The Six Legendary Cores Of The Devas - Part 1

Suddenly it started to decrease the pace of its March and fell down. It seemed as if it fainted due to using up all of its stamina and heavy blood loss.

"D-did it die...?", Ryuu moved closer to it and confirmed its death after 20 minutes.

"But... it shouldn't have died with just that much...", he seemed confused too.

"Just what is the world had happened to it earlier?"

Ruuu thought deeply because all he wanted to do was slow it down or stop it but suddenly the gigantic mammoth that was running furiously a moment ago was now lying in front of him that too with a lifeless body!

"Was it poisoned or was it something else?", that wa sthe only conclusion that he could get.

But he didn't understand one thing which kept on bugging him again and again.

"Why is this mammoth here?", in the forest in which Ryuu was standing right now, there shouldn't have been any mammoths.

They were long extinct from this forest because of being constantly hunted and were therefore rare beasts.

They were indeed found in other forests but it was almost impossible to find them here.

"Oh well, I'll see that later. For now, I guess I can extract it's core and search for other herbs."

There were 2 ways to get cores from monsters or beasts.

One was by physically slashing and tearing them apart and removing the core from their body which was easily for small beasts or beasts with thin fur but would be greatly difficult for huge beasts with thick fur and armour.

This method was done by the people who hasn't reached any realm or their strength was still that of a normal human.

The second method was just extracting the core spiritually by leaving its actual body within the beast.

It's energy would be forced to leave the original core and come out of the mammoths body which would be then put into another core.

Ryuu thought about going with the second method since he had the extra Core piece of the Yellow Horned bull from earlier.

However there was a great flaw, the core might break eventually because it couldn't handle the energy and soul of a 5 star mid Martial beast when it's capacity is only for a 1 star Lower Martial powers.

Also, empty cores were sold in high price and there was a lot of demand for it because of which it couldn't be neglected.

"What do I do?", Ryuu couldn't make any decision since the second method wasn't easy and the core would get destroyed.

"Damn... if only there was a way to store the energy for now then I would have been able to cultivate it later...", just as he said this, suddenly a yellow light started glowing from his left leg.

The light was blinding which forced Ryuu to close his eyes tightly. He wasn't aware of what was happening because it was so sudden.

"Uhhhh!!! What the fuck is this?", he didn't realise that the light was actually from his leg.

Even before he could see the source the light was too intense because of which all he could do was close his eyes and wait for the light to fade away.

He waited for 2-3 minutes and then slowly tried to open his eyes only to find that the light had faded away.

"Phew, what the heck was that?", he was shocked and confused for a minute. Then he looked here and there in order to see if it was someone's or something's doing but couldn't find anyone in the near vicinity.

"Weird... was that light from the mammoth?", was what he asked himself.

"Uhh! Let me store it's wnergy a bit and then later on I will see what has happened."

He flashed the core in front of him and started to call out the bull's soul using which he wanted to extract the mammoth's soul energy.

"...", nothing happened for the time being.

He then repeated the process but the result was still the same!

No matter what he did he wasn't able to gain the soul energy of mammoth.

"This is weird. Why isn't any energy coming from its body? It's as if no energy existed in the first place!", saying this he went closer to the mammoth and put some of his own soul energy inside it to verify if his thinking was correct.

"..."

"Holy shit! There is indeed no soul power inside it!", he grabbed his hairs while saying this because what he just jow experinced was totally unbelievable.

"You are kidding me! How is that even possible!!?", he panicked because no beast could exist without a soul in fact it was the same for all living creatures.

"...", he thought about it for a while and came to a conclusion that it was the light which did something.

He could clearly feel soul energy earlier that was being radiated from the mammoth but right now the soul has vanished which meant that it was clearly the work of the light or someone else who took the soul and vanished while he wasn't paying attention.

"Damn! Today seems to be my worst day...", he was sad and immedaoeyky started to return back to the other places where he could find the remaining herbs.

"I wasn't able to get Dark Frost and now I couldn't even get the mammoth...", he was cussing as he went back towards another place.

He gathered some herbs which were kissing earlier and now had 9 herbs out of a total 10. The only herb that was missing now was the Dark Frost which was one of the rarest herbs of the entire forest.

It would be practically impossible for him to find it but he didn't give up and continued to search for it while being in a bad mood because of all things that he missed today.

But little did he know that the 6 legendary cores of the devas were already fused with his body and had become a part of him.

It was one of the six cores which stored the energy of the mammoth including the soul which was being refined inside him.

"Alas... I need to find just one more herb and start preparing the pill...", saying this he ran with all his might while the sun was setting peacefully with cool breeze surrounding him and caressing him gently as he dashed forward
