Morphing into Pokèmons?

Being a student, Clyde lived his life to his liking. Going on adventures, travelling around the world, while at the same time studying and acquiring knowledge through books. At the age of 18, he was already a graduate student, however, because of that, he does not have many friends. But suddenly, due to one fateful day, a game called "Pokèmon GO" went viral. Walking in the streets to go home which was his usual routine, a driver was seen playing the game "Pokèmon GO". He was trying to catch a Pokemon named "Pikachu", however, the moment he caught it, Clyde's life would never be the same again. -------------------------------------------------- *I give the credit for the characters, Pokemons, places, establisments, companies and the picture that I used to their creators. *Post chapters at leisure times

Journey to the Mountains

As the sun has risen from the horizon, Clyde's time to go on his adventure is getting nearer and nearer. As he laid his eyes open, the first thing that appeared in his vision was a golden Caterpie, who was hanging upside down through a string. At first, Clyde thought he was just sleepy, then as he tried to close and open his eyes again, what was in his vision didn't changed. Shock then was the autonomous response of his body.

"Kirr-lii-aa~?!?" (What the hell are you doing?!?)

"Cowieee~!" (I was waiting for you to wake up!)

"Kir-li-aaa~?" (Was that really necessary?)

"Cowieee~?" (No? I guess I'm sorry?)

'Who even literally "asks" for forgiveness nowadays?!' Clyde thought.

"Kirr-lii-aa~" (Nevermind, it's fine buddy. Good morning by the way.)

"Cowieee cowiee~!" (Good morning! Let's have breakfast!)

During breakfast, Clyde felt that Caterpie was trying to be cheerful. It was sad, really, since he felt comfortable here in the Butterfrees' Territory. Nevertheless, it was still necessary for him to do so, for both his future and strength. Saying goodbye was never Clyde's thing. That's why, when parting ways, he never says the word "Goodbye".

"Kirr-lii-a~" (I guess it's my time to go.)

"Cowieee cowiee...~" (Yeah... Goodbye my friend..)

"Kirr-liii-aa~!" (It's never farewell my friend! It should be see you again!)

Hugging Caterpie, much to Caterpie's surprise, Clyde then immediately teleported away. After teleporting successively, Clyde stopped right at the periphery of Butterfrees' Territory. He looked back at the place for a few seconds, then resolutely faced forward and teleported away again.

Clyde's training scheme right now is to teleport until he couldn't anymore. An additon to that is he needs to mind his surroundings while doing so. In short, wherever he teleports, he should know where he will go and how he will use that to his advantage in every scenario that could happen. It's tiring, but also necessary for survival in the wild. Since it's not a walk in the park to stay in the forest, alone, for almost 2 months. Luckily, he wasn't attacked by Pokèmon who were lower leveled than him.

"Morph, display the data for the Pollen given by Butterfree."

> Data

° Ruler Butterfree's Pollen

¬ A held item that releases a certain scent to prevent lower leveled Pokèmons getting near to the holder of the item.

"I'm super lucky ain't I?" Clyde cheered himself with the thought.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think you're not that lucky today." Morpheus stated.

"Huh? Why?" Clyde asked as he suddenly felt the vibration in the ground.

"Where are we right now?" Morpheus asked him.

"Uh, a valley between two mountains. Is it relevant.... Oh shit! Rock and Ground Pokèmons!" Clyde realized as he immediately teleported above a tree. Looking back at his earlier position, a hole was suddenly on the ground as a large rock-bodied Pokèmon went up from underground.

The Pokémon was composed of a giant chain of gray boulders that become smaller towards the tail. It has black eyes and a rounded snout. On top of its head is a rocky spine.

"Onix!" Clyde finally realized who was making the earth quake earlier.

Onix was also known as the tallest rock Pokèmon due to its length. As it grows older, the rocky spine on its head becomes more rounded and smoother, eventually becoming similar to black diamonds. Inside its brain is a magnet that serves as an internal compass, guiding Onix wherever they need to go and prevents them from getting lost while digging.

"Morph, Scan Onix." Clyde requested.

