To save a doomed fantasy world, I killed the main characters, then destroyed the game world, and fell into another timeline as the academy's top seat and rival to the protagonist. Now, I'm trying to save the world and steer it towards a better ending… But I'm the final boss. --- Discord: https://discord.gg/RXCj5fcp3U

Chapter 1A Terrible Ending [1]

The air was thick and smelt of burnt corpses.

Smoke filled the once vibrant environment as the crackling of burning wood continued.

The Academy of Ravenwood known to be the most prestigious learning institute in all the 3 continents.

Filled with the best professors and teachers with years of expertise in the magic arts, on top of that its students were insanely talented individuals.

With all the perfect and powerful personnels the academy was one of the most protected and safe sanctuaries...or atleast it was.

Now it was engulfed in flames, buildings demolished, dead bodies and the smell of blood mixing in with the fire.

In the middle of all this a teenage boy with jet black hair, red eyes that almost seemed lavendar and a face that could be considered attractive had his face painted red.

He slightly looked down and touched his chest, the red liquid painted his palm as he looked at his hand once more.

His gaze shifted to his chest, a rocky spike had jurted out.

That was when he realized the gravity of the situation.

He couldn't tell for how long, but he had been suspended mid air after the rocky spike pierced through his chest for a while.

*Sigh...

He wanted to mutter out something but his throat was dry from all the heat, on top of that the severe internal injuries couldn't bring him to do so.

He smiled a bit then looked up at the moon that was shining a light on him as if making his final moments eventful and memorable.

"Crap...so this is how it ends."

He finally got out his words after swallowing his saliva hard, or atleast what was left of it.

All he could taste was iron in his mouth.

The continuous trickling of his own blood had began getting on his nerves.

It's not like it was annoying, though it was, it was the fact that it was all he could hear since getting his body suspended.

"If only they could've seen it from my perspective...but those bastards are too obsessed with themselves and their ways of thinking couldn't meet or even come close to mine..."

He coughed a bit then continued.

"I'm so fucking pissed by myself...I saw it..."

"I knew it was coming...and yet...and yet I still went ahead."

His ranting was momentarily disrupted by a group of five individuals. Two males and three females.

The first one to walk to him was a boy of the same age.

Adorned in the same attire he was wearing, a white shirt, loose red tie and his signature look of leaving the black academy blazer over his shoulders.

'Is he allergic to fully wearing the coat?...' the black haired boy whose nose had been bleeding thought.

'Must be a kink for the school's females...'

Even though his entire body had almost gone completely numb he couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of all this.

The white haired boy with blue eyes had always been an over confident bastard and because of that all the girls wanted him.

"I must admit you were a really stubborn mother fucker..." the white haired boy said bringing him back to the gruesome reality he was in.

"I shall commend you of your unwavering fighting spirit but the fact you're a threat to not only the Academy but the entire continent...I must put an end to you," the white haired boy concluded.

"Bullshit...you just want to lay the saintess...don't you dare justify your actions in the name of glory and honour.."

"Matter of fact...screw you all, if only you knew the reason behind my actions was for the greater good of this world in general..."

The black haired boy said only to be cut off by a girl with blue hair, eye of the same colour and wearing a similar uniform, only difference being she wore a very short skirt.

"Oh please, greater good my ass. You call overthrowing the Archbishop of the church of the technique god a noble deed?"

"You call sleeping with the King's only daughter greater good?"

"You're a vile and disgusting human being, the word human shoudn't even be used to address the type of life you have lived..."

Before the blue haired girl could finish, a single icicle darted past her neck, leaving a small cut on her neck as part of her face froze a bit from the cold air trail left by the icicle that dissipated in the air.

"That's funny coming from a slut like yourself...oh great heiress of the Bluerose House..."

The blackhaired boy said smiling before coughing up blood.

With that last manifested icicle, his mana pool was completely drained leaving him in a state of no defence whatsover.

But he had already accepted his fate, he was viewed as this world's villain after all.

The white haired boy moved and delivered a punch to him from the statement he had just made.

But the black-haired boy's face was already numb and compared to the large spike protruding from his chest, the punch was nothing.

"How many times are you going to keep defending this girls...you know what type of people they are.." the black-haired boy said.

Just looking at the white haired boy he could tell he had gotten to him, and he also knew what he said was true in all manner.

Because compared to him, these five individuals were maniacal bastards and the reason everything had turned out like this.

And he knew after they killed him here, everything done would be blamed on him.

"You lot are far much worse than I am...and you all know that..."

The white-haired boy smiled and then broke into laughter his hand placed on his face and then stopped abruptly shifting his gaze to the black haired boy.

"And so what? You won't even live to tell your side of the story, and even if you did noone will believe you..."

"Thank you for making things easier for us...we finally got the Divine Relic, thanks to you."

"But you're currently of no use at all..."

He then proceeded to draw his sword and having it inches away from the black-haired boy.

"Any last words?..."

He proceeded to say.

The black-haired boy didn't do anything at first, he then smiled or rather widely grinning and lifted up a single middle finger that was bloody.

"With all the gods and constellations watching...SCREW YOU ALL!!!"

His words came to an end as his neck was met by the blade severing the head as it plopped onto the ground with a sickening crunch putting an end to his life.

The white haired boy proceeded to spread his arms, the moonlight shining on him as he proceeded to laugh.

"Our age is finally here...a new dawning ERA!"

The other four moved close to him all smiling along as they stood in the debris of what was once an academy of talented geniuses.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

I found the beginning to be far better than the middle and end, and the story truly falls apart at the end of Act 1, or the twist. The writing wasn’t bad, especially in the beginning, but typos do litter it. What really put me off were the love interests; they felt forced and moved too fast. I also despise multiple love interests—it annoys me, so this part is personal. The world-building, or lack thereof, leaves something to be desired. You created churches and gods, so develop them early on and form your world around them. For example, make all the nobles clergy members who rule over the church and its land, like the Catholics did in England before the 7th century. Add orders to all of them and make the religion the focal point, because that’s the center of your power system. Instead of mana, make it divinity. Characters could grow stronger based on how closely they follow the church’s tenets—the more in line they are, the stronger they become. Now, for the academy’s world-building, it’s lackluster, and I couldn’t tell you how to navigate it. There are very few named buildings, and the buildings that are named are poorly constructed. The combat also leaves some parts to be desired, but it’s fine for the most part. Character descriptions are pretty solid. The plot moves fast—sometimes too fast—but I did enjoy it for a while and saw a lot of potential. However, much of it was wasted due to inexperience and rushed sections. That said, the author will most likely create great novels in the future because, for the most part, their weaknesses are basic issues that will improve with more writing. I believe good things will come from this author, and I hope they continue. P.S. Sorry for the typos and missed words. I’m rushing this, and I type slower than I think.
