Journey to Lagos

School is a place where students or pupils are taught how to read and write but there are many facts about school that people do not take important. These facts got a lot of students or pupils attention and they easily lose focus on their studies.

Juliet has grownup with the thought of schooling in Lagos due to the interesting facts she heard about schools in Lagos. She told her parents that she will like to stay with her grandmother and enjoy life in Lagos. Her parent didn't give her the permission easily but due to Juliet's persistent, she was allowed to stay with her grandmother till she finishes her college. Juliet who is filled with great excitement after she has gotten the permission, ran into her room and kicked her shoes with great force. The shoe went straight to her dressing mirror and broke it. She lingered a bit because she cherished the mirror a lot that she cleans it every morning.

After a few moments, she forgot about the broken mirror because of her excitement of going to Lagos. The date has been announced to her by her parents but due to her excitement, she began to pack her luggages a week to the announced date.

It is normal for a child to cry when living his or her parents to a far distanced place but for Juliet, she was smiling and full of happiness. She left for Lagos with her younger brother.

On getting to Lagos, Juliet was still not settled, all she wanted was to be in a school in Lagos. The first question she asked her grandmother was when will I resume to school. Can you rest a week? asked her grandmother. No, I can't. I want to resume to school in the next two days, Juliet replied.

Juliet's younger brother who is already carried away with the food he was served jokingly said, are you in haste to meet your new boyfriend? Juliet in anger threw her right shoe at him but he dodged it as it went straight away to her grandmother's head. Who did that? she shouted. As Juliet's younger brother opens his mouth to reply, Juliet covered it with a spoon of rice. Juliet immediately faked a visit to the toilet because her father already told her how strict his grandmother is, so she has to avoid been punished.

Juliet could not rest a day, all she wants is to be in school. She eat less and feel extremely anxious that she couldn't sleep all through the night preceding her resumption to school.
