVERY DROP OF ETHERNANO IN THIS WORLD AND THIS TIME THERE WILL NOT BE THOSE DAMN DRAGONS TO OBSTRUCT OUR WAY" smaller one said

"WE MUST MAKE SURE THAT NOBODY INTERFIERS WITH OUR RITUAL FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS BE VIGILANT WE HAVE BEEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR CENTURIES "the bigger one said

At the time at the top of the tree

"Yes-s-s" Cana blurted out while trembling "there is a recording function in the card as well-l-l"

I hugged her close to comfort her can't blame her though after that last order the Drakon let out its aura which reached and surpassed Gildart's level by a bit but the scary part was unlike Gildart's aura this one was filled with extreme malice almost made me vomit out and I had a bigger and purer amount of magic than A class wizards and Cana being B class level magic it's a surprise that she had not gone into shock but is able to talk as well

"don't worry they will have to go through me before they get to you "I said to comfort her

She froze in my arms suddenly then she looked at me straight in my eyes she knew I was speaking the truth

She softly pushed me aside and took a deep breadth

"I may be weak but not that weak, so what's the plan" she asked while looking determined

I smiled and spoke

"Those things are strong as hell the biggest is stronger than Gildarts when it comes to magic energy alone and the others are also of high SS class level, we are way out of our debt here

The best thing we can do is sent this information as fast as possible back home and escape from here in one piece

The communication Lacrima in the outpost is the only one specially designed to send messages over long distances in this ethernano dense place so our only bet is to find a lacrima outside the forest to send the messages"

I began to climb down from the tree but suddenly one of the branches I was holding broke but luckily the weight was in other parts of the body but the smell from the broken branch began to spread around

The biggest Drakon in the outpost suddenly turned his head quickly in our direction

"CHECK WHAT IS THERE" he ordered the underling

One of the Drakons began to fly towards us

I immediately used the snake talisman to make both of us invisible the Dragon came to the place we are and started sniffing, looks like they have the characteristics of a snake when it comes to that

I immediately took out the anti-smelling spray from the bag and sprayed on us

The Drakon sniffed around but after finding nothing for a few minutes it went back

Cana and I let out a deep breath

"Since when did you can turn invisible "Cana asked

"Tell you later "I said and used the rabbit talisman to run as fast as possible outside
