Changes.

" You look troubled. " Bain messed up her hair. " Who angered you? Tell me and I'll send them to the world above. "

Gwen shrugged her shoulders. " You might as well kill me. " She looked dejected. " I just found out Louis joined a gang. He's doing drugs and I have no idea what other crap he does."

Bain frowned. " Don't worry. I'll find him and beat the dirt out of him. " He clenched his fists.

" Don't. It's not his fault. " Gwen handed him a shotgun. They'd received a fresh shipment.

" Look , Gwenie , I know the type of people who end up in the business we do. Many end up here because of bad luck , circumstances and very few idiots choose this life for themselves out of sheer stupidity. " He placed the gun on the table. " And right now , Louis is being stupid. "

" I don't know what to do. "

" Don't do anything anymore. You've sacrificed alot for your family. It's time you thought about yourself. " He put his hands on her shoulders.

" What do you mean?" Gwen widened her eyes.

" I've been thinking about it for a long time. I want you to get your life back. "

Gwen didn't speak. She wasn't following his words well. She was confused.

" I know a guy who can get you a good job and- " Gwen held his hand. Her eyes were teary.

" Thank you. " She hugged him and sobbed. " I love you , Bain. Love you..."

He put his arms around her small frame and held her tight. " Love you more kiddo. "

He just wanted to make sure she was happy and if Alec did keep her happy , he wouldn't bring up the past. He regretted telling Leo anything. That boy was quite hot headed.

" Remember this , our gang is your second family. We'll always watch your back. "

It was getting dark as Gwen rang the door bell.It was oddly quiet. She decided to knock instead and when her knuckles touches the door , it creeped open. Something wasn't right. She walked in cautiously with her senses alert.

" You're finally here." Jacob was spread out on the couch and Marylynne and Louis were kneeling on the floor with their arms tied behind their backs.Louis' face was bruised.

" Have a seat. "

Gwen thought twice before taking her gun out. She was out numbered. They were at least five men , Jacob inclusive so she chose to obey.

" You're okay. I'll get you out of this safe and sound. " She assured Marylynne. She knew her mother was more worried about them rather than herself. She glanced at Louis. He wasn't badly hurt.

" I told you I'd pay you back , Gwen. " Jacob cackled as he spoke. " I can't wait to taste you. "

" Asshole! Don't touch my sister. " Louis was enraged. " Face someone your own size!"

Jacob got on his feet and hit him with the butt of his gun. He grabbed him by the chin and punched him.

" You're just a newbie in the gang and luckily for you..." He turned to Gwen. " I happen to fancy your sister. This makes us family so I won't do you much damage. Just a few broken bones will do. "

He pushed Louis' face away and came to where she was seated. His hand glided down her cheek and tried to kiss her.

THUD!!!

She slapped him across the face. He held his cheek and cursed.

" I'm slowly getting angry , dear and if I can't get what I want voluntarily , I can also get it the hard way. "

He forced himself on her and kissed her neck. Gwen hit him in the throat and he choked as he gasped for air. His men took out there guns and aimed at Louis and Marylynne.

" Now it's up to you. Give yourself to me or watch them die. But keep this in mind , I'll have you tonight...come what may. "

Marylynne shook her head as she screamed. " Don't do it ! Don't Gwen!"

Gwen held her breath. She'd take her chances and shoot these guys.

" Answer me! " Jacob spat as he walked over to Marylynne and slammed her head into the wall. Gwen had had about enough. She took her gun out and pulled the trigger. She didn't stop shooting till all of them were on the ground.

" Argh!! " Jacob held his stomach to stop the blood from spilling out the excruciatingly painful gunshot wound. "Bitch! I'll kill your whole family. I'll skin them alive as you watch ! "

Gwen wasn't listening. She bent to him and placed the gun in between his eyes. She could see the fear in his eyes. The worry , the panic. He wondered what would be after she took that shot. He glared at her but he was trembling at the same time.

" Bitc-" POW! There was blood splatter all over Gwen's face. She'd blown his fucking head off and she didn't even bat an eye.

Louis and Marylynne stared with their mouths hanging. They were speechless.

" Gwe...Gwen..." Marylynne called out to her daughter. And Gwen looked at her with eyes lacking remorse or any other emotion.

" Fuck you! " One of the men groaned on the floor. Gwen stood and looked at them. They were still alive and they didn't seem repentant for what they'd done. She walked to them one by one and shot them. Each bullet made Marylynne gasp and Louis just stared in absolute silence.

Gwen untied them and helped them up. They both just stared at her. She looked at the bodies on the floor. Their living room was covered in blood. She could taste blood in her mouth.

" Excuse me. " She went to bathroom sink and poured water over her face. She looked at her reflection and it stared back. She watched the blood drain down the sink. She'd killed for the first time.

She dialled Bain's number and explained what happened. She asked for help getting rid of the bodies.

" Gwen...are you okay? " Bain asked. He was concerned. Gwen didn't know the answer herself.

" Yes. " She hang up and stayed in the bathroom by herself for a while. When she got out , Alec was holding Marylynne's hand and calming her down.

When Alec saw her , he ran and hugged her. She had blood on her clothes and a little on her cheek. He cupped her face and kissed her.

" Alec...I killed five people. " She looked into his eyes.

" It was to protect your family. Nothing's wrong." He kissed her forehead.

She furrowed her brows.

" That's not it , Alec..." She paused. " I killed five people...and...I didn't feel a thing."
