"6 months 14 hours and 8 minutes."

"Is it really necessary to strap her down like this?"

I furrowed my brows with my eyes shut. Who's talking so loud?

"Why are you getting angry at me? It wasn't my idea."

I slowly started opening my eyes but closed them again. What's with this stupid bright light? I groaned and the two persons that were in the room stopped arguing. I tried moving my arms but they wouldn't move.

I eventually opened my eyes and saw two blurred figures. One of them ran to the door, "I'll go get the doctor." The other came closer to me and spoke in a soft voice, "How are you feeling?" I blinked a few times and my vision slowly started to clear up.

It was Hayley.

I smiled at her, "I feel like I've been hit by a bus and run over by two trains." She chuckled, "I guess you're fine then." I could hardly move on the bed, I was completely strapped down. The only thing I could move freely was my eyes and my mouth.

I wasn't really upset about it, I went all crazy and hurt a lot of people. I'd strap myself down too but that doesn't mean it wasn't ridiculously uncomfortable. "Who was in here with you just now?"

"Oh, it was Dylan."

I furrowed my brows, "Where's Sebastian?"

Hayley shrugged, "He said he was going to buy a hamburger and sprite. He's a vegetarian so I guess they're for you." I looked at her in horror, "He's a vegetarian? How can he survive without the wonderful taste of fried chicken?"

Hayley chuckled, "For someone who just lost a lot of blood you're certainly full of spirit." I giggled, "They probably gave me a little nitrous oxide." Hayley rose a brow, "Laughing gas?"

The euphoric feeling caused by the laughing gas slowly dissipated and the pain started to rush in. Hayley saw my change in mood and worriedly looked at me, "Are you feeling pain now?"

"Yea, kind of."

She held my hand, "Dylan will be back with the doctor soon. Just hang in there for now."

I looked around me, other than being strapped to the bed by huge leather straps, multiple tubes were connected to my body and my right arm was thickly bandaged. "What did they do to me?"

Hayley shrugged, "To be honest, I don't know. When I got here the procedure was already finished and you were sleeping. You can ask Dr. Henderson when she gets here." The guilt rushed in at the mentioning of her name. How am I supposed to face her after what I did to her and those two nurses?

I was kind of hoping I would get a different doctor.

"How long have I been sleeping?" She checked her pink Samsung phone, "Let's see, today makes it 6 months 14 hours and 8 minutes."

My eyes widened, "What?"

Hayley burst out in laughter and almost fell from her chair. She spoke through her laughter, "I'm kidding. I can't believe you fell for that." I rolled my eyes, "Haha, very funny Hayley." She wiped an invisible tear from her blue eyes, "You've only been sleeping for little over an hour." I breathed a sigh of relief.

It'd be cool though if I woke up like a hundred years later in a technologically advanced world. Naturally I'd still be young and beautiful, my body would be preserved in a capsule thing like in those Sci-fi movies.

I'd wake up and meet a handsome man. I'd ask him how long I've been sleeping and he'd tell me in a low, masculine voice that I've been sleeping for a century. He'd caress my face and tell me-

My fantasy was interrupted by two beautifully manicured fingers snapping in my face, "You've been smiling like a weirdo and staring into the ceiling for the past few minutes. Are you sure your okay?" I chuckled, "Yea, I'm fine."

The door opened and Dylan walked in with Dr. Henderson close behind. Her nose was bandaged and it made her beautiful face look slightly swollen. I tried not to meet her eyes as she walked towards me.

She skipped through a file in her hand as she checked the machine I was connected to, "Ok Miss Martinez, majority of your red blood cells have been restored and the organs that were affected by the toxins are gradually recovering. All seems well."

She removed the tubes from my body and covered where they entered my skin with a band-aid. "I'm sorry for attacking you earlier." She smiled, "It's okay, we deal with crazy patients all the time.

"I'm not crazy."

She disregarded what I said and continued, "I'll have a psychiatrist come to your room later this evening."

Dylan walked up to her, "Can't you take the leather straps off now?" She shook her head, "I'm sorry but we have to maintain the safety of the staff as well as the other patients."

She's talking as if I'm a serial killer. It's not like I'm going to run wild killing everyone in the hospital the minute they free me. Dylan furrowed his eyebrows, "What? Look at her, she's harmless."

Dr. Henderson hmphed, "That harmless girl you are referring to broke my nose and critically injured two of our best nurses." With that she left and I was left with a very shocked Hayley and Dylan.

Hayley looked at me in disbelief, "You broke her nose?" I sighed, "It was an accident." Dylan chuckled, "How do you accidentally break someone's nose?" Hayley elbowed him in his side and he winced, "What was that for?"

"Stop being so insensitive, she obviously feels bad about it. If she said it was an accident, it was an accident." With that, Hayley started pulling on the straps. Dylan stared at her, "What are you doing?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm getting these stupid things off her. Now stop asking stupid questions and help me." Dylan rolled his eyes and started pulling on the straps too.

The bed moved as they pulled hard on the straps. "I don't think they'll come off that easy." Dylan scratched his head of messy black hair, "We need a knife or something sharp."

Hayley reached under her straight, blue jeans dress and pulled out a small knife. Dylan's eyes and mine almost fell from their sockets.

The both of us spoke in unison, "Why do you have that under your clothes?"
