CHAPTER 21

Zavez and his mother headed to the party. This party was for them to initiate contact and start a relationship with other businesses.

As they entered the Main Hall, they could see all the guests they have invited having fun and some talking with each other but the moment they all turned to see them coming down the stairs they raised their glasses as a greeting.

Zavez and his mother got themselves a glass of champagne from the waiters who were serving them and raised sharing the greetings.

They both then started to interact with their guests starting to secure a good relationship.

As this was going on, Andrew has already reached the mansion.

He was slow but with the help of Blink, he was able to easily hide from the huge flashlight which was moving in a semi-circle fashion.

Andrew was biding his time as he saw the light move slowly away from the place where he was standing and used Blink to reach the wall above him and jumped down.

He had now successfully entered the mansion.

'In 10 seconds, the light will come here again, I have to find a location to hide,'

He soon looked around and saw a manhole and quickly went and opened it.

He went in and hid there and closed it but there was a gap for him to see and get fresh air.

He was then contemplating how to enter the mansion house.

'Windows are difficult as the light traverses there as well, the main door is impossible with the number of guards there and the security check that is happening as they check each person though there are no more guests entering, the guards who are entering through another entrance is also difficult.'

As Andrew was thinking the light passed through him and was now hitting the windows in the mansion and one of the windows was open.

'That Window it is. Two Blinks should be enough, one to cover the distance and the other for height' he thought and waited for the light to move away.

As the light went past him, he quickly got up and closed the manhole.

He used Blink to cover the distance and was now standing in front of a window.

Guards could be seen patrolling inside the mansion and two were coming right at him which Andrew knew through his Dark Vision.

There was close to 20 meters distance between them and Andrew could only say this because they were at the edge of the Dark Vision Range.

He was not able to see through the glass of the window as they were tinted.

He used Blink and reached to the window he wanted to go to and entered it.

He closed the window behind him and relaxed. His Dark Vision turned off as it reached the time limit.

He hid beside a bed and activated Dark Vision again.

As the Dark Vision manifested, he was relieved there was no one in the room and no one in the corridors as well.

He brought up his Abilities && Enhancement Screen as it faded into his sight.

He saw that his Strength, Agility, Shadow Kill, and a few more were showing signs that they can be unlocked.

'Which one should I unlock? These three have their perks. Strength is something that I would need to consolidate. If I have the physical strength of 1 ton all of a sudden, I might rip the head of all the ones I am choking to unconsciousness which I don't want to happen, agility, on the other hand, will be beneficial in the long run and I don't require it now. Shadow Kill… the ones I kill… I will need this. Should I save the Runes and unlock Bend Time or should I use the Runes and unlock Shadow Kill now?' his thoughts had to stop as he heard footsteps.

Andrew used Dark Vision as its time was over and saw who was coming and saw it was 4 guards.

They were entering the next room and were checking it.

Andrew saw a small window between the door and the wall above, he saw some space where he will be able to crouch down there.

He used Blink the next second and waited once he reached there.

He turned the Dark Vision off as he could see them.

"Let's split, you two go to the other side and I and Raymond will take care of this end, if you find something let us know," one of the guards said pointing to who he believed to be Raymond.

"Fine, we have to check the third floor as well, the Head Operator has sent those four outside to check for something, this is our only chance," said a guard and walked away to the other side which had a small lobby, and going further there were 3 rooms that they had to check.

'Only chance?' this confused Andrew but he put it at the back of his mind.

Andrew used Domino and connected the minds of the two. He then jumped and started the choke one of them and soon the guard was rendered unconscious and the same happened to the other as well.

He looked at the Mana and saw that it was 65%.

(A/N: Rooms and Corridors. Consider 6 rooms on the left side and one pathway in the middle of the corridor on the right for them to enter the 3rd floor. If they enter from the pathway there will be 3 rooms on each left and right side. Above each door will be a short gap where a man can fit through. Hope this helps.)

'It will take 10 minutes for it to become full. There should be a way for me to increase the Mana instead of waiting. Whenever I use a skill 20% of Mana is regenerated, there should be something happening for it to increase by 20% on its own. I have to grasp that and learn to manually increase rather than it automatically increases,' thought Andrew.

He used Blink to go after the other two. He saw through his Dark Vision they were checking a room.

They were doing a thorough checking.

He closed on them but hid outside the door to hear them chatting.

"It's not in this room as well," said one of the guards.

"We have to find it or our contractor won't like it if we went empty-handed," said the other guard.

"We have to check in the Master Bedroom, it should be there as I heard the lady say there is safe there as well," said the guard.

"We can only hope. Anyway, did you ask for the pay increase?"

"I did. He said that based on our performance he will see to it that increases. He also talked about a mission to silence a military guy who was recently said to have escaped the prison,"

Andrew hearing this decided to listen closely.

"Yea, I remember a news talking about a guy killing his family and bringing drugs to the country as well"

"He should be the one, his name was Andrew, right? I heard the Madam's son here was a part of his missions as well. I heard him describe that guy as a monster walking in the human form"

"There is nothing here let's check the other room and get to the Master Bedroom," said the guard as they moved to the entrance of the room.

'Is this about the Only Chance that guard talked about? Only Chance for them to search for something? And who is this, Contractor? He has the resources to infiltrate the mansion without Zavez's knowledge. Should I let these two be and meet the contractor through them? Who could it be? If they are stealing something from Zavez and wanting to give it to their contractor then it must be some kind of information that Zavez is having as leverage against whoever is against him. Zavez is a coward by nature and they all would believe if I went after him, he will spew everything out which is not what they want, so they should have decided to silence him but since he is having something against them, they are not taking the next step. If I get whatever Zavez is having it will be an advantage but I need to know who this contractor is and if I capture him, I can get more information but should I risk it, that's the question.'

Andrew used Blink and hid above a cupboard that was inside the room.

The two guards did not notice Andrew and chatted as they went to the next room.

Andrew used Domino again and knocked out one of them which made the other faint as well.

As he was thinking of moving to the 2nd floor, he only then noticed a Rune in one of the rooms he just passed by.

He went inside the room and could see the rune in one of the closets. He opened it and collected it.

He then took the Heart out and saw it beating faster.

He thought for a whisper and he got it.

'Burn to the ground? Bombs? This will be helpful.'
