Yu Yan woke up to a worse day than the previous one. Starting her morning with a night mare and a crucifying head ache, she didn't want to go to Winters Academy anymore.

As if that devilish Gu Jingze was not okay with taking control of her entire day, he somehow managed to take control of her dreams. Beads of sweat rolled down her fore head as she recalled the night mare she had.

"You may now kiss the bride."

"Aaarghhhhhhhhhh.." She screamed and threw her hair brush on the floor. Her marrying Gu Jingze, Tch!

The dream was like a present he gave her during the night to make her remember him all day. That bastard. She curled her fists and looked at herself again in the mirror.

"Simple look, simple look." She chanted as she rummaged through her closet.

Ah-ha, she pulled out one blue beautiful short dress and went to put it on. She examined herself and twirled in front of the mirror.

"Since when did you start to care about how you look? What happened?" The angel in her head whispered.

"Shut up spoilt sport, Gu Jingze happened. Look, our beautiful girl has finally matured. " The devil praised satisfactorily.

" Yu Yan, now isn't the time to think of boys, you haven't cleared your debts. " The angel fought back desperately.

" Exactly, this isn't the time to think of boys. Gu Jingze is a man, you can think about him all the time. " The devil advised, spreading it's wings dramatically.

Whilst stomping her feet angrily, Yu Yan noticed she hadn't worn her shoes. Looking at the long row of sneakers and high heels she had, she harrumphed. She wouldn't wear heels to school as for sneakers, what if Gu Jingze wore the same one with her. Who even asked him to be wearing unisex shoes?

She then desperately kept searching until she found the only pair of white flats she bought at a thrift store. Determinedly, she put it on and went straight out not minding to eat, since she had to catch the bus and was already late.

As Yu Yan entered the Academy, she noticed everywhere was eerily quiet. She smirked. It meant one of three things;

One, The four rich best friends hadn't arrived.

Two, they weren't coming at all.

Three, all the students had received the surprise she prepared for them.

She made a beeline for her class, eager to forget about Gu Jingze and get her head back into the game. However, she bumped into a frightened Xiaoyu on the way. Her blood boiled, who dared to do that to her friend?

"Xiaoyu, what's the matter?"

"Ah... Yu Yan, I've been waiting for you. I have to leave now. Dad got into a car accident and mum is there with him in the hospital. Though it's a minor one with no casualties, he still has to run a full body check. Can you help me take notes, I have to keep watch of my brother. " Xiaoyu explained in one breath.

" Is everything okay? Should I come along?" Yu Yan blurted out without thinking.

"Didn't you hear, you have to help me take notes. With my part-time job, I have to read overnight to balance up, so I can't skip a day's work, okay. "

" Oh, sorry, okay. Call me if anything urgent happens. " Yu Yan said and waved at an already running Xiaoyu.

Great, could her day go any better? She made a silent prayer that all is well with Xiaoyu's father, knowing how much Xiaoyu loves him.

She stepped into the classroom and everywhere was silent.

"Do you think Ice witch knows?"

"I doubt it, even then, if she knew, isn't she always prepared."

" I wish I were her."

Yu Yan was bewildered. Don't they get tired of the same thing and what were they talking about, her surprise?

She wished she could tell them all was because of Gu Jingze, he turned the school into a fandom, hence, she had to put them back in place.

She saw Bai Xin Xin staring at her coldly. Had she figured she was Gu Jingze's mystery woman or she was still holding a grudge?

Gu Jingze's woman, why did she like the sound of that?

Shrugging, she took a seat at the farthest end in the middle row and pulled out her books waiting for the professor, as she checked the time. God help her if she's more than ten minutes late for a forty five minutes lecture.

About few seconds later, the woman entered but Yu Yan scoffed. Somehow, she didn't like her anymore. Imagine having English Literature every morning, ughh!

"Class, I'm so sorry, you must have heard the rumor circulating round the academy. Yes, we have to put a pause to the academic work this week as an impromptu test would be given to you all. Study hard, it'll be added to your GPA."

All the students grumbled and protested, all but Yu Yan. She had expected it, what was she saying? She planned it all, they'll have a rethink the next time they turn the academy to a fandom. She couldn't wait for Gu Jingze to hear that he had a test and had not resumed.

She couldn't help but wonder what the almighty Gu would get.

"Thinking of Gu Jingze again?" The angel whispered and she shook her head vigorously.

"However, the chancellor, as an apology gift for the impromptu decision, has prepared a celebration party for you all, dinner et all."

Yu Yan almost jumped up. She knew who was behind the addition. She never said a party should be organized, knowing the students, their mind would be on the party and not the test.

"Ximen, wait till I catch you." She murmured.

" The dinner's going to be on me." Bai Xin Xin said, not missing a chance to flaunt her wealth. Yu Yan almost snickered. The girl always over emphasized herself. The entire Bai family's assets worth was not even up to a tenth of her current bank balance.

"Okay, the tab can be on anyone you choose." The professor said smiling genuinely. Yu Yan assumed her daughter must have gotten out of the hospital. She promised herself if the spoilt brat dares to bully her again, she'll send her there for a month!

"Let the tab be on Yu Yan." Yu Yan always wondered why they never called her by her name unless they wanted to make trouble. She was itching to find out which bastard said that, however, she didn't even turn her head as she pretended not to hear.

"Shh...how dare you say that?" Another voice reprimanded.

" He's just suggesting, okay, the person with the highest score would treat us all." Lu Boyan added and everyone including the professor agreed with him.

Yu Yan gritted her teeth, Lu Boyan had an evident crush on her and never missed any chance to hit on her. Unlike the rest, he had a solid family foundation whom were into technologies and he was to inherit his family business, being the only child.

Though, not as prestigious as Gu Jingze and the rest, his family were fairly recognized and honored. That, always gave him the confidence to act how he liked and like puppets in a string, everyone agrees to what he says.

Yu Yan couldn't help but calculate how many days it would take for his family to crumble if she withdrew her shares. He clearly was playing with fire, everyone knew she always topped the class in everything. It was like he was indirectly asking her to pay, anyways.

However, with that impassive stare, she kept her gaze on her book.

Ding...

Ding.....

Ding....

All the phones in the class vibrated at once.

As Yu Yan checked her phone, her eyes widened and she passed out from shock.
