General Bethilda's eyebrows twitched, but she didn't let her annoyance show. She saluted lightly before giving her thanks.

"That'll be helpful, Secretary General Kim. Then, I'll be sending my Doppel Squad to collect the fallen Cores of the Echo Swarm earlier."

Just as she was about to give the command, Secretary General Kim waved a hand. "No need. We'll gather those too."

Although she felt like smacking the greedy man, General Bethilda held back. Hitting a senior officer would not only lead to her getting court-martialed, but even her subordinates would take a blow.

She heaved a deep breath, trying to calm down... but his next words made her almost snap instantly.

"Oh, I almost forgot... You're hiding Quinlan Gaudin, right? Hand him over."

"Quinlan?" General Bethilda tilted her head, acting oblivious. "After I handed him over to the prison, I haven't seen him."
