CHAPTER ONE

At debby's house

Debby: You coming ,mom?

Miss tina : where exactly?

Debby: I told you I'll be going to the hospital today.

Miss tina: Why,are you sick?

Debby: Yes mom,I'm sick,I've been sick for the past couple of weeks now and you keep saying, you would take me to the hospital but you never did,so take me today.

Miss tina: Why are you waiting for me,just go with Mary.

Debby: You fired her months ago.

Miss Tina: Oh has it been that long,then take your friends.

Debby: Really mom ,is that all you can say ,really.

Miss tina: You always go everywhere with them so just go,I'm busy.

Debby: I'm fucking sick mom, don't you care (she said angrily)

Miss tina: I do care but I'm busy with work,I really care.

Debby: What are you even saying,(she took a deep breath) I've always been alone always, maybe I'll died soon and you won't have anyone to bother you anymore.

she left and her Mom didn't say anything nor even look at her, when debby got outside she saw her friends, devi and Didi waiting for her by the car, she threw the keys to devi .

Devi: why, can't drive remember.

they saw that debby was at the edge of tears.

Didi: you good, girl?

Debby: She hates me so much(She says in tears)

Didi: oh honey (she hugs her ) we love you,pay no attention to your mother,she's jealous.

Devi: why?

Didi: cause she ain't got friends like us.

Debby smiled as she stopped crying.

Debby: Okay there's no my mom's jealous of me.

Didi: I know it girl, Anyways happy birthday to us .

Debby: Ya.

Just then debby's phone rang

CALL

Debby: Hello Mal

Malcolm: Ya so are you guys anywhere close to the hospital .

Debby: Ya we will be there soon,so.....

the call ends.

Debby: Really

Devi: he cut the call again.

Debby: Yes ,that rude boy,let's hurry to the hospital then before he calls again.

Didi took the keys from devi and they drove off,hours later they got to hospital,they got down from car the and saw malcolm and the others waiting for them,they went to them and hugged.

Malcolm: took you long enough ( malcolm is debby's boyfriend)

Debby: Traffic was much and besides Didi was driving,we were even stopped by a cop for driving too fast.

Sabrina: That's my girl (didi's girlfriend)

Malcolm: Well let's hurry in ,I'm sure the test is out by now.

They went in and headed for the doctor's office.

Doctor Nomi: Oh hi kids, the test just came out ( showing them a paper) So seat down let's check it out.

Debby: You talk weird.

Malcolm: Babe, don't be rude, pay no attention to her and please tell us what the result says.

Doctor Nomi: Okay sure.

Doctor Nomi reads through the results, Minutes after reading.

Doctor Nomi: Okay so it's both good new and bad news.

Nathan: bad news first then good news please.

Doctor Nomi: Sure, well debby you are a month pregnant.

Debby: What ,pregnant?

Doctor Nomi: Yes ,congratulations.

Dido: that's fine, but if that's the bad news then what is the good news then?

Doctor Nomi: Oh sorry my bad i was supposed to tell the bad news first right, mistake, you have leukaemia, stage three.

Didi: Leukaemia?

Doctor Nomi: Yes.

Malcolm: I don't want to assume the worst, but is there a cure.

Doctor Nomi: Well,Although AML is a serious disease, it is treatable and often curable with chemotherapy with or without a bone marrow/stem cell transplant, so yes it's curable but it will come with a lot of pain which I don't think the baby can handle

Sabrina:So you're say there's a possibility of us losing the baby?

Doctor Nomi: Yes.

Debby: Well that doesn't fucking help,i feel like i should go to another hospital,give us the papers and we'll go.

Doctor Nomi: Okay.

Malcolm took the test results from the doctor and they left.

They drove away from the hospital straight to school but the school was over before they got there,and everyone were already out the school and ready to leave,As they got down from their car,cause they own three cars which all debby, didi and devi's mates drives,they saw Syria coming to them and wondered why,cause Syria was likely a mean girl.

Syria: Guess I should congratulations on your baby and possibly death.

They all looked at her in shock cause they knew Syria knows all things but not this fast.