"Initiating branch... Data displayed."

"Oh bullocks! I guess my luck has run out. Time to go!" Clyde said as he teleported farther away from the valley.

Observing from afar, he saw that few Geodudes and Gravelers were coming out of the hole that Onix had made underground.

'It seems that there are underground sites near here, where in rock Pokèmon settles.' Clyde hypothesized.

Clyde then teleported towards the mountain on the left through the trees. This way, it won't make the rock Pokèmons, who are sensitive regarding to the land, to notice his existence. Shuffling through a few trees, Clyde finally arrived at the peak of the mountain. It's not that tall of a mountain, which is only around 60ft high above the ground.

Spreading his psychic energy, Clyde observed the fluctuations of origin energy in the mountain peak. After a few minutes of sensing, Clyde ended up with disappointment.

'Sadly, it seems that there are no Dawn Stone present here. Well, I could still try many mountains I guess. I still got around 6 weeks for both missions, so I guess I got some more time to find it.' Clyde thought as he headed right next to the mountain on the right.

Again, same as the first mountain, the mountain does not contain any Dawn Stone. Clyde's sensing of it was inspired by its data, since a Dawn Stone is full of sun and moon essence, it causes fluctuations with the origin energy around it. Subtle it may seem, but it's a good way to find a Dawn Stone. However, it's a lot more harder since you need to comb every area with your origin energy. It takes a lot of power and effort in order to do what Clyde does.

'I guess I'm gonna head east, since I see a few mountains more there than the other directions. I should just take this as teleport and manipulating energy training.' He then headed towards the east.

Days passed by, as Clyde went through mountain ranges that he could spot from north to south and east to west. He combs the peaks in order to see if he could find a Dawn Stone, but as of now, he still has no luck in finding it. While going through mountain to mountain, Clyde never forgot his training and fought over Pokèmons who are around his level or 1 to 3 higher leveled than him.

Throughout his recent adventures, Clyde met and fought plenty of Pokèmons, ranging from Grass, Normal, Flying and Rock-types. He also got 8 levels from the battles he had and was level 29 currently. As of now, Clyde was again checking how long was he searching for the Dawn Stone already.

"Morph, can I see the Quest Branch?" Clyde asked.

"Okay." Morpheus replied shortly.

"Initiating branch... Data displayed."

*Mission Time Limit: 7 Weeks

*Time Left: 3 weeks: 5 days: 0 hours: 6 minutes: 28 seconds.

'Well, based on what Morpheus explained to me, the PokèGoals will get harder and harder the further I progress into the tasks.' Clyde pondered as he thinks about his chances in completing his quests.

'And it has been 2 weeks and 1 day since I accomplished the First PokèGoal, meaning I only have to get atleast an A rating now.' As Clyde was calculating his possible completion ratings, he felt a vibration near the tree he was standing on.

A small hole then was seen as a Pokèmon appeared out of the ground. It is a tiny, brown Pokémon that seems to be perpetually buried within the earth, leaving only its head visible. It has beady black eyes and a large, round, pink nose.

'A Diglett! However I wonder what is it doing here? As I know, Diglett lives in tunnels and caves under the earth, where it feeds on tree roots and vegetables. And if Diglett is exposed to sunlight, its blood will heat up and cause it to grow weak.' He pondered as he asked Morpheus to scan Diglett.

"Initiating branch... Data displayed."

'Ohhh, I see, this Diglett could already dig farther distances. But I wonder why is it here?' Clyde thought over again.

The Diglett then disappeared from Clyde's vision as he again dug underground. A few seconds later, Clyde saw Diglett reappear in his vision a little bit over 4 meters away. This scenario repeatedly happened with Clyde teleporting to follow Diglett. Curiosity overtook Clyde right now as he thought about where could Diglett lead him on.

Two hours later, Clyde then stopped to stare at the valley between two mountains. He had been here earlier, but not at the valley, rather the mountains and its peaks. He looked at where Diglett was heading and saw that he was heading right to the center of the valley. Clyde followed Diglett, unaware what the valley has in store for him.
