19. Chieftain Boss

It was now evening and jack has less than 24 hours in the tutorial and he still has six main tasks to achieve, he gave two tasks to eizo and he said he will complete it till morning and jack was heading for one of the task that can only be done at the night, it was still a little early so jack was hunting monsters in the forest to compensate for the lost exp, he has lost 25,000 exp to get a soul weapon and a soul warrior which was a very beneficial exchange but for a beginner like him it was very steep price to pay. If he had lost any more exp he would have level downed to lv.8. Jack wanted to be first to reach level 10 and also first to reach town of beginnings and then level up as fast as possible.

As jack was fighting beasts a peculiar beast got jacks attention and he used mental eyes on him

Jack was interested in his magic skill 'fire breath' an elemental ability that was rare in tutorial monsters, only bosses may have it and there was a chance of a dungeon close by because these type of monster tend to stay in a closed areas.

jack killed all the beasts surrounding him and silently followed the beast to get to the area were the beast normally lived and after a while he found multiple beasts with similar appearance and jack scanned them to found all the beasts has the skill fire breath.

Jack started farming this monsters with hope of getting a fire related skill scroll and unknowingly headed to different direction where this beasts were abundant.

After 30 minutes,

Jack has slain around 30 flame hound and some another monsters but no luck with skill scroll or anything he only got exp, coins and few other common loot, but he was very happy because he leveled up twice once by his own grinding and second by his soul warrior eizo's exp sharing and he put the two level ups in the bronze skin skill because there were two reasons to skill up bronze skin and not fire ball.

One is he can't use fire skill against fire based enemy and second is increasing his vitality increases his shield hp as well as his hp which increases his survival chances and his vitality now is 48 still not the highest stat but not the lowest one as well.

He also had 4 free attribute points and for once he listened to his status screen notice and used all the points in intelligence and increased his mana to 150.

Jack was now was in front of a cave inside the forest. He went inside, it was wider inside and was filled with burnt smell after a while I found same flame hounds in a group of four to five, which made the fight a little tough so I used my paladin style of shield and sword and slowly chipped away their health.

I ignored the message because I was in enemy territory,

Although i could summon eizo anytime i want but i wanted to fight and get strong.

I came outside the cave to regenerate my lost health and i saw a two headed flame hound looking at him like how did you enter my territory, i used the defensive stance and the two headed hound used a flame breath attack , i tried to avoid getting hit but still got hit by some of the breath attack and my barrier health depleted instantly.

And when i looked up while thinking i should stop ignoring messages i saw myself surrounded by 20 or so flame hounds and one two headed flame hound, i scanned him using mental eyes to find some weakness

"My chance of living are slim if i fight but with my agility I may be able to run past him, I.... need to run" jack thought.

But he has decided to get strong and this was his opportunity to get strong, really strong if he survived this and his mind started running at a speed like never before and he stud up and ran inside the cave where he came from, the cave was his best option to fight and survive he ran until he saw a second entrance inside the cave, last time he saw it but he thought of not taking risk after fighting five hounds together.

He entered the second route, the hounds were still tailing him but after a while of running jack saw a end of the road he scanned the wall with mental eye and saw it was only a thin wall then he increased his speed and used defencive stance and tried using shield bash like in games, the wall was broken and jack was able to pass through he saw many shiny things and was surprised but he went towards a ordinary looking lake and scanned it and jumped inside it.

The flame hound came untill the edge of th water and started using flame breath but jack knew their range so it was easy to avoid after a while the hounds started barking to call their leader, jack smirked and removed a exquisite looking bow and examined it.
