"Ian. Dinner's ready. "A soft woman's voice woke Dan up from his sweet sleep. Who was the monster in human skin disturbing his sweet sleep?
Dan groaned as he opened his eyes. His mind and body felt sluggish. Confused, Dan rubbed his eyes in a futile attempt to shake off the sleepiness. He stretched his body and closed his eyes again. Dinner be damned, sleep was more important.
"Ian. " This time the voice wasn't soft. It was a deep male voice. It was closer too.
Dan again opened his eyes with effort. Who was it? He wanted to scream the question at whoever was talking then it got stuck in his throat. He lived alone then who the fuck was talking just now?
Sleep be damned, Dan abruptly sat up and almost got a heart attack. This wasn't his room. He lived in a villa with a gorgeous view through the balcony beside his bedroom.
"The hell is this place? " Dan cursed softly as he checked the room. There was a small table with something on top of it and there seemed to be a cabinet. There was a rack too, filled with shoes on the bottom and stacks of books on the top. The walls were bland white with not a whiff of aesthetic.
And then Dan's eyes landed on his feet after which his eyes nearly fell out of its sockets.
"What the? Whose leg is this? "The feet were so small that they didn't belong in the body of a 21-year-old man. Dan touched his feet and realized it was really his, but then got another shock. His hands were small too.
"Am I in a dream? "Dan muttered as he stared at his small hands. It could be. Otherwise, there was no logical explanation for this. He should be in his house in China, sleeping on a king-size bed and not in a small bed in a kid's body.
"What's happening? "Dan said with a confused voice and shook his head. He got out of the bed and his eyes landed on the cabinet beside the bed which had a mirror.
And then suddenly a headache worth million bucks hit him so hard that he almost fainted. He fell to the ground and struggled to remain conscious. The pain was too much.
Dan closed his eyes and curled his convulsing body, wishing for the pain to end. It did but only after leaving him tired and barely conscious.
Dan took deep breaths as he blinked his eyes. There were teardrops at the corner of his eyes. Dan hastily rubbed the tears away and sat up.
"What is happening? "Dan muttered tiredly. He was confused and it grew with every passing second as he tried to make sense of the situation.
He stood up with immense difficulty. He finally managed to stand and his eyes met with someone. A boy no more than fifteen with brown hair and brown eyes. His face was average and Dan could guess his future just from his face.
"A fucking nobody. "He muttered and then the boy's lips moved too and Dan realized that he was looking at a mirror. And that was when it happened...
