Resumen

Adara, the princess of the kingdom of Shrughna was forced to live a life of a commoner after her parents were killed in a coup and her younger sister Aditi went missing. Brought up by General Shera, her father's most trusted companion she locked away the trauma of her childhood deep inside her heart and trained to be a talented aura. After a heartbreaking betrayal from the person, she loved, Adara grew bitter towards the concept of love until she met the free-spirited philanderer Yi Yun, an aura from the neighboring kingdom of Tianxia and soulmate/confidante Yeo Jin-ho from the kingdom of Yeoson not knowing that the three were destined to be the part of a thousand-year-old prophesy about the evil dark force of the Darkveil, an entity without physical form born out of human evilness. According to the legends, only the power of the Golden Lotus can defeat it and drive it back into the darkness, which is protected by a group of spiritual monks and rishi warriors. And the power of the Golden Lotus can be activated by the three chosen ones, born with distinct birthmarks. So, when Adara, Yi Yun, and Yeo Jin-ho discovered the meaning of their unusual birthmarks they knew they have to face the consequences, destiny had already set for them.

Short thoughts that were but weren't

Short things, thoughts that came into form then furthered themselves into being. Ideas which can be developed but which likely will not. This is just a collection of ideas or stories I came up with and started writting with little thought, some may be philosophical in nature, others might not. Some are short stories, some are stories formated in the way I thought at the moment of writting and as such might have dark subject matters due to me having experienced the death of those close to me. Only dark in a depression sense Have fun, and watch out. Nothing is merry and fun here, please don't read these if you feel a bit down. These were written by me either recently or years ago and what was written might have been how I felt at the moment of writting. Warning : it may contain ideas or thoughts of self hate so if you find those kinds of things hard to read then please don't read em. Btw I have no clue how things work on webnovel, I just want to put these things out there because why not. Have fun reading or not (Most if not all of these are written some years ago) I might add stories I began but didn't know where to go with or stories I got Ideas for but didn't find the motivation to finish. Some stories are half done, but the idea of what it would become were also written at the end by me at the time when I thought I didn't have the motivation to continue with the story so I wrote that in order to remember in case I ever wanted to finish the stories.

Developing countries

Today’s low-income countries spend more than twice on average than today’s advanced economies spent more than a century ago (Figure 1). To be sure, this difference reflects the lack of the tax instruments and systems we have today. From 1850 until the early 1900s, customs duties and excises provided the bulk of government revenues, while the personal income tax and VAT were not introduced in countries until later. Moreover, society’s expectations from the government were much different then. In 1900, for example, spending on unemployment, health, pensions, and housing amounted to only 1.1 percent of GDP in the Scandinavian countries on average and to 0.7 percent of GDP in the U.S. Even with low level of government spending, economic development was brisk in most of the Advanced 14 at the turn of the 20th century, with infrastructure improvements financed by private capital and the strong expansion of primary and secondary education. And here lies the lesson for today’s developing economies: While working on strengthening domestic taxation and raising more revenues to finance public goods, the priority needs to be on improving the business environment to attract private capital—mobilizing private finance for development. Figure 1. Governments of today’s low-income countries spent more on average in 2018 than today’s advanced economies did in 1900 (in percent of GDP) Governments of today’s low-income countries spent more on average in 2018 than today’s advanced economies did in 1900 Source: IMF Prudence and Profligacy Database, IMF Fiscal Monitor 2018, World Bank WDI, and authors’ estimates. Note: LIC = low-income countries; SSA = Sub-Saharan Africa; A14 = the average of the Advanced 14 in the figure. GDP per capita of the Advanced 14 in our sample averaged $2,722 in today’s prices during the last decade of the 19th century; In 2016, per capita GDP in sub-Saharan Africa averaged $2,757.Government spending in the Advanced 14 increased substantially since 1960 as they reevaluated the role of government amid rapid industrialization and globalization and new taxes became commonplace (Figure 2). The shift from agrarian to industrial to post-industrial economies required different worker skills. Economic disruptions reshaped governments in the past, as is happening now with the changing world of work, leading to a large expansion of social insurance and protection spending.Government spending among the advanced economies has increased, but so has its variability. Before 1913, spending among the advanced economies ranged from less than 2 percent of GDP in Japan to 13 percent in Italy, or a span of 11 percentage points. Today, the span of spending among the advanced economies is 39 percentage points: from 17.3 percent in Hong Kong to 56.4 percent in France. Development paradigms vary among today’s advanced and developing countries. Robust growth can happen with a smaller or a larger government, in general. Too large of a redistribution, however, may create substantial disincentives to work and invest, or lead to tensions between formal and informal workers, employees of large companies or state-owned enterprises and small private firms. This danger now is clearer than ever: The changing world of work is clashing with persistent informality in developing countries and social protection systems that cover only part of the population.must for today’s developing countries, especially for those with abundant natural resources. However, there is overwhelming evidence that fiscal policy has been consistently pro-cyclical in developing countries, resulting in profound macroeconomic imbalances, unproductive debt build-ups, and ongoing instability.any of today’s poorest countries do not collect adequate revenues to build the human capital, infrastructure, and institutions needed for stronger growth and faster poverty reduction. In sub-Saharan Africa, for example, 15 of the 45 countries have revenues lower than 15 percent of

Treasure Hunting Through the Multiverse

A boy gets reincarnated into a cultivation world and lives his life peacefully after becoming the strongest. Just when life was good, a huge humanoid black fog thing attacks the world and he had to sacrifice himself to defeat it. Only when he was getting ready to go to either hell or heaven, a system merges with his soul, informing him that the creature didn't die and come again, to attack the world and his loved ones. So, he goes to another world, with a system, to stop that creature from harming his loved ones. All he has is a system which gives him rewards when he opens treasure chests. I changed both the cover and the title as I thought the previous ones weren't that good. The new ones are also not great though. Points to remember while reading: 1.The cover has Nie Li from TDG on it. That means my MC looks exactly like the Nie Li from TDG. 2.I did write harem, but I will make sure it doesn't become similar to the pokemon game and be more like the pokemon show, where Ash bonds with the pokemon and makes the pokemon join willingly. 3.This is going to be a multiverse fan-fic and he is going to many other worlds. 4.A close person of the MC will die. Most probably, there will be no more deaths, well at least till the story in my head. Many readers didn't like it, so I am giving a heads up to the new ones. 4.I am not writing a story for an English textbook. There will be errors and grammatical mistakes. Please bear with me and if considerate, you can correct them and I will make changes. 5.I am writing this, only to feel better and deviate my. mind from studies so, don't expect steady updates. 6.And lastly, I don't own anything except the MC. So, if I use something which the owner is not comfortable with, let me. know. somehow and I will remove it.
