The Chaos Within
Brigantiea felt her mana core pulsing erratically, a sensation akin to her heart about to burst. The mana core usually moved in sync with the heart rate, but now it spun wildly, making it hard to control her mana and hard to breath. She clunched her heart, tried to calmed down and control it better.
The red lightning surrounding her was a clear sign of the instability, as if her own power was trying to consume her from within.
And because of that, it becoming extremely hard to control how much mana she would use for magic. Making it dangerous for her to use it now.
Avalerry watched with a faint smile as Brigantiea struggled. She didn't know exactly what the small ball did, but it was clear it had thrown the inferno dragon off balance, causing her pain and distress.
Avalerry seized the opportunity, stretching her hand forward and chanting, "Draco Glacies!"
