Is it Wrong to Copy Abilities in Apocalypse?

APOCALYPSE. What is an apocalypse? Anything that stops or breaks the world's working flow, anything that throws human civilization into disarray, is an apocalypse. It can be a zombie attack or an EMP attack, where electrical appliances and other things stop working. Even a natural disaster at a catastrophic level will result in an apocalypse! This book is the story of one such unique apocalypse. A fantasy apocalypse where a game system descends on Earth, making humans the ones being played. Monsters roam on the earth's surface as humans hide, while gods watch from above. Some of those gods support, while others just enjoy. So, if you want such a book, then hop on your seats and put on your glasses (if you have any), as this is going to be a story of a very unique type of apocalypse (according to me). Join me in the journey of a boy named Alex as he navigates and survives through the apocalypse, along with an AI capable of copying anything. ......................................................................... This story, just like my previous one, will have an OP MC, but unlike the last one, this MC won’t be OP from the start, and he won’t be too OP. He would get into many life-threatening battles and fights where he might actually die. So, if that type of story is not your cup of tea, then I won’t force you to read it. Ah, before you start the story, here are the things you can expect in the book: Game elements, apocalypse, gods sponsoring people, and many other exciting things like that. …………………………………………………………….. This is my second book, so you can expect it to be better than the last one. Like always, I'm open to your opinions, so don't shy away and comment all you want. That's all for now. I might update the synopsis later, so keep checking.

CHAPTER 43 - Distrust.

God.

A term that humans were much too familiar with.

That word, or the emotion and devotion to that word, was the only outlet for frustration for some humans.

For some, it was the only solace they could find in the unforgiving world—the one they could share their happiness with—and for others, that word was nothing but a curse that gives hope.

Not all believed in gods, though.

Alex was also one of those people.

When his family was stolen from him, he stopped believing in God, but slowly, as he lived with someone he considered close to himself, the belief returned. That too, however, was broken—shattered into millions of pieces—when he was betrayed.

But there was one thing that everyone knew: If there was a god up there, he must be pretty strong; he must have all the abilities that the tales about them make him out to have.

This was the reason why many humans feared the moment they heard that the gods were watching them.
