18. Long Taidu [ I ]

as Long Taidu see a black eagle fly above them he resolved himself to get ready for anything that the battlefield will give them

"Taidu... be safe" said Lingxu his face shows no emotion but Taidu saw his brother eyes which are filled with worries

"I thought you will cram me with a bunch of strategy which I need to memorize in less than an hour before my derpature" said Taidu smiling at his brother

"Taidu... I'm serious, Be safe brother" now Lingxu saying it clearly shows his worries towards his brother who will go to war without him being there beside him

"Yeah, I know I will return with victory" said Taidu at which Lingxu only nod and release his brother arms

'I will return as your equal after this, so that you will not carry that burden alone forever' Taidu thought gripping his brother sword in his waist

before their derpature Taidu asked Lingxu so that he can use his sword saying that his sword is chipped and need to be fixed

with that reason Lingxu nod and let his brother use his sword for this battlefield even after knowing his brother lies

after traveling for a whole day, the army of 10k man led by Taidu finally arrive at Ouki camp at which earn the surprise of Ouki thinking that the young lizard pushes himself to force himself to fight in this battle

at much of his surprise, what he see is not the usual genius of Long but his little brother who has been overshadowed by the talent that the older Long have

"nfufufu the little Lizard really did not want to back down from any battle they might stumble huh Tou" said Ouki towards Tou by his side

"It is as you say my Lord, these generation of Long is exactly like General Heifu" Tou said remembering the day he serve under the late General Long Heifu, Lingxu and Taidu Grandfather

after reporting to Ouki as the General in command the Heilong unit start to wear their armor that has been set up by Ouki after Lingxu notice him trough the Black Eagle

"My lord, we have been noticed that the general of Zhao is general Houken" said the messenger

"Hou? HOUKEN?!" at which Lingxu immediately stand up at hearing that message

that Houken which slain the great general Kyou and Bayou is supposed to be dead long ago

"GET ME MESSENGER EAGLE NOW" scream Lingxu, "Tafu, get me my horse and bring me 100 men, I shall go and helped out in the battlefield" said Lingxu

when he ordered that, Sulan and Yue stands infront of him with determination in both of their eyes

at which seeing it, Lingxu shout at them "MOVE, MY BROTHER IS FIGHTING A DISADVANTAGE WAR AGAINST A RELIC OF THE PAST EVEN IF OUKI IS THERE IT WILL BE A HARD FIGHT" he shout at both of them

the shout is so harsh and give the two woman a pressure never been felt by two of them, even the guards who is guarding the place have shivers running trough their spine

"You are an injured Commander, and you have sent word that lord Taidu is the leader of this battle my Lord, it is unbefiting of you to suddenly change that arrangement" said Yue trying her best to not cower

"What do you know! Houken is the very general that even make Ouki injured so bad, and slain General Kyou at the same time with Ouki fighting beside her" Lingxu still did not budge and trying to move past the two of them

"My Lord, Lord Taidu has sent out and you should have more confidence at your brother, he will return victorious just like he promised you" said Yue once again

"this is not a mere battle, this very battle is a burial zone set by Zhao, the burial zone of a great general, or maybe the second one if nothing is done, don't think that it is such a simple matters, I as your lord order you to move away at this very moment" said Lingxu getting annoyed after getting blocked by the two of them

"Long Lingxu, your duty is in the study and gave out important strategy to the army infront, your injury would only slow them down by making them worry over someone" said Sulan finally snapping with how Lingxu behave right now

"HUH? what did you ju-" before lingxu even have the time to protest at how Sulan just called him and the disrespect that she shows

"I said LONG LINGXU, YOUR INJURY WILL ONLY HOLD BACK YOUR BROTHER AND YOU SHALL REMAIN IN THE LONG ESTATE" shout Sulan at him which even surprised Yue who stand beside her and even making Lingxu speechless

"I am sorry to say this, but you are indeed the Long greatest strength but yet with you right now, you will be the Long greatest weakness what will get spoiled by the enemy after knowing so" explain Sulan with eyes glaring at Lingxu which may seems to drill into his very soul

"and you did not need to be on the battlefield to help them, the dragon eyes has been sent to Bayou and are right now become the eyes you can use to see the battlefield even if ts delayed"

"but then, you are not Long Lingxu that I know if such delay will hold you back from making plan, and even more so, even if I need to break your legs just to get you go back to bed, I Yin Sulan is ready to do so and will be ready to receive punishment whatever you deem are just" said Sulan still with the same eyes that drill trough lingxu soul

"I, but Taidu is..." Lingxu said with eyes full of worry for his brother

at which seeing the vulnerable side of Lingxu make both Yue and Sulan heart broken, Sulan who has grown closer to him start to walk forward and slowly wrap her arms to put lingxu into a hug

Yue having seen this take her leave as to see that Sulan got the situation handled and she is no longer needed

"Lend me your shoulder to put my worry for a bit Sulan" said Lingxu weakly

"anytime My lord" said Sulan hugging him and patting his back with full affection

"you did not call my name again, you were so confident to call my full name just now" said Lingxu after some time resting at her shoulders

"That, its... I did not mean it like that, forgive me" before sulan look at him, Lingxu grab her again and hug her more tightly

"Thanks, I shall do as you say and trust my brother on this regard, while I will help him from behind" said Lingxu

sulan having been surprised at what Lingxu just did and do only smile with some tears in her eyes nodding slowly releasing her tensed up body because of her anger knowing he tried to go ti battle in such state
