Training Naruto

It had been around 3 months into gaining a house that I had gotten Naruto's basics to a comfortable level. Thus, I began teaching him the basics of Jeet Kune Do.

3 months into teaching him the basics of the style. He was ready for proper combat training, which started today about 5 minutes ago.

I stepped backwards against a roundhouse kick that threatened my head. I sidestepped a hand that reached out to grab me and counter attacked with a back hand that caught Naruto by surprise. He managed to back away as I moved my other hand into a tiger like claw as I moved forward. I thrusted it ahead and grabbed his shirt before throwing him to the floor. But midway through his fall, I sent a fast snapping kick that impacted him strongly.

I came to be right in letting his unpredictable nature come out with Jeet Kune Do. Simply teaching him the form made his attacks and how they flowed better. But he was not on par with me.

Nobody could beat me except Kiyotaka back then, and I knew that it would inevitably be the same here. Except without Kiyotaka here.

I waited patiently for Naruto to stand up as I moved 3 metres away to prepare once again.

"Nee chan that hurt." He said even though I've hit him in the past. Though I understand where he was coming from, that kick impacted his solar plexus.

"And you need to get used to such pain!" I held a commanding tone to my voice as I vocalised my honest opinion.

The only way to deal with a blow to the solar plexus was to get used to the pain it causes a person after all.

"Okay, Nee chan." He responded before fully getting up.

Dashing towards me, he sent a fast kick aimed at my abdomen. I sidestepped easily as he sent the same kick back in a manner I couldn't dodge. I felt a small amount of pain on my left arm as I blocked the kick before stepping a few feet away.

I was only on the defensive for this session. But I allowed myself to teach Naruto how people can counter him. In other words, exploiting an opening he left to fix said opening.

Naruto learned better by practical experience than he did by reading theory, it seemed. I had factored that into training plans for him.

I ducked below an elbow strike before punching his gut. Before launching a palm strike to the throat in a way that would raise his face upwards. Then, I launched a fist strike to the chin. I gripped him and then threw him to the floor. Once again.

Soon after he rose, he launched forwards using a jab punch that was slapped away. He then performed a back fist that I caught. Before, I impacted his solar plexus with a perfect kick that pushed him back.

He came at me again and again, improving at a rapid pace until I knew that the time was 3 pm.

"Naruto, we are done with today's physical training for today." I monotonously spoke.

"But why?" His eyes showed confusion, but he also seemed tired.

Unfortunately, he wasn't going to rest.

"I decided that it's time to begin with chakra training for you." I simply said, waiting for the inevitable...

"What!" He shouted.

... Yeah, that.

"Well, before we begin, explain to me in as much detail as you can on what chakra is?" I had questioned whilst simultaneously commanding him, although subtlety.

"Chakra is the culmination of our Spiritual or Yin energy and our physical or Yang energy. Chakra can be increased through training ones spiritual and physical energies." I nodded my head at his answer.

"Good now, what are the ways in which we can train our physical and spiritual energy?" I asked.

"Spiritual energy relates to our mind so studying, experience, meditation and learning increases our spiritual energy." He once again impressed me. He answered the other one.

"Physical energy can be trained through training our bodies, which increases stamina. Training normally with swords and other tools will work as well. But sparring with another person works as well." He paused to gather his breath.

"Sparring also increases our spiritual energy through the experience it gives."

"Impressive Naruto now, then let us begin with unlocking your chakra, shall we?" I asked rhetororically after speaking my honest thoughts. I was truly impressed.

Once again, my chest filled with pride that I had not felt for months now. Not that it bothered me at all.

"I will explain the process thoroughly, and then you'll attempt it."

I started explaining how awakening chakra worked. Which was a fairly simple process as Chakra already ran through in a way similar to our cardiovascular system. To awaken it, one simply has to be aware of how their chakra felt and feel it consciously.

My own was like a dam that energized me at every moment with electrifying energy.

I would've been convinced that our chakra felt exactly like our affinities. Had the feeling of calm yet fierce winds had been felt as well.

I watched Naruto as he began to feel his chakra, a peaceful smile resting on his face.
