Liberated.

In a snowy night a lone male can be seen outside leaning against a wall he smokes the last puff of his cigarette.

"Sigh... its already past midnight yet another day has past, time to head home." Karl said as he flicks off what remains of his ciggarette. As he is driving home from work, he accelerates thinking he can beat the red light to get home early but as his car begin to pick up speed he sees a ball bouncing across the street in front of him followed by a young girl chasing after it.

"ARLA STOP! NOO!"

As Karl jams down the brakes and swerves right trying to avoid the young girl, however although he successfully miss the young girl, an incoming truck was heading straight to where Karl's car is heading.

*BAM*

The truck collides with Karl's car and sends it spinning out of control, it crashes into a pole while surroundings filled up with screams, crying and sirens.

As Karl sits there he doesnt feel pain nor fear even when he is aware that his death is imminent. His life flashes past him in his final moments, Karl was an average guy through and through. He grew up in a normal family and had average grades which resulted in his not-so-impressive pay but yet is enough to get by. He loves reading novels and his favourite are reincarnation ones as he dreams abt being in the shoes of the MC.When he is not, he lives his mundane life bound by restrictions set by society, while he loves to travel the world he has responsibilities back at home that he cannot neglect. Due to his average pay he has to save a lot before he can indulge in his desires of travelling. They say love adds colours to ones life well it explains alot as Karl has been single his whole life, lacking confidence due to his average (maybe below average)self, he was never really a ladies man.

"Sigh.." Karl lets out a sigh as he thinks abt his life and says in a self depricating manner, "If there is a god or a higher being up there somewhere..heh..i promise i would live my next life by my own rules and be free. It would be the most exciting life ever and entertaining for you to watch as well so please give me another shot... let me... live.. life unbound." As Karl finishes his statement his eyelids grew heavier and he lost concious forever.

After what seems like an instance, Karl regains consciousness in a void surrounded by darkness. "Huh didnt i die? Where am i?" Karl looks around as he questions. "Wait where are my arms.. my legs.. where is me?" he looks at himself and sees nothing but the void. "HELLO IS ANYONE THERE?" Karl shouts but the eerie silence of the void is his only reply.

After what felt like an eternity staring at the void, a white light shines strongly at Karl and slowly takes the shape of a bald old man with a white beard. "Greetings young man, sorry for the wait i had some errands to run because of what im about to do." said the old man.

"Er Hello... who are u and what are u going to do to me?" Karl asks as he tries to back away but to no avail.

"Fear not young one i heard ur request and i have to say ur proposal does sound interesting. I'll grant ur wish in exchange for a good show i will let u reincarnate into a world of ur choosing along with 3 wishes." replied the old man.

"Wow HAH it worked haven't really thought abt it this far... sir may i have some time to think?" Karl asked

"Go ahead and take your time call for me when u are done." said the old man as he leaves the void making it return to its familiar darkness.

After spending sometime to think Karl calls for the old man and says he is ready then proceeds to state his wishes as follows.

"Sir i would like to be reincarnated into the One Piece world and be at the same generation as Ace.

My first wish would be to be to have [Appraisal] so i can view the status of myself and others as well.

My second wish would be [Quick Growth] which will let me learn and master skills faster.

My last wish would be to have a growth type weapon that can grow alongside me... more specifically a sword."

The old man takes a moment to think about the choices Karl made and nods while saying,

"I can make you the same age as Ace in One Piece

For your first wish i can give u that as well but for your second wish i can only make you have talent in certain aspects like sword arts etc. Which will make u learn and master them faster but not ridiculously fast as hardwork important as well. Thus i will let you choose 3 talents.

As for your last wish i can grant it. Are you okay with that?"

Karl ponders for a moment before replying,

"Yes i am sure. For the three talents i choose Haki, Sword Arts, Combat Instincts."

The old man frowns for abit and asks,

"Are you sure? You don't want a system or something?"

Karl shakes his head and states,

"Nope i already said i will live my life unbound why would i want to be restricted by a system with its quest and stuff. I will live my very own exciting life by myself and with my hands!"

The old man laughs," HAHAHAHAHA... what an interesting guy, i like you alright then i will give u another wish go ahead child."

Karl replies after thinking,"Okay then i want to be able to eat 2 devil fruits."

The oldman rubs his chin and says,"Hmm thats a little difficult but doable... anything more than 2 would be impossible child. Alright ur wishes have been granted now show me what u are capable of... be lawless and cruel or be fueled with justice and righteousness.. it's up to you from this point on u walk ur own path yet again i wish you all the best and put on a good show!" After the oldman said his piece, he swung his hands outwards and Karl starts to decend where his new life awaits.

"WHAT THE HECK.. AHHHHHHHHHH"
