Johnny Worthington X Reader: Is He a Good Guy? Part One

You're at the university's library with your childhood friend Mike Wazowski. He's going to help you study a topic for one of your classes and since he's literally one of the smartest monsters you knew, it just seemed like he was the perfect guy to help. Not only that, but you kind of miss hanging out with him since he's been super busy with his classes and his studying. But at least he said that he doesn't mind helping you at any time, so that's good.

.

Mike: Okay, I think we got everything we need. Pencils, pens, paper, and uh… we're going to need a couple of history books.

Y/n: Why?

Mike: Trust me, you'll be surprised that certain pages will be able to help you understand more of the concept as well as helping you remember the purpose of it.

Y/n: Alrighty, I'll be right back.

.

You walk across the other side of the library since that's where the history section is. Several rows of shelves are stacked with history books and it seems like you're the only monster in this section, so finding the books you're looking for will be easy. Well… more or less.

It took you a little while, but you finally found the section you're looking for. You look at each book and see one you think would help you. Just as you were about to grab the book, you see another monster reaching for the book at the same time as you. Standing about five feet next to you is a tall purple monster wearing a red frat sweater. You are greeted with a friendly smile as his full attention is on you.

.

???: Sorry, I thought you were reaching for the book next to it.

Y/n: O-Oh I'm sorry, you can have that book.

???: Don't worry (Grabs the book and hands it to you) besides, you might need this more than me. The name's Jonny Worthington. I haven't seen you around here before.

.

You gently take the book and while he still shows you that friendly and calm smile, you introduced yourself.

.

Y/n: M-My name's Y/n. I don't go out much, especially since my classes have been keeping me busy.

Johnny Worthington: I get it. My classes have been keeping me busy too, but you also got to make some time to relax. Me, you probably know about the parties I throw almost every weekend.

Y/n: Oh yeah, you're the president of Roar O'Mega Roar.

Johnny Worthington: You got that right. I am throwing a party tonight. If you like, you can stop by and I can show you around.

Y/n: (Smile) I'll think about it. Well, I got to head back. Thanks for letting me have this book.

Johnny Worthington: Don't mention it.

.

He winks at you before walking in the other direction, leaving you be. You walk back to Mike with the history books and you sit down.

.

Mike: Hey, I saw you were talking to Johnny.

Y/n: Johnny Worthington? Oh yeah, he seems like a good guy.

Mike: He isn't. Trust me, you don't want to get involved with him.

Y/n: Why?

Mike: Remember when I caught the Fear Tech mascot? The pig?

Y/n: Yeah.

Mike: Well, Sullivan took all the credit and R.O.R took him in instead of me. And when I told them that I was a scarier, they all just laughed at me. Trust me, he's a huge jerk who only cares about himself and his reputation. Anyway, let's get started.

.

You and Mike study for about two hours and it worked. You now know and understand the material and feel pretty confident about it. That's when Mike packs his things while telling you he needed to do something. You said your goodbyes and he walks out of the library while you pack your things as well.

Once you have put everything back in your bookbag, you leave the library and enter the campus. Everyone's out enjoying the fall weather. Leaves are scattered all over the ground. The sun's out but it's a bit windy, so it's not too warm out. Some of sitting on the grass chatting among themselves and others walking around to class.

And then, of course, there are the usual stares you get from some of the guys here at the university. Can you really blame them? You're an extremely rare species of monster and you're beautiful. Most of your friends already have boyfriends and are still trying to set you up with a monster, but you feel like you don't have time to be in a relationship right now. Besides, you also feel like some of the guys here will only date you because of your looks and would brag to their friends that they're with a rare species.

You stop at the center of the bridge and turn towards the edge before sitting down. Looking beneath you, you see the water students heading inside the building underwater.

.

Y/n: Hm, still surprises me how big this university is.

.

Then your friend Carmen walks towards you, and with a beaming smile on her face, she sits next to you.

.

Carmen: Hey girl, you finally done studying for today?

Y/n: Ha, for today yeah. Thanks to Mike I—

Carmen: Yeah yeah yeah, anyway! I think I found the perfect guy for you.

Y/n: If it involves me going to one of the frat parties, you know how I feel about going to one of those.

Carmen: Oh come on! Even the goths go to those things and you never hear them complaining… to other monsters. You can meet him outside in the backyard and see how it goes. You don't have to dance with him or anything, just talk.

Y/n: But I got to study more and…

Carmen: Please…

.

For monster's sake, she's giving you the puppy-eye look again. In her mind, she doesn't want you to be single for the rest of the couple of years you'll be here.

.

Y/n: (Sigh) Fine, I'll go.

Carmen: Great! I'll text him right now and say that you're going to the party tonight.

Y/n: Tonight?!

Carmen: Yeah don't worry, besides you just said you were done studying for the day. I'll come with you.

Y/n: Alright, alright.

Carmen: You'll be fine, I promise you. Now come on, the party starts in three hours and I need you to help me pick out an outfit.

.

She gently takes your wrist as she leads you into the girl's dorm building. Knowing Carmen, she's going to be the one to help you with your love life and is determined to find you a boyfriend. You still don't get exactly why she's so eager to find you a boyfriend, but at least she takes what you like and don't like into consideration and doesn't push you too much. Maybe you could be a little more social for a change.
