Ceeret came searching for Lexine a few minutes after the lunch bell rang. Her red hair had been pulled up in a high bun, and her cheeks were devoid of makeup, showing off her freckled face.
When she noticed Lexine, she waved at her, "Lexine."
Lexine looked up at her, her usual frown on her face. "Hm?"
Ceeret walked up to her, a small smile making its way up her face. "I am guessing that my dad already told you about it, but he got someone to buy your gold."
Lexine nodded, bowing her head to finish placing her books in her backpack. That day that her father had called her out, he had told her that they should only give the gold they were planning to sell to him.
Lexine had accepted because he knew the market better than she would ever know.
She looked up at the red head who was wearing a pair of black slacks and a large cream white sweater over a black turtleneck. "So how long should my mom and I wait before he's sold the gold?"
