Chapter 1

The City is a place where many people would call "home". Naturally, a place called "home" should be safe. But even inside the City, no one is safe from threats of The Scavengers, Abnormals, and many others. Not only is there no safe place in the City, but there are also no other places to live outside the City.

Inside District 7, the Northern part of the City, a man in a black trench coat with a black hat is seen walking down the night streets towards a building. The building is between two tall apartments. The rain started to pour harder as the man continues to walk down the street.

The man then walks up the small stairs leading up to the front door of the building. He then presses a button on the right side of the door. Below the button is a sign that says "Dos Office". A woman voice can be heard from behind the door asking, "District and Colour?"

The man then knocks 23 times quickly and then he said, "Red Pool". After the man said that, the clanking of irons was heard from behind the door. The door then opens, revealing a few figures standing there.

Behind those figures is a hallway that has a door on each side as well as a stairway that leads both upwards and downwards. The figure, starting from the left side is a man who looks to be in his late forties. He wears white attire with a white top hat and a monocle. He has a grey-ish mustache as well as a crystal clear blue eye and the aura of a dignified old man. He holds a pocket watch in his right hand. The hour hand is pointing just behind 11 and the minute hand pointing between 11 and 12. While his left hand is hidden behind his back.

Then, the man in the middle looks to be in his early twenties. He wears an unbuttoned light green suit with a loose green striped necktie. On his left hand is an armband that has a weird diagram pattern on it. On his right shoulder is a squirrel with a brown top hat. His right hand is patting the squirrel while his left hand is inside his pocket. His dark green hair stretches to his shoulder as he has a yellow-colored eye.

Then, the woman on the right whose voice was the one coming from behind the door previously before the door was opened. She looks to be in her mid-twenties. She wears a red shirt with two buttons on her shirt unbuttoned, revealing her breasts pushing against her tight red shirt. She also wears a brown trench coat. On the left side of her trench coat is a red-colored pattern that continues to her left arm. She holds a cigarette in her right hand while she holds her hip with her left hand. Her hair is that of a dark shed of red that covers her shoulder.

"You sure took your time coming here, Axel. You must've thought we had a lot of free time to make us took care of your kid," the man with green attire said as he puts his little squirrel inside the front left pocket of his suit.

"Sorry about that. I had to take care of some "business" before coming here. Although, thanks for taking care of my kid. Especially you, Wyatt. I heard you got a lot of work when she made a mess in the kitchen while trying to make something," Axel replied with a warm smile on his face.

Wyatt stares deeply into Axel's eyes and said, "Like I have any other choice." Wyatt then simply let out a sigh and went upstairs.

"Please forgive young Wyatt's attitude towards you, young Axel. Although it is not visible now, he'll eventually open up to you. Slowly but surely," The man in white attire said to Axel as he puts his pocket watch inside of his pocket and then places his right hand behind his back.

"Don't worry about it. I'm already used to the way he acts towards me. You do know that you don't have to take care of me like I'm a kid in the past. Right, old man Fulario? Or should I say, The White Past?" Axel then shows a wide grin on his face.

"My, my, please, that is already in the past. I am no longer as strong nor as wise as I was in the past. Although, if I must be honest, I still think I'm stronger than you, for now. I'm sure that you will surely surpass me shortly," Fulario replied as he stares back at Axel with a smile on his face.

"Hurry up and get inside. We've got works to do and things to deal with. There's also a special request saying that they wanted to hire the entirety of our office," The woman said as she walks down the hallway then opens the door on the right side. The two men then follow inside.
