Mr. Manager Wants To Seduce Me

The next day...

Arriving at Abigail's office, Adeline was introduced to the Erick, the manager of Blooming Jewelry, one of the most biggest companies in the entire country, owned by Abigail's father.

"Come to my office if you need any help." Erick stretched out his hand. "Nice to meet you, Adeline. How should I address you?"

"Adele will do." Adeline shook his hand.

Abigail smiled, handing Erick a box of chocolates. "You may leave."

"Yes, ma'am." Erick bowed as he made his way out of the room.

After watching Erick leave the room, Adeline hastily grabbed Abigail's shoulders. "Why would you give him that? Do you know that—"

"What? The chocolates?" Abigail giggled. "I like him, silly."

"You..."

"He's kinda hot, isn't he?"

"Are you guys to-together...?"

"My father would kill me, stupid! We're just friends."

"Speaking of your father, where is he? I thought you were gonna introduce me to him."

"My parents are in England." Abigail smirked. "I'm the one who's in charge of everything while he's away."

Adeline gaped at her. "B-But when will he come back?"

"In a few years? Probably?"

"You're wealthy, but why do you choose to live in an apartment with Molly?"

"No particular reason." Abigail placed her bag on top of the table. "It's better living with her in a small place rather than living in a mansion with no one to talk to."

"Thank you, Abby." Adeline gave her a hug. "I just can't thank you enough."

"Just don't fall in love with my baby okay?"

"Your baby?"

"Erick!"

"I would never do such a thing." Adeline took a few steps back. "I'm not that kind of person."

"I know and that's why I trust you." Abigail handed her a pile of papers. "It's time to get to work."

"Where will I stay?"

"In Erick's room."

"What?" Adeline's mouth dropped open. "Only the two of us?"

"I thought you'd be fine with anything." Abigail removed her furry black coat. "Are you not comfortable with him?"

"Why would you let me stay in the same room as him? Aren't you afraid that I—"

"Don't worry, Erick's a man of his words."

"Can't I just stay with you...?"

"I have a lot of clients, Adele. It's gonna be too crowded here." Abigail patted her back. "You'll get used to it. Give it some time."

(In Erick's office)

"That will be your desk." Erick pointed to the table beside the window. "I apologize if I make you uncomfortable, but I have no choice but to follow madam's orders."

"It-Its fine..." Adeline looked away. "Should I address you as—"

"Drop the informalities. Erick will do."

After a few minutes of conversing amicably, Adeline finally started her first job, but as weeks went by, she noticed that Erick never took his eyes of her. She wasn't sure whether Abigail instructed him to do such a obnoxious thing, but the stare was starting to get intolerable so she gathered up the courage to make him stop.

"Is there something you need, Mr. Erick?" Adeline walked over to his table, giving him a sarcastic smile. "You've been staring at me for the past few weeks and it's getting infuriating."

"Can't I look wherever I want?" Erick leaned back on his blue padded office chair.

"I can just move my desk to the side if I'm blocking the view of the—"

"I've developed a habit of looking at you." Erick caressed her cheeks. "You're quite striking you know. Just my type."

Adeline flinched back. "What's wrong with you? We just met not long ago."

"Don't wear that here." Erick folded his arms, looking at the black pencil skirt that showed Adeline's curves. "You're attracting me more."
