Chapter 02

3 days has passed since our little talk with Levy, under that 3 days I have been stress eating at night not knowing what to feel, either to mourn my indirect rejection from Edward or feel threatened of Lumic's crazy fan girls? I don't know what to do can someone please slap the sense out of me and make the decision for me? Me and decision making is a no no.

I also didn't mention that under those 3 days I have been dragged by crazy girls asking what's my relationship with him. I've only just met him like 4 days ago, like seriously? Of course I'd just smile awkwardly at them and shake my head and say 'nothing' of course.

And the worst part of it all is that I didn't actually got the chance to hang out with Uncle Gary nor Edward, I texted uncle that I couldn't attend our little dinner because something came up and of course he got worried and even suggested that Ed should stay with me but I decline the offer -even though it was tempting.

Later on Edward was the one blowing up my phone with dozens of missed calls oh how I want to pick them up but I should really learn how to not, like he has a girlfriend now I can't just depend on him like I always do now its different not like before so I can't, definitely can't.

"VENUS LUMIER"Oh shit, speak of the guy.

I then hurried to my door which is not so far cause I'm on the living room sulking trying to make peace with my devilish mind and mood as I was near the door he kept on knocking the door hard, ouch! If I was the door I'd surely scream at him. Without thinking twice I suddenly opened the it in which I really regret on doing so, cause he was about to knock again and when he thought he would hit the door he hit my fore-head instead, what the?

"Ouch!" I scream-cried while rubbing my fore-head pouting.

"Ve! Hehe my bad sorry" He apologized while rubbing his head I keep on rubbing my fore-head and look at him.

"O-oh, what brings you here Eddy?"I ask while stepping out of the way to let him in, as I feel that the pain subsided I put my hands down to my hips.

"Why? Can't I visit my best friend? And also dad wanted me to give you this" He then move inside and I close the door, as I turned to look at him he then handed me a tons of bags, I opened each one which consists of lots of chocolates, ice cream, marshmallow, strawberries, and girly stuffs? Really? Am I not a woman enough?

"He does know I don't wear girly stuff right?" I asked raising a brow at his direction.

"Yep!"He answered putting his hands on his pockets while walking to the sofa, and whilst doing it he also got the remote and turned on the TV and searching the channels.

"I'll just put all the foods to the kitchen, want anything?"

"The usual please"

"Okay"

Before I got to the kitchen I then spotted the tall mirror around the corner, I stop at the mirror and try to examine myself. Hmm, I may not have told you this but, I'm that type of person who actually doesn't care about what I wore, to make it simple I don't have any fashion senses actually not only that but I also may have gotten my eyes ruined in a young age to make it also simple, I need glasses or contact lens to see.

My brown hair is tied in a messy bun, I'm actually wearing my glasses since its not weekdays, I'm wearing an oversize t-shirt- ahem which actually belonged to Edward at first ahem- tucked in my shorts sighing oh well. I then continue to make my way to the kitchen putting away the things Uncle got for me, upon done doing so I then took out the solo size blueberry and vanilla ice cream and getting two spoons as I was about to make my way to the living room I then hear Ed's shout.

"And yeah Venus? We need to talk"

Say what now? Talk? TALK?! Talk about what? I then hurried to the living room to find him shirtless, again with this this man really needs to stop taking his shirt when he is comfortable at someone's home. But that's not the issue here Venus, damn! I'm freaking nervous anybody who hears the sentence 'lets talk' would go nuts! Specially if the one who says it is someone dear err you love or so.

"T-talk? Talk about what now?"I asked while sitting down at the right side of the sofa, I then hand him his blueberry and a spoon.

He then slowly opened it while I opened my ice cream cup almost instantly, damn his slow moves is agonizing! He scooped one mouth full of blueberry ice cream, as he was about to chomp it down I again ask.

"What do you want to talk about?" I ask nervously, he then chomp his ice cream and look at me.

Damn it Eddy! I swear you're making me nervous! He then took out his spoon from his mouth and began to scoop an ice cream again while looking seriously at me, not even paying attention to his scoop of ice cream.

"I heard you met Lumic" he said seriously, I then look him in the eyes and nod slowly.

"O-oh, ah yeah. I did" I confessed, quite disappointed though I was hoping of something else meh and folks that is why to never get your hopes up.

Damn who am I kidding, this is why we don't usually get our hopes up. I was hoping he'd say something bizarre, about me and him. I then scoop an ice cream and ate it.

"I actually met him at the library, why?" I ask taking the spoon out of my mouth and scooping another ice cream, and actually going in a fast pace on scooping. This is how I stress eat sooner or later I'll probably freeze my brain.

"What was he like?" He ask

"Well, um at first he was mysterious, then cool, next is moody and all bad boy stuff" I confessed while thinking back and adjusting my glasses.

After I answered his question I began scooping a lot of ice cream on my spoon and lick and eat it, I was actually near to finishing my ice cream so I slow down my pace in eating.

"Oh, well then. A piece of advice Ve, don't get too close to him" he warned then ate his ice cream, I was quite shocked at what he said.

"What? Why?!"

"Because" Because? Now that's quite broad and too plain to be an excuse.

