The Love of Cloie
“Love Between Leap Year” revolves a story of a strong independent woman, named Cloie. Like any other normal teenager, she’s also living her dreams at a prestigious state university in the Philippines, known as Hermerson University under the Faculty of Education. As a matter of fact, she’s an academic achiever and a member of an organization for top ranking students. Though, despite of her continual success in her studies, it deeply hides disappointment coming from her family.
In a family of Engineering, Cloie decided to take a different path and found herself fitted in Education. Cloie did every single thing just to make her family proud again, but it is not enough for as long as she’s still taking the degree program that her family thinks of, as full mediocrity.
At the same tick-tack of the clock, leap year magic starts embracing a rare month. As the calendar shivers into 366 days of unfortunate lucks, it welcomes the additional day of February for love and pains. The magic sleeps for about four years and once its eyes’ awaken, a belief in their family that it is unlucky. No one should ever attempt to wish for something, as it wouldn’t bring good fortune and no one knows what will happen next, if someone tries to. But according to her grandma, someone will just wake up someday, lost in misery of bad lucks because of doing so. But Cloie never give a damn to listen on their family’s ancient traditional belief, seeing herself as more than any bad lucks makes her more complicated to breathe and live her life alone.
Until one day, the University open a program for Foreign Exchange student from all over the globe, but exclusively only for a month of February. A man named Cael is one of its participant from Australia. He always steals the spotlight wherever he goes when he started to study at the same University with her. But more than that, Cael also become Cloie’s seatmate as he is also taking the same program under the same roof of their Faculty. Cael’s real personality lies behind his sweet smile and heart melting eyes. Little did Cloie knows, he’s actually the man she wished to come true unexpectedly on the eyes of leap year magic in February.
A leap year comes after four years, to embrace the love of two strangers in magic.
