HxH: another kind of Zoldyck

Synopsis: A fan of manga and anime was extremely unlucky in his life and ended up dying by suicide. Fortunately, Death itself came to repair the injustice he had suffered and reincarnated him in another world with a wish limited to that specific world. Author's Note: I do not own HxH, and the cover of this story is not mine. The protagonist will not be a psychopathic madman who kills indiscriminately, but a rational and sometimes selfish individual in his decisions.

Chapter 11: Nen

Kira's POV

"I want to stay!" Killua begged, but he was still kicked out of the apartment by Biscuit before she closed the door.

"We're finally alone, my little Kira," Biscuit declared with a tired sigh.

"Hearing you, someone might misinterpret your intentions, haha," I said, laughing to ease the awkward atmosphere in the room.

"Haha, I'm not going to eat you, at least not for now," she said, half-serious. I immediately stopped laughing, slightly embarrassed.

Although Biscuit is cute in this appearance, I know she's very "manly" in her true form, and I don't want her to break my "little brother."

Wait a minute, maybe I could use The Visionary after unlocking my Nen to transform her transformation into her true form and allow her to keep her strength at the same time.

It's really an interesting idea that I should explore later.

"Stop thinking about it seriously, kid. I'm too old for you anyway," she said, smiling. I could sense loneliness in that smile, since I probably know that feeling better than many people because of my previous life.

"Yes, you're right. I should think about it seriously later, but for now, we have other priorities," I said, nodding, satisfied with my current decision.

"WHAT?!" Biscuit exclaimed loudly. It seems my words had provoked a strong reaction in her.

It's a shame I can't tell if it's positive or negative for now.

"Why are you surprised? I'm a Zoldyck, and my family favors the genes of strong people," I stated, looking at Biscuit's confused face.

"To put it simply, strength is synonymous with beauty for us, and weakness with ugliness," I explained honestly.

I hadn't lied to Biscuit. My grandfather Zeno didn't just train me physically, he also gave me a Zoldyck education during our random discussions at the family residence.

What's the reason Illumi refuses to accept Gon and the others in the original story as Killua's friends?

It's simple, they simply didn't meet the strength standards to be considered worthy of being a Zoldyck's friend or an equal partner.

Illumi himself is close to Hisoka, he can even be qualified as his friend and equal partner.

It's also the case for Kalluto who joined the Phantom Troupe; she wanted to be a long-term partner with them.

The reason is simple: she judged that she could gain a lot by getting close to them because of their strength.

So, I didn't lie to Biscuit by saying I'd rethink her "advances" later. Of course, I know she's probably joking.

I'm too young to be in her strike zone, unlike Hisoka or those models she drools over in magazines.

I'm sure that when I'm 10 years older, Biscuit will be more open to negotiations.

"All this is too fast, we should return to the subject that interests us," Biscuit simply replied. It was a clear attempt to change the subject.

I didn't contradict her and just nodded. It's not like Biscuit is the only option as a strong woman in this universe.

If I remember correctly, Shizuka shouldn't have joined the Phantom Troupe yet, and at worst, I can just do something crazy like stealing Gon's aunt.

I didn't want to affect the original story too much, but I'll soon possess The Visionary, so most enemies won't be a problem for me anymore.

"Can you honestly tell me all your knowledge about Nen?" Biscuit asked in a serious tone. It seems she has officially switched to teacher mode.

"I'd like to assess your knowledge to know where I should start in theory to move on to practice later," she explained after observing my dubious face.

"I only know the 4 fundamental principles, the Oath , and the Nen categories," I lied nonchalantly.

"I see, you know a lot, but you don't seem to know how to unlock your Nen," she said, nodding in understanding.

*Clap* Sound of hands clapping

"I know you already have good physical foundations on my observations at Heaven Arena, so I won't train you on that," she explained, her hands still joined.

"So for now, I'm going to explain how to unlock your Nen to assist you on this path, and after that, I'll supervise your training in the Shingen-ryu kung fu style," she declared, smiling.

"That's all I ask, Miss Biscuit," I said, returning her smile.

That's how I started my Nen training.

....

Time flew by quickly.

A lot of things happened during my training, but the most important ones are...

First, Biscuit had refused to teach Nen to Neon and Killua.

She preferred to first teach Neon the "Shingen-ryu kung fu" school's fighting style to create a solid foundation for her.

She explained to me that learning Nen without knowing how to fight often carried risks, as it was like giving a weapon to a complete ignorant.

For Killua's case, it was just a personal refusal.

It seems she doesn't like Killua and, unfortunately, it was mutual.

Secondly, there's also the fact that Biscuit's training wasn't free like with Gon and Killua in the original story.

I had to house her, feed her, and pay her. I ended up exhausting the money given by Illumi and Heaven Arena, so I'm currently using Killua's money.

Third and last important point, I finally did it.

"Congratulations Kira, you've unlocked all your shōko," Biscuit declared in a proud tone.

It took me 2 fucking months of meditation to finally succeed, Biscuit didn't want to use the second method, which is faster to unlock my shōko, because of my young age.

"Now, use your Ten to retain your 'aura'," she said slightly quickly.

I executed while I was in a meditation position. I could feel like a hot, viscous substance coming out of me uncontrollably.

I concentrated on putting it to rest or retaining it. After a few minutes, I finally succeeded.

This hot substance had become like another layer of skin on me and, strangely, it wasn't uncomfortable but pleasant.

"You really understood the trick quickly," Biscuit declared, nodding with satisfaction.

"That's because I have an excellent teacher," I replied, smiling gratefully.

I wasn't just happy about obtaining my Nen, I had just received a flood of information explaining my Hatsu, or to put it simply, "The Visionary."

"You're right, you have an incredible teacher, but your talent is probably the best I've seen," she said at first, puffing out her non-existent chest before taking on a serious expression when talking about my talent.

I'm not sure my pure talent is better than Killua's, but I've really worked hard since my reincarnation to maximize it.

I studied medicine to always push my poison resistance further and I worked hard under grandfather Zeno to improve my foundations.

I even followed a brutal regime to accelerate my evolution, all this to push this physique to perfection.

I didn't want to suffer the problem that Gremmy suffered against Zaraki, I don't want my physical envelope to abandon me brutally during a fight.

"You should rest, we're going to tackle the rest of the 4 fundamental principles of Nen soon," Biscuit declared enthusiastically before signaling me to sleep.

It seems that she's going to use her Hatsu on me again to accelerate my rest.

"Thank you, teacher," I said, falling asleep on her knees.

Author's note: Finally, the Heaven Arena arc is finished.