"But I like him" I blurted out and whined.

Wait? What did I just say? Wide eyes I looked at Edward both of us having the same expression: Shocked and speechless.

"You WHAT?!"He said with wider eyes now.

"N-no, that's that's n-not not what I mean, I-I-I don't like LIKE him, I like him as a friend" I reasoned, shoot! I should've said that sooner, why did I have to stammer so bad?

"Good" Good? Why? I'm getting suspicious here, no Venus no! No more hopes okay! As if he read my mind he opened his mouth and reasoned.

"Because bubble head, he is already dating Lisa Heart" Ohhhh, so that's why.

"Lisa Heart? The younger sibling of the Heart Family? The owner of THE HEART RESTAURANT?" I asked getting closer, he then chuckled and nod chuckling at my actions.

"Yes, yes and yes. Although she doesn't own the Heart Restaurant, but she does own a dress shop" I then went back to my original seat and still can't believe what I just heard

"Oh . My . Gosh" I exclaimed.

"What?"

"So, I've been dragged by girls for nothing?" I exclaimed dramatically with my hands up high, he then only just raise an eyebrow as if telling me he doesn't get me.

"I mean, if Lumic Neel is dating Lisa Heart wouldn't his fan girls go after her instead and not me? I've been dragged by them for 3 consecutive days asking me what was our relationship"

"Oh that, yeah well"

"Well what?"

I then placed my now empty cup of ice cream on the center table, still glued to the fact that I couldn't have been dragged around like a ragged doll those girls I'll get my revenge someday just you watch bwahahahahahahaha just kidding though.

"They've been dating for 2 years now, and that only half the students know, plus Lumic's been gone for a year and mostly students thought they broke up, so yeah"

He answered, then stood up took my cup of ice cream with him an throw away our empty cups of ice cream.

"Well, now that makes sense"

"Yep"

"But still, didn't they ever saw them hanging out?" I shouted cause he was now at the kitchen.

"Nope!"

He shouted back, then made his way back at the living room and plop down at the sofa.

"What? Why?"

"Lumic's been gone for a year and half, basically he just showed up now, the day you met him was the day he actually got back from I dunno where, plus Lisa's been quite busy with her shop and modeling as well so yeah, nope they haven't been seen at school all lovey dovey" Whoa, finally calming down I stared at Edward with an 'o'.

"And tell me again why you know this gossip?" I ask tilting my head a little to the side.

"I'm at the same grade as he is remember?" He said and smirking at the end, damn! I nearly forgot about that, wait? Does that mean Gabriel's older than me?

"Does that mean Gabriel's-"

"Nope, Gabe is as same as you are" As he was done talking his phone suddenly rang, looking at the screen he smiled softly.

"Its Gabe" He said while moving far, I then momentarily pout, ouch.

"Hey Lu, I gotta go" He said while picking up his shirt and putting it on.

"Leaving so soon?" I pouted and giving him my best puppy eyes.

"Oh com'n don't give me that face, I'll call you soon okay?" He says coming near me and then ruffles my hair, making it more messy than ever, humph!

"Gee, you don't have to mess my hair" He then chuckles and slowly walks away.

"I'll get going now, bye Princess"

"Bye"

And with that he went to my door opens it then shut it down. There goes my Prince Charming, going to rescue another Princess when he actually have me I sighed now what am I gonna do? I then face my wall clock only to see that it was still 3 at the afternoon, nearly 4 actually.

Well! Might as well enjoy my Saturday at the park, I then scurried to my bedroom and change unto more outdoor outfit. I then pick a white top and a hoodie, with jeans and a pair of snickers to go by. With that done I then grab my wallet, house key, earphone, and phone.

As I double check everything it seems I have the things I needed, as I glance up the clock its still early, 3:18 pm. That's cool I can still watch the sunset at the park, and off I go.

****At the Park****

Okay! Now I'm here, so now what? Now what? Yesh, I actually came here with no plan at all! Well, I did plan on seeing the sunset but that is until 5 pm, and its still 3:40 might as well play at the swings.

I then walk to the swings and sit at one of the three swings I think I'll just have to relax before the sunset, I then grab my phone and earphone plugging both ends on my ears, I then randomly chose a song, closing my eyes to feel the music as it flows.

Seconds pass and I opened my eyes again. Right in front of me, I see a black haired man playing with the kids. Black hair wearing a black polo and white under shirt, with a black jeans and some snickers.

He was playing tag along with the other kids, then it hit me, that that man was no other than Lumic Neel himself. He was chasing four kids who were running everywhere, one little black with a mixture of blonde haired girl was running towards my direction with a wide smile plastered on her face that is until she tripped herself, she then sat up and stared blankly at me, seconds later on she became teary eyed.

I then stood up pulled my earphones out and went my way towards the little girl, I then sat at the ground so that I can see her clearly, when we can finally be at each others height there she finally cried, and I who doesn't know how to deal with kids began to panic.

"H-hey don't cry, please don't cry it's alright I got you" I cooed as I dusted her up she soon tried not to cry, holding tight on her little dress to not cry, Lumic then appeared right beside us.

"MAE! What happened?"

