"Where am I?" The half naked silver haired youth in tattered clothing turned around to see a middle aged well refined man looking at him with shock on his face.

Seeing the lightning streaking in the eyes of the youth, the middle aged man felt a sense of fear as he took a step back.

"Where am I?" The youth asked once more, as he appeared in front of the man like a lightning bolt. "Uhhh California?" The middle aged man said while rubbing his head. "What? How did I get here?" The silver haired youth looked around, seeing the sort of archaic decoration in the room his heart shuddered.

"The last thing I remember, was... the black hole?!!" He began to mumble, as fear gripped

heart. "How did I get here?!" He began to grow frantic, as the blue lightning began to circulate around his body, and flashed in the surroundings, causing sparks to appear.

"Buddy, you've got to calm down." Seeing the frantic and frightened behavior, the middle aged man grabbed unto his shoulder and said with a frown. He understood how it would feel for someone to be stranded in an unknown land without any information of how he or she got there.

" Tell me!" The youth roared out. "I didn't see any black hole, but you sort of came through a tear in space and landed right in the midst of a battle about a year ago with severe injuries. I brought you here myself, and I'm shocked you're still alive." The man said, as Duke's body shivered, and his pupils dilated.

"W-what year i-is this?" the youth stammered. "May, 2007." The man said. 'Did I time travel?' 'No I'm not fast enough for that yet. Then where am I?' He calmed himself and took a seat.

Looking at himself, he saw he was half naked wearing a tattered suit, as he sighed. "I'm sorry." He apologized for his earlier outburst. "It's alright buddy. I know how it feels, trust me. Anyway, my name is Dr. Henry Pym, but you can call me Hank." The middle aged man patted the youth's shoulders and introduced himself.

"Umm, Duke Holland." Duke said respectfully. "Alright then son, why don't you go upstairs and take a nice shower, after sleeping for a while year, you should at least have a good shower, after that we'll talk about your situation. I'm kind of a scientist myself." The man said as Duke nodded.

.

After about 30 minutes of showering, Duke cleaned his hair with a towel, and brushed his teeth with a new toothbrush he found as he stood in front of a sink with a mirror adjoined to the wall and looked at his reflection.

"Man, I'm growing old." He scratched his chin which was full of rubble and chuckled, after which he walked out of the bathroom with just a towel on, half naked.

"Aaarghhhh!!" The moment he walked out, a shrill scream exploded forth, as he turned around and saw a young girl about his age, staring at him, as if she had seen a ghost.

"What?!! What?!" Instantly, the middle aged man burst out of his room, holding unto some clothes frantically.

"Dad!! A pervert!!!" The girl instantly pointed to Duke as she screamed out. "Calm down Hope. He's a friend." The man sighed and rubbed his temples, before throwing the clothes at Duke. "Mr. Holland. Why don't you meet me in my office after this." He said and left, as the girl glared at him warily, as he chuckled and went back into the bathroom.

"Knock!" After a few minutes, Duke knocked at the door he had seen Dr. Hank enter.

"Come in Mr. Holland, and uhhh have a seat." Dr. Hank invited him in, and offered him a seat. "Would you like to have something to drink?" Duke nodded, before he served him a cup of hot coffee.

"Mm. Umm Dr. Hank, you said uhhh I was asleep for a year?" Duke asked as he took a sip of his coffee and cleared his throat. "Exactly, about a year ago, I was in a heated battle, along with a group of allies, and when we were escaping, there a massive crack in space, and you fell out, and apparently, I was the only one who saw you that day." Dr. Hank said with a sigh.

"So tell me Duke, how did that happen?" He asked, as he looked at Duke seriously. "Ummm, back where I came from, I was part of a group called the Avengers, and uhhh we fought the Norse God from the myth called Loki, and he uhh opened a wormhole and brought an extraterrestrial race of warring aliens to conquer the earth and we defeated him, however, the wormhole had absorbed too much negative energy and had become a singularity, and I uhhh tried to stop the black hole from destroying my world, and then there was an explosion and the next thing I remember is waking up here." He said everything in one breath, before sipping his coffee and looking at the slightly surprised expression on Dr. Hank's face.

