65 What Happened?

Khane appeared tense and shaken as he began revealing the tragic story of his past. After composing himself, he finally explained what had actually happened.

"You might not know this, Olivia, but Hanzo and I... we were once enemies who held mutual respect for each other," Khane said in a serious tone. "We were always in conflict, but we did so with honor. Hanzo had a mate, and they were a perfect pair. When Hanzo found his mate, he gained more strength than ever before."

Khane continued his story. "There was a dispute with another mafia group, and of course, we got involved. That's when everything changed. I arrived first, unaware that Hanzo's mate, a woman named Melani, was in danger. The people who kidnapped her took her as a hostage, and it was then that they did something that took Melani's life."
