Chapter 13- Getting Ready

Teja's POV:-

Finally, this day has come.

My Engagement.

Even, I want to enjoy the last days of my freedom, but he didn't let me.

I want to cry, but I can't as I don't want to create suspicion in anyone's mind.

So, I have to act with all blushy and happy faces.

Sometimes it comes out naturally as they talk about Tanish and my intimate time.

These days, mom is on a different level.

I never saw her this happy that she is in these days.

After all, she completed her responsibilities.

I recall when I come back to my home just for packing.

Yes, that day, I left India. I came to my home a few hours earlier.

So, I can pack my things.

Flashback:-

I have packed everything I needed as I made a list of my things in the hospital.

I am checking my things again right now, so I won't regret it when I reached my university.

" Teja!!! " I heard my mother's sweet voice.

" Yes, maa. " I replied and saw mom coming to my room with her hands back.

I felt suspicion, but I choose to ignore it.

I zipped my suitcase as I checked.

" Teja, don't you think you have forgotten something? " Mom asked.

I think and shook my face as a no.

" No, maa. " I said and turned my wheelchair towards her.

" Look, take this. I want you to take care of her. " Mom said and gave me Lord Swaraswati's statue that I brought by my savings and place on our home temple.

I gasped and took it in my hands.

How can I forget this important thing?

Dad, Ritu Di, and I decided to buy a statue of Lord Saraswati as Dad wanted us to believe in God before Dad died.

After a few years, we faced financial problems.

When we come out from our financial crisis, my older sister died.

But I never forgot our promise, so I bought a small statue of Lord Saraswati and worshipped her.

I am starting to miss them.

" Teja, are you even listening to me? " Mom asked, and I come out from my thoughts.

" Sorry, maa, for not listening to you. " I apologized, and Mom sighed.

" Teja, do you know? I just want to complete my responsibilities before I died. " Mom confessed and I put my hands on her lips.

" No, mom, you can't say something like this. Don't you love me? Are we only your responsibilities? " I asked and emotionally blackmailed her.

I know, she loved us a lot.

" You stupid girl, I love my daughters a lot. You and your sister are my pride. People say anything about you, but I believe in my daughters. " Mom replied confidently.

I hugged her immediately as I know how much humiliation she is suffering after my abortion.

But, I promised myself that I won't let her down.

Those people who are humiliating her, one day, those people can't help but, praising her daughters.

Now, I may make her proud, but my fate is still playing with me.

I can't help but think, where I went wrong.

" Good morning, dear. You have to get ready. We are going to be late, what are you doing till now that you didn't take a bath till now. " Mom yelled, and I smiled.

" Good morning, maa. I was thinking how happy we will be today if Dad and di are alive. " I confessed, and she halted her steps.

She turned and looked at me with an emotional smile.

" They would be laughing here right now, and your dad is teasing while looking at your blushing face. Your sister was yelling at you and doing your makeup with her hands, and She doesn't let anyone enter your room. " Mom explained, and I think trying to make an image in her mind.

She is smiling emotionally.

" Teja, your dad will be very happy today as he is going to put your hands on Tanish's hands. " Mom said, and I hugged her.

" Dad must be happy today while looking at us from the sky. " I said.

" Di, you... " I heard Bubbly's voice from outside of my room, but she didn't complete her as she saw me in my pajamas.

" Di, what type of bride are you? Do you want to be late for your own Engagement ceremony? " Bubbly yelled, and I laughed, looking at her angry pouty face.

" Oh, my dear sister, chillax. Come, let me hug you and kiss you, come, come. " I said, and she made a disgusted face and started running.

I ran after her.

" Di, no!!! I don't want your wet kisses. " Bubbly yelled while running towards the corridor.

" Oh, dear. You need it. " I yelled back and saw Bubblt bumped on her husband.

I stopped running as Jassi put his hands on Bubbly's waist to prevent her from falling.

They are looking at each other with love, desire, care, and shock.

They forgot about their surroundings and went to their world.

I cleared my throat to make them realize their intimate situation.

They come out from their world and adjust themselves.

Their faces are worth watching as their cheeks become crimson red.

" Ohho!!! Love is in the air. " I said, and they are looking at me with please- don't made-us-more-embarrassed-look.

I can't help but laugh wholeheartedly, seeing their reactions.

" God, you guys are so sweet. God bless you, my children. " I said as I have an upper position.

They smiled, and Bubbly said, " Di, you need to get ready, don't forget. "

" Yeah, yeah, I know, come to my room after an hour. " I said and come to my room as I don't want to see anyone in my spoiled mood.

I entered my room and saw mom left already.

I did my business and come to my wardrobe to wear my lehenga.

When I saw my lehenga, I remember that disgusting day.
