"My lady"

" my lady", someone tapped on My shoulder while calling out .I open my eyes and my new maid was looming over me she seemed worried .

"we are here", she said.

I fell asleep on our way I did not even know when we got hear. my handmaid helped me out of the carriage. Behold a very beautiful Castle bigger than ours. the palace was decorated with beautiful flowers. beside where I stood was the Statue of a man that held a raven on his one hand and a staff on the other.

The statue was made of gold, it told the tale of how wealthy the Ravia Kingdom is. the palace was beautiful .

My husband was discussing with a few of his men with his hands crossed behind him his long hair fell just below his waist I couldn't see his face cuz he was facing the other way he finished speaking with his men and they bowed and left finally he turned around, but I look down immediately .He signalled for his men to lead the way . He turned and left. that wasn't the way I imagined it, I imagined he would walk up to me, hold my hand, and lead me to his room .with his men leading the way ,we got to a door and they stopped .

"welcome to Ravia ,my lady." they said in a unison before they bowed and left . my handmade open the door and I entered .

"this room belongs to his highness my lady ,please feel comfortable ".she said as we entered

feel comfortable?

there was nothing comforting in this room. not the wall that was painted black .not the object and furnitures that were either white or black. he must indeed have a black heart .

"what is your name ?"I asked once I sat down on the bed . curiosity was getting the better of me.

" my name is Lisa my lady and I'm your new maid "

"Lisa you have a very nice name". I complimented her, I didn't want things to be awkward between us .

"my name is Hazel,please don't address me as my lady ,call me Hazel " I reached for my veil,to open it so she can see how I look.

" no no no no no my lady ,only his highness can open the veil. He said he should be the first one to see how you look " .I insisted she saw it earlier but she was persistent .

"his highness will kill me if anything goes wrong " .when I heard this I stopped insisting.

" what ?he even kills people in his Palace? " I happened to think outward and Lisa heard me .

"his highness has a very low tolerance of dishonesty and disloyalty, he has a bad temper ,when it comes to handling disloyal people and betrayal he won't think twice before his snapsv off my head, and he even....." ,Lisa stopped abruptly when she realised what she said. fear was the only expression on her face. "My Lady you misheard his Highness is a really kind man" . it was obviously she was lying a part of me was hoping he's a good man even after I saw him kill those men in Cold blood .

He's really a monster isn't he? Lisa looked at me , with a very weak eyes ,an expression that seems like pity ,Lisa did not say another word, she just excused herself and left the room . that was when it dawned on me that the man I married .the man that am married to is a monster . still a part of me wished he wasn't.

The more I waited for my husband,the more the speed of my racing heart increased. I placed my hand on my lap ,and continuously rubbed it together nervously. I let out a heavy sigh . I felt sleepy . Soon it felt like a heavy bag was placed on my eyelid. I tried to fight sleep off my eyes, but I failed. I later agreed that l will just take a nap and wake up before my husband gets back.

Yes , just a little nap.

The bed is soft and cozy. I suddenly felt very cold . I was shivering. A very warm fabric came from nowhere and covered me, I curled my self up and hid under it .

I'll just sleep a little more....

Levi looked at the woman he was married to one more time .she was either brave or very foolish ,a newlywed slept off before her husband returned .she was curled up like a little baby and appeared to be very comfortable. he returned a while ago and found her sleeping, normally he will get angry or lose his temper if something like this happend,but earlier when he came in and saw her sleeping, he couldn't help but smile. Her veil only covered half of her face and her hair cover the rest .Levi gently picked the hair that covered her face and tulked it behind her hair. He remember the first time he saw her crying beside her window, he wanted nothing but wipe it. he thought it was weird because he has never met her before. when his father proposed marriage, he wasn't hesitant to accept the proposal .today when he held her hand he felt warmth spread through his body ,something he hasn't felt for years. During the wedding ceremony, when he saw a teardrop on her hand, it's left a crack in his dark Heart.

He was aware of the rumours going on about him he would understand that she did not want to be married to him.

Hazel starred in her sleep,her eyelashes moved and so did the corner of her lips. A cold wind blew on Levi's face, only then did he notice that the weather is cold .he went to his closet got a warm blanket and used it to cover her . She grabbed the blanket and curled up in it.

The bright light from the sun fell on her face which forced her to open her eyes .she breathed in a sweet scent ,and yawned loudly. she didn't notice her environment. she got up and streched .she only stretched up to half way ,when she saw a male figure in front of her. Her eyes widened and she froze with her hands mid-air. Levi wanted to laugh at how funny she looked right then.

