The Sorrowful Merchant
The world of Astria. A world where elves, humans, wearwolves, dwarves, devils and angels lives their life. It is but a clear sunny day where a merchant of Felo family, was getting on his steed to continue his journey. A humble mechant, for he knew his power the best. The power of money.
Yet on this day, He came upon a unique cup, which shared similarities in its structure and its lavishly decorated covering to the famous Holy Grail, a cup which brought ruins to its contracter. With Greed in his nature, he took ownership of the cup by taking it in his custody. But what he saw from his greedy eyes, was not the complete story.
On that night, came a revelation born from fate. With his tear-covered hands, he leapt from his bed only to take the cup in his hands. Immediately a beautiful light emmited from a point source at the cup's inner deppression which grasped his inner soul in such soothness, making him let go of all his attachment to the world for only a fraction of a second.
Being robbed of this light with its disappearance, he brought his attention to the cup only to notice 4 beads. Beads, more beautiful than the Queen of Elysia. More beautiful than anything he had seen.
With Greed feuling his eyes, either for the beads or the Holy Light, he showed his one wish. More. Making small cuts, producing small amount of poisonous gas and even putting water in his eyes just to produce one result. Tears. Just for that one extra chance to see the light, or to get more beads.
Failing for the nth time in 20 hours, he relented to use his painfull memories, which he had buried in the depths of his skull. As one by one, his memories passed by his eyes, making him cry a tear. A similar light. A similar bead. That result make him sought a terrible journey. One which even the goddess of cruelty might wish to not give upon the most cruel soul.
Thus, on the the 1st day of the Month of Aunguria, A merchant started his journey which would change the life of the whole of Astria, but for the merchant, this journey was for his greed. Greed for more tears.