"I see. That explains about 95 percent of the situation." He replied with a small smile.

"Wait? You believe me?" Duke asked incredulously. "Of course, believe it or not, this earth has had its fair share of apocalyptic events." Dr. Hank said.

"This earth? You know the Avengers?? Duke looked on with a confused expression.

"I'm retired from the Avengers myself." Dr. Hank said with a slightly smug look. "Okayyy?" Duke raised an eyebrow. "Let's start from the top shall we?" Dr. Hank said, as Duke nodded.

"First off, how were you able to resolve a black hole?" He asked, as he looked at Duke with furrowed brows.

Seeing Duke hesitant, he flicked his fingers, before a small circular gadget with a red viscous liquid in the middle shot towards Duke. Instantly, time slowed to a crawl, as blue lightning began to streak within the room. Duke stood up from his seat, as he examined the small circular gadget moving at him with the speed of a snail, as he sidestepped and let it pass by him.

"I see. So you're fast." Time returned back to normal, as Dr. Hank looked at Duke and said with slight surprise. Duke turned around and looked at the cabinet behind him which had turned as small as the length of his finger.

"How did you do that?" Duke asked with a frown. "I invented a set of micro particles called the Pym particles which allow me to shrink and enlarge myself and anything I desire." He said smugly.

"I'm more interested in you now, Mr. Holland. I've met a lot of people who can move at supersonic speeds, but none of them could move fast enough to attempt to resolve a black hole. So how did you do it?" Dr. Hank asked. "Unlike other speedsters, my speed comes from a cosmic energy source." Duke said as Dr. Hank raised an eyebrow. However, after a few seconds realizations struck him, as his eyes widened in shock. "The Speed Force? How is that even possible?!" He asked with shock evident on his face.

"Wait, how do you know about the Speed Force?" Duke raised an eyebrow. "Are you fucking kidding me?! It's the most troublesome amongst all five cosmic forces!" Dr. Hank said in exasperation. "So you know what happened to me?" Duke asked with hope. "Sigh. Of course I do. It's spatio-dimensional travel." Dr. Hank said.

"Apparently, you moved so fast, you broke through the dimensional barrier of your earth and was sent to this earth." Seeing the slight confusion on Duke's face, he explained.

"That makes sense, but how do you know so much about the Speed Force?" Duke asked.

"About 2 years ago, this earth faced an extinction crisis, and the enemy was none other than the host of the Phoenix Force. At that time, the heroes of earth had to band together to face her, but lost badly. Hence, all the brilliant minds gathered together for an intensive study on the Phoenix Force, to try to find out its weakness, and then we found out that, there were four other forces." He sighed and said.

"I order to defeat the Phoenix, we tried to find a way to contact the Speed Force, and we succeeded, but it rejected us outright. However, the Sage force granted us insight and with its help, we subdued her." He said, as Duke frowned.

" You better hide the fact that you're the avatar of the Speed Force from the inhabitants of this earth, else you're in for a huge trouble" Dr. Hank warned.

"That doesn't matter, I just want a way to go back home. Is there a way to help me?" Duke asked earnestly. "No I can't. But there is someone who can help you, however, it'll take a lot of convincing to get him on our side."

Dr. Hank said.

"Our side?" Duke asked. "Yeah, our side. I'm going to help you get back home, but I have a proposition." He said. "I'm all ears." Duke would be foolish to not accept the help of a genius scientist and a former Avenger.

"I want you to take my daughter with you when you leave." He sighed and said.

"Okay, but isn't it going to cause issues between you?" Duke asked. "I lost her mother, during an intergalactic fight with an extraterrestrial race, and that's why I retired. I don't want her to be in danger, but this world is a mad place. I can rest easy, as long as she's safe." Dr. Hank sighed, as Duke nodded. He knew what it was to lose a loved one, so he completely understood him.

Unbeknownst to them, Hope was actively eavesdropping on their conversation, as tears flooded her eyes....
