Lilo

It rained so heavily and she kept asking herself why she left under the rain, there was no harm in waiting after all,stupid girl she scolded herself, her light brown eyes scanning every now and then.

The last time she tried something like this, she caught a cold and had to stay in bed for a month, 'no no... how could I forget' she said wanting to cry.

She hated the feeling of staying in bed and doing nothing. Gosh so stupid, she kept scolding herself for the mess she got into.

She kept walking on the lonely road with her bag against her back looking for a shade at least.

Lilo who had travelled for almost four hours now, just realized she was in the wrong place.

She was devastated and kept looking at the bus intently, she was very sure she saw Devalon on the bus before she got in or her eyes tricked her, she thought to herself. 'If Daniel finds out I didn't go to the actual destination, i will definitely resign without being told', she cried.

Lilo is a well know photographer, it is something she loves so much,she works in one of the best and biggest fashion company in the country ,the Matrix Gallery.

Daniel jr Wilfred a dangerously handsome man, is the rich CEO of the company, although the duo are close, Lilo wouldn't want to take advantage of that. They have been friends since elementary and they have been doing great, "some people even say they shared the brother and sister bond".

Lilo manages the graphics department. But in as much as she wants to stay in as the manager she also wants to be out there, taking good pictures, of course she takes the best pictures of all time. She gets projects from other fashion companies and she does a great job. Daniel lets Lilo go out for projects in different states and countries, for their company.

She was sent to Devalon for a project and now she's stuck in this unknown place.

'But sir I'm very certain of what I'm telling you, i am very sure that i checked the name on the bus before i got in and pen-- Penc-i?ahh! she sighed, Penciway or whatever wasn't there", she said trying to reason with the driver.

'I'm sorry miss, but there's nothing i can do now'.

'I know what you will do!' she said.

'And what is that?' he asked

"Help me! that's what you will do, take me back!" she said looking at him with distaste.

"Uh? if I could, we wouldn't still be here arguing about something that was your fault, besides the bus has broken down, it will take some time to fix it".

"How rude of you to say all this was my fault ugh!", Of course it was her fault and maybe she was blind she thought to herself.

"I'm sorry miss but I didn't mean it like that.. I came here because you asked me to..

No i didn't. I don't even know this place, she exclaimed. We were supposed to go to Devalon not this strange place.

Have been hitting on the road for a long time and not once have I taken anyone to a wrong destination".

"So you're saying that I was blind?" bringing her thoughts to reality she said, and I'm the only crazy person who is giving you problems now, right?",she added giving him a questionable look that was mixed with anger.

'Not at all miss, don't misunderstand me' he said with a pleading look, I'm very sorry' he added... "all i was saying was that people don't come to this kind of places, and if they did, it was only explorers but they were few", he said with a whisper "and you don't look like one", he added.

"Why would you say that?"she asked

'Obviously because you are a woman', he said grumpily.

"Wait I can't be an explorer because I'm a woman?"

"Exactly!" he answered

'That's totally absurd'...she scoffed. 'And who made the theory that women can't be explorers', she said, look Mr...? whatever you call yourself.

"Derek" he answered.

"Yes Derek, I can be whatever I want to.. i mean, she scoffed, just as you've decided to be a driver for the rest of your life, your ideology is pretty lame", she chuckled.

Glaring at her, he ignored her and continued, '

it is just rather rare for things like this to happen', he paused, bitting his thumb nail, trying to remember something, she looked at him and thought to herself

"Of course he thinks I'm stupid and crazy to have entered the wrong bus, of course I am, how could i not know which bus was which? if not why is he bitting his thumb nail? looking at me as if I am crazy..." she thought to herself.

She turned trying to walk away but then she asked curiously.

Derek how did you know this place?

I didn't know this place, he responded

"You didn't know this place", she scoffed. You brought me to a place you don't know and you kept me stranded in the middle of nowhere and you want me to believe that?

Seriously i don't know how i got here either. I remember you asking me to drive and then i drove to here, he exhaled.

Lilo laughed so hard, I'm still trying the to process the fact that "you've been hitting on the road for a long time and.." tell me about that again, she said with a frown.

Calm down Ms.

How can i be when you're obviously a kidnaper, she blurted.

What!

Yes I'm sure you've had it all set up, she paced back and forth. But i have a lot of money just name it and it's yours.

You condescending.. I'm a noble man and i have no intentions of kidnapping anyone.

That's what every bad person says, she cried. Please i know I've been so annoying, you just have to let me go and i promise i won't tell anyone.

What is wrong with you? I'm not a kidnaper!

Then what am i doing here? She questioned.

I don't know! I don't know how i got here okay?

Oh gosh! I can't i can't.. she exhaled

Just calm down, let me think

What possible thought will take us out of here?

Lilo felt like drowning in a pool of water. She wish it was one of her haunting nightmares, she would be grateful if it was.. she glanced back at Derek who was biting his thumb. His way of thinking?so stupid, She scoffed.

After a few passing minutes, Lilo became impatient.

How long do you have to think for? My service is getting weaker. I need to get a bar to make a call so you better think fast before i return.

'Wait! there was one traveller'. "I remember, it was a long time ago, i was much younger then".

So you agree you will be a driver for life, she said teasingly.

"i didn't say that, he said with a frown on his forehead. We're trying to find a way out, aren't we?

Oh i thought you did, my bad, she said with a grin.

"It was a man.." he paused again.

And? Lilo asked , with the not interested face.

Please let me finish young lady, he sighed.

'Fine go on', she said raising her hands in a gesture.

"A very tall, he said raising his hand above his head and handsome man", UM... trying to remember the man's face, he started bitting his thumb nail again and then he said

"Yes yes, he had um a dimple on his left cheek, light brown eyes, thick eyebrows, long brown hair, pointed nose, full lips and a well defined cheek bone". He had the features of those fiction males in books.

That's a lot to describe a man, she teased

This is a serious situation.

Lilo also has some of her father's charming looks, brown hair, although her hair was short compared to his own, full lip, charming brown eyes, except her dimple were on both side of her cheek. Lilo intently looked at the man as he described the man he had met years ago, he could be anyone but Lilo knew her father too well.

...and he had a small mole just above his uppers lips on his left cheek, the man said, 'he was indeed a handsome man' he added

"A traveller?"she asked

"Yes yes a traveller", he answered

Lilo's thought drifted to her father, this man was describing her father.

"You said he had a dimple and a mole on the left side on his cheek?" she asked confused

'Yes Ms, are you okay?'

'Yeah i-i'm okay', she said feeling dizzy.

"Lilo was more concerned about the mole and the dimple, it was her father's beauty spots and it was very rare for people to have a mole and a dimple on the same side of the face and they were just highlights on his face".

..But that was not all, he had come here three years after he died. That's if he died.. but he did die? or maybe he never died, or was it just his fragment, Lilo pondered.

Looking toward the forest she looked at the tall trees, 'They are beautiful trees' she said, taking pictures of them.

"Indeed they are strangely" Derek said pausing and then continued fixing the bus.