"Good morning wife". Levi spoke with a very masculine voice. he stood with his hands crossed behind him, his face showed no emotion so Hazel could not tell if he was hungry or not.

Hazel who was still recovering from shock, slowly dropped her hand and swung her leg down the bed .she runs where he stood and bowed on her knee .

"I am so sorry your Highness I didn't mean to sleep last night, I am so sorry". She closed her eyes tightly counting down time left to expect a slap, a severe beating ,or anything that could be her punishment for sleeping last night. Last night was their wedding night ,the day their marriage was supposed to be consumated .

what is going to happen to her now? seconds has passed and yet no slap .she opened one eyes and then another. she slowly raised her head and found a pair of dazzling ocean blue eyes, staring back at her .

"How was your sleep "he asked as if nothing happened.it made her more scared.

" my sleep was nice your Highness and yours ?"

" my sleep was not nice at all ,you kept on snoring and I couldn't sleep ".he continued speaking with a calm voice.

" I am so sorry your Highness, I didn't know my snore is that bad". hazel apologized,

" I never said it was bad" now his voice for some reason pulled a string in Hazel.

He continued" get up and get dressed ",he turned and left.

When he left Hazel got up immediately and placed her hand on her chest. her heart was still beating very fast .she sat down on the bed. what just happened? he didn't punish her ?his voice was cold yet calm . Hazel's mind was displaced. why didn't he punish her ?was he planning on giving her a much bigger punishment? did he sleep here ? down her body but she still looked untouched. He could have just claimed her in her sleep ,if he wanted to .

shortly Lisa came in ,"good morning my lady ,how was your night?" she greeted ,with a bright smile on her face .Lisa's smile was enough to brighten Hazel's morning. she's still very beautiful in the morning. Hazel wondered what a beautiful girl like Lisa is still doing as a maid .the king should have made her one of his concubines by now.

" good morning Lisa ," Lisa's eyes wondered the room for a moment .

"what is it ?"Hazel asked .

"what about his highness my lady"

" he left early this morning "

Lisa helped her to take her bath .she was still styling her hair when the door opened and Levi walked into the room . Hazel noticed that immediately he came in Lisa's hand started trembling. he sat on the bed with crossed leg .he's reading a news book . Hazel stared at him through the reflection in the mirror .how can a man be this beautiful. With his perfectly shaped masculine face, and his deep ocean blue eyes,his high bridge nose and his perfect lips .his silky thick black hair was tied upwards and fell down his shoulders. if only he was as nice as he looked . Levi suddenly looked up, which startled her ,so she tried to look away but she couldn't. She met his gaze . he had a deadly look in his ocean blue eyes ,and it's made Hazel's heart skip a beat.

Lisa felt the tension between them and became scared .as she was about to put on make up, levi closed his book and stood up. Fear made Lisa drop the brush . with levi in the room , Hazel and Lisa were scared of making the slightest mistake. When Lisa dropped the brush, fear made her forget how to breathe.

" I am sorry my lady, I'll pick it up " .

Levi walked towards them. Hazel closed her eyes thinking he wanted to hit Lisa, and unexpected things happend. Levi's strong hand grabbed her by the wrist .

"let's go" Levi said.

" your Highness I haven't applied any makeup on her face yet", Lisa tried to stop him.

" no need", he said coldly.

Where is he taking her to? what is he doing? Hazel thought .as they stepped out maids and guards stared at them .not many people knew about their marriage and they were surprised because his highness has never been seen with a lady , holding hands. He dragged her through the hallway and another hallway ,when they got to a door, he stopped, and turned to her . on their way she wanted to ask where they were going to, but her mum had warned her to never ask question.

They walked into a very large room .a long table was kept in the middle and about five people sat around it. Three chairs were still empty. immediately they walked in, every one's gaze fell on her. Levi held her hand tightly .she walked with her head high . she knew they were looking at her cuz she felt they gave .

"It seems your wife made you late or maybe you did not sleep at all last night". the king spoke as he stared at their hand that was tightly entwined together . He is Levi's father Hazel knew that. Levi walks towards the empty chairs as he spoke," I am very much on time father" he said as he looked at the clock .He bowed elegantly to greet his parents and Hazel joined .

He pulled out a chair for ,she sat down without thinking, then he sat beside her . "maybe we came here too early son but we only deed to wait for your beautiful bride". Mona Levi's mother spoke.

" young woman what's your name", the king asked .before she could open her mouth to say her name ,Levi said it.

"Hazel ".

Hazel's jaw dropped . He knew her name? how? when? why? why would he know her name? and yet she doesn't know his name.

" I see you got to know each other better ".

"yes father turns out we have a lot in common, we are the present and a long conversation last night".

He was lying.
