Chapter 3. Date with another crush

Jace's p.o.v

I was talking to Nico when Danny came to us with a amusing and heart warming smile on her face. God I love her smile. Shut up mind, "hi guys " she said in an exited tone. " why are you so happy Dan? " I asked her. " Jacob asked me to come on a date with him" she said. I looked at nico and both our jaws clenched knowing that Jacob is a player and he always uses a girl and leaves her. " Do you know that Jacob is a player and only dates a girl for her hymen, he is only interested in your body"  nico said with a furious tone, I knew why he was angry.  I can't like her she is my best friend.

You like her.

Ugh again this stupid voice came from somewhere. It needs to stop.

Then soon after we left for our home. And during the whole drive there was a awkward silence between us. Nico was busy on her phone and Danny always looked out of the window admiring the view she always does that when she is very happy. Yeah she was very happy going out with Jacob.

Danny's p.o.v

So I was getting ready for my date with Jacob and rhea helping me find my outfit , she is my helper every time with outfits . It feels really weird that since this conversation  Jace has not spoken to me not even during the drive to home. I can see fury and wrath in his eyes .he is jealous. Shut up mind. " I think this dress is perfect, this will really suit you " rhea said and I nodded , she noticed me behaving weird " what happen Dan why are you behaving so weird you should be  happy about your date but I can see only loneliness in your eyes, is everyhing fine? " she asked me with confusion in her eyes. " I was thinking about Jace he has been acting weird  since I have told him about this date he hasn't spoken to me and he has not even called me. " I say and she nodded "I don't know what's up with Jace but may be he is upset about anything , I think you should figure it out after your date . But now get ready.

I was ready wearing a beautiful dress with light makeup and hair in loose curls I wasn't able to recognize my self rhea was just so good at it. I decided to dress simple yet elegant and this was the perfect dress.



Danny's outfit .

I went downstairs and found nico staring at me with a jaw dropping face , "hey why are you staring at me? " I asked " no, no you just look really beautiful today" he said " Aww my brother is giving me compliment today, how cute" I said. Then the door opened and I saw Jace with same jaw dropping face, God why happened to them I have dressed normal. " wow Dan you look beautiful today" Jace said and I blushed. Wait why am I blushing?. Nothing its the hormones ,I am a hormonal teen.

After complementing me Jace sat on the couch with nico and started watching a movie. I know they just want to stay up until I get back. And rhea also joined them.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and nico and Jace both rushed to open the door. "hey is Danny ready? " Jacob asked, wow he looks awesome. "no Dan is not home,bye" Nico was almost shutting the door when I came out. "hey Danny you look beautiful " I blushed from that compliment. He walked me to car door and opened it for me. And nico and Jace both were giving Jacob death glares. Idiots. First time my mind said right.

The drive was silent until " wow Danny you are looking really gorgeous today" I smiled. "Well you too look good." I said and he smiled. Gradually we drove to a restaurant it was a not really fancy one ,that was happy part I didn't wanted him to take me to a fancy restaurant.

He gave his hand which I happily accepted. We started eating, " wow Danny I thought  you were a type of girl who would only eat salad". I chuckled "well I am not that type of girl who will only eat salad  ,I am a big foodie "

We had dinner there was nothing special expect for lame jokes and then left for house, the car stopped in front of my house " I really enjoyed the date thank you so much for an amazing night " I said and he opened the car door for me and walked me till door of the house. He was just about to make a move when the door opened and nico gave Jacob a death glare. This guy is the biggest jerk. "oh hey Nico nice to meet you, see you soon man " he said and walked to his car and waved me off. "hey Dan how was your date?" nic asked " everything was very good we had a nice dinner he is a nice guy but just one thing that is really annoying about him" I said. "what? " he asked confused. "he has a really bad sense of humor ,he tells me really lame jokes" I said , "can you tell me one?" nico asked me giving a playful smile. idiot. "you serious ?" I asked him in irritation ."please Dan."

He said. "OK fine, 'so why are maths book always sad? ' " I asked. He was confused. " because they are filled with problems " we both laughed really loudly when Jace entered the scene really confused from our laughing

So after lots of laughing we went inside the house, Jace has still not spoken to me. Rhea had left home so I decided to tell her the details tomorrow. I changed into a comfy unicorn dress.

I went downstairs and found nico and Jace watching a movie Nico saw me and laughed. What an idiot. " what, why are you laughing at me. " I said.

"Nothing, I wonder you still kept that outfit " he said. I took a look at my outfit and spoke" how could I not,  I remember you both had gifted me this outfit two years ago on my birthday." they both smiled at each other. I said in between of Nico and Jace.

"so what are we watching " I asked.

"how about some horror movies? " Nico spoke. "noooooo. You guys know I am not good with horror movies, I'll get nightmares ". They both just chuckled and put on the horror movie.

During the whole movie I would hide my face in nico's T-shirt and he would just laugh. I normally enjoyed their company but today something was off, Jace didn't spoke to me while whole movie. I was feeling really sleepy so I headed to my room.