"She fell" I said to him, the little girl then faced Lumic and started to cry again, while this time she stuck her arms out as if telling him to pick her up and so he did.

"Oh here now, where does it hurt?" He cooed as he picked her up, I then stand back up again.

"Here" The little girl said, pointing to her knees and fore-head, Lumic then smiled at her and kissed her knees then fore-head.

"There, much better?" He asked trying to make her smile.

"Hm!" The little girl hummed while nodding having a little grin on her face as well as Lumic, he then faced me and smiled.

"Thank you for helping my niece, Miss-?" wait? He forgot my name? Now that's harsh, I then cleared my throat and answer for him hoping he would actually remember.

"Venus, Venus Lumier" I said to him.

"Hmm! Thanks a lot Veronica" He beam and then there goes my name, from Venus to Veronica? If only a tick mark could appear then it would've appeared on my forehead, like who would assume that he'll murder my name like that?

"It's V E N U S" I said it again emphasizing my name more.

"Hmm" He hums and grin widely, he then reach out his right hand and.

"I'm Lumician Neel, nice to meet you!" He said cheerfully while still carrying the little girl on his left arm, and of course I accepted his hand and that'd be bad manners if I don't.

"Nice to meet you too Lumician" I then let go of his hand and things got awkward like how did his name changed from Lumic to Lumician? That is very weird and very suspicious, a twin? Maybe?

"Lumi can you please put me down now?" the little girl pleaded as she looked at Lumic with puppy dog eyes.

"Awe but I like carrying you" He cooed as he snuggled to her more.

"But I wanna play" she pouts and he then chuckled and put her down.

"Be safe okay?" He said sounding concerned to her, that is quite nice of him.

"Of course!" And then she ran off, almost stumbling and tripping on her feet of course.

"And here I told her to be safe" he said sounding worried for her, while I just giggled at his reaction as she was far away I then go back to the swings and sit, Lumic or Lumician of course followed and occupied the sit next to me in the middle.

"So" he started.

"Yes? Can I help you?" I ask looking at him with a smile on my face.

"What are you doing here all alone?" he ask as he slowly start to sway his swing

"Just waiting for the sunset, or pretty much just wandering around, you?" I replied as I too start to swing.

"With my niece, and also adapting to the country" he simply replied.

"Hmm?" I hummed curiously at him as I watch him swing back and forth.

"Well, I just got here from Canada, I'm still in the middle of adjustment" oh, so that's why. Well he does have a point he just got here 3 days ago.

"Well then, Welcome to Japan" I said smiling widely at him.

"Yup, good to be here" He smiles and look at the kids playing, and so did I.

"So, where do you go to? I mean you know, school"

"Oh, I'm currently enrolled at Key High University"

I blurted out without second thought, wait why did he just ask? We met 3 days ago at the library, I then looked at him and saw him stiffen on the swing. Well that's odd he has been quite suspicious lately, as I stared at him I feel like he's keeping secrets that shouldn't be casually talked.

"what was your name again?" He asked, sounding nervous and edgy.

"Venus Lumier, why?" I asked now really curious at what he is hiding.

"Year?"

"1st year college majoring in literature" I answered truthfully with one eyebrow raised, he then let out a deep sigh, now what was that about? He then took out his phone checked the time and gave it to me, and of course I took it with having a question kind of look on my face.

"Can you save your number here? I actually wanna talk to you more" He asked sheepishly, I nod and looked at his phone.

"Sure" I then type my phone number on his phone and gave it back to him.

"Thanks" he said, and on cue a limo appeared and popped the horn. I look at Lumic and shocked he go pale from seeing the limo, ah transportation sickness I nod twice at his reaction.

"Oh no" He says lowly, the little girl then came to us running

"Luummiii home?" his niece ask as she extend her arm to pick her up, after doing so he look back at me.

"Nice meeting you Victoria, I'll call you later"

"Its Venus! and nice meeting you too" He grinned and jogged towards the limo and stepped in, and with that they drove off leaving me alone here at the swings, well better get going too either way.

Walking back while the sun was setting is calming and serene the feeling of content and at peace is over flowing, that is until my mind wandered back to my long time crush or so be it called first love. It hurts knowing that my first love is now taken by a woman that I hardly know, but it's ok as long as he is happy with her than I shall support their relationship with each other.

Looking up at the sky stars were now starting to shine and twinkle up at the darker side, 'I'll always be by your side' he told me that he will always be but now I don't think so anymore. A silent tear rolled down and a sad smile tug on my lips, I'll be happy for you both but just this once can I cry my heart out? Just this once.

"I'm an idiot, I should've told him years ago" not being able to hold back my aching heart I finally let my tears flow out uncontrollably.

"I shouldn't have taken my time I shouldn't have, now look at him now Venus happy with someone else" I scolded myself oh my gosh thank God there was no one around or it would've been embarrassing.

Taking a deep breath in and letting it out calming my nerves and trying to compose myself, 'it's alright Venus it's alright just think of this as one of those trials and we will soon get through this' I mentally assured myself trying to calm down and continue walking home.

I just hope things will get better and less heartache soon, I just hope so.
