Again

Kael woke up and then he pushed-ups hundred times. Exercising to build up his strength while he's still young. Kael went to the bathroom after his exercise and took a bath with a warm water to alliviate his muscles. He changed clothes for his new day with his adventuring clothes, packing up to leave the Kingdom. He opened the door and then locked it after closing it. He saw his other adventurer friends while he walks downstairs, just waiting for him at the end of the stairs.

"Hey, good morning!" Greeted the mage while raising his hands.

"Good morning too! How's your sleep?" Kael asked him.

"It's good! And I'm having a bit of an headache from the hangover," he replied.

Kael tapped his shoulders then gestured a thumbs up. 

"The others?" Kael asked him.

"They are waiting in the carriage. Let's catch up with them. Don't worry, we have breakfast at the carriage on hand," The Mage said to him.

They traveled to the carriage and then met with the others. They were wave their hands as they saw them. Fred gestured to double time their speed as they were walking lousily. Kael sighed as he still felt sleepy but hurried with his pace. 

"Have you eaten yet? We have freshly baked bread here. Let's eat while we're on our way," said Fred while handing them one bread each..

"Okay, so let's go!" said Kael said as he entered the carriage.

They all followed inside the carriage and then they ate their given food.

Kael was silent on the rest of the way. He was pondering why the war broke out and why the human king was greedy of ruling all the races. As he was in thought, he surrendered in being too nosy about their past. It wouldn't help him at the very least. 

They passed through the bricks road of the Barbarians, the laborers were not present this time and they all were relaxed while on the way. The road was again bumpy and their relaxed mood ends there. The construction was still unfinished and will be continued in the future. Kael was sitting at the back while whistling a happy song. They all enjoyed their ride and the party's morale went up.

"What did you observed at the Barbarians, Kael? They were prideful. But peace-loving people, aren't they?" Fred asked him.

"Yep. They were truly a peaceful kind of people, but be careful not to offend them. They were a bunch of battle maniacs," Their Priest said to Kael.

"Really?" Kael replied, being perplexed.

"Yep, don't make them angry," their Mage added.

"Okay!" Kael replied.

Kael engraved it on his mind and remembered it. It was better to remember their advice because they will be a great help in the future.

They were traveling and they saw a carriage that was blocking the way. It has full of arrows and holes while severely damaged.

"Halt!" said the driver as he stopped the horse.

"Check for survivors! But be careful of another ambush," Fred said to them.

Kael went outside together with their Paladin and their leader. Their Ranger was watching the cliffs and was ready to alarm them anytime. Their Mage was also ready to fire a spell, on the edge of blasting off enemies when they were attacked.

The Knight and Paladin raised their shields and approached step by step. They scanned the surroundings and saw that the horse was not there.

"They were ambushed for sure," said their leader.

"Probably bandits, Barbarian bandits. Look at the carriage, it has marks left by axes," Said the Paladin.

They approached the door and then on Fred's signal, they kicked the door. They looked at the inside and saw nothing. Only bloodstains that littered the floor were staring back at them.

"Well that was anti-climatic!" said Kael.

After Kael said it, their Ranger shouted.

"Arrows!" he screamed.

Kael and the others take cover and their Ranger fires at them.

[Rapid shot]

He initiated a skill that fires rapidly for three seconds. He killed four after the skill expires. He then takes cover after they rained their arrows at him.

The Barbarian bandits then ambushed them. They were hiding in the bushes, some were at the broken trees. Some jumped at the cliff.

Rarrrrrr!!!

They all screamed while holding their axes.

"Regroup!" shouted Fred. 

Kael and the others went back to their carriage to follow the command.

"We're surrounded! Again!" Kael screamed.

He draws his sword then defended their selves. The enemies were numbered twenty plus and they were only six.

[Fireball]

[Shield flash]

[Slash]

[Rapid shot]

They used their skills to kill the enemies.

It killed five of the enemies that were hit by a fireball and rapid shot. Their enemies were blinded by the light so they have time to attack them. They killed another five before the blinding flash wears off. Ten were left that were unscathed.

The enemies also initiated their skills.

[Berserk]

[Fury]

They rapidly slammed their axes to them and they were at pinch. Kael rapidly slashes together with them.

Prrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnngggggg!!!

Sounded their weapons and shields.

Kael coped up with their slashes but was slowly tired out due to their heavy strikes. Also, it was fast. He successfully wounded one, but he was injured too by three slashes of axes on his hands.

[Axe slam]

The barbarian who made his skill slashed his axe vertically.

Kael defended them and his sword almost broke due to the impact. He managed to defend it but his strength was almost used up.

'Skills were troublesome,' Kael thought in his mind.

Fred slammed his shield, then slashed his enemy. Killing his enemy with a deep wound.

Johansenn fires his arrow at the enemy but the enemy blocked it with his axe. Andre fires his fireball and it struck the one who Kael was dueling. Kael ducked at the right time and struck the other one.

The priest healed Kael with the [Minor heal] and his wounds on his hands have disappeared. Kael didn't wasted time and immediately attacked.

Estes, the Paladin slams his hammer on his enemy.

[Hammer smash]

[Shield smash]

He landed his strike to his enemy and then slammed his shield. The enemy was thrown to the impact.

"Seven left!" shouted Fred.

"Kill them all!" shouted the Barbarian leader.

They again attacked and were fiercer than before.

"You wanna die?! Then die!" shouted Fred.

They attacked with greater anger. The Knight and Paladin who were positioned in the front held their shields with greater strength. They attacked, while Kael was protecting the Priest and Mage.

The fight continued and they hold their ground. Their Knight and Paladin blocked their attacks, while Kael was behind them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Kael held his sword, then attacked it together with them. He jumped, then slashed one of them vertically. He killed one, then retreated in the opposite direction. They occupied two and Kael occupied another two.

"Come here, scumbags!" Kael exclaimed.

The Barbarian bandits attacked him. Kael approached them while holding his sword. He turned and slashed one after another. They were wounded and then blood gushed out from their body. Kael approaches the one from behind and pierced him from the back.

"Damn you!" The Barbarian he attacked blurted out in his last breath.

"No!!!" The other one screamed as he saw his friend killed.

Kael then went behind him in split second and knocked him out with his hands by a karate chop on his nape.
