In Another World as a…Bus Driver?

Benjamin Taklaw, a Filipino high school student who dreams of being a bus driver like his father, got killed by Truck-kun. He thought his life would be over, and his soul would be in the afterlife. But, he was given another chance to live his again, this time, as a bus driver in…a fantasy world? He literally woke up on a bus in another world as a young bus driver. Grasping on that opportunity, he, as a 16-year-old boy and bus driver named Russell May, is now living his new life in a new strange world, filled with monsters and magic. Along the way, he took in a snow village girl named Azalea, a low-ranked adventurer named Adrian Paulton, who was betrayed by his hero party in a dungeon, and a pair of twin dragon girls, Rai and Ria. They are now his new party and family. Together, they traveled the world through routes, picking up passengers of different races and socioeconomic backgrounds and dropping them off at their destinations of different kinds. Also, he discovered that he wasn’t alone in being reincarnated in that world: he was part of a class of creatures known as Renad. That group has different backgrounds of their previous lives, different ways they died, and best of all, different abilities, skills, and even equipment. And also, the fantasy world will have evil entities and an organization named the Square Order of the Squirrel, whose primary goal is to free the demon king, Malarka, from the seal that sealed him 1,000 years before.

Chapter 187 - A Course for Bus Driving

Third person POV

And so, while taking a break somewhere in the Principality of Jaleno, the Southern Plains, Russell was now writing his course book for new bus drivers, writing the chapters of lessons, codes of conduct, and guidelines. Masha and Azalea are with him, while Kelly and her twin daughters are scouring the skies of the country to train their wings as Silver Dragons. Many factors and aspects of being a bus driver were added to Russell's course. Among them are guidelines of fixing fares for various routes and on self-defense against potential intruders. The former was in Chapter 5, while the latter was in Chapter 11. The most important sections, like the mechanics of driving a bus and codes of conduct for drivers, were placed and written in the first part of the manuscript of a rough draft of the course book. Russell had thought a lot in that one-hour break time at noon after lunch. By the end of lunchtime, he was more than halfway done with the first draft of his course, planning to have it printed and published at a printing shop on the way home.

And so, when 5:19 p.m. came, Russell was now done and went to the nearest printing shop, which was located in Ionawood City, and submitted his manuscript to the shop's printers. Despite some corrections and marginal notes on its pages, the printers accepted it and asked Russell if he wants any royalty from them. But Russell replied back, "No, thanks, I don't need any money from you. I am more than comfortable with my job as a bus driver with a few side hustles." Respecting his decision, the printers went on to work on printing and publishing his book. Russell, being a bit classical in titling works, gave it a title called "A Comprehensive Course for New Bus Drivers", and the printers liked it. Russell knew that James couldn't print it since the reincarnated newspaper printer wouldn't able to make printed books beyond newspapers and paper invitations and flyers and such.
