Hinami Senju: The tale of a hybrid ninja

"Be safe on todays mission, Alright Nawaki." Tsunade said looking to her 12 year old brother as she stood at 17. Tsunade had her ash blonde hair in a ponytail behind her head, wearing a white cropped shirt with fishnetting underneath, wearing a red skirt with her sandals on her feet. Nawaki looked over, brown eyes meeting brown, he placed an easy smile on his face as he placed his hands behind his head, looking at his older sister.

"Hey elder sister, don't worry, I'm gonna be hokage just like grandfather." Nawaki said in confidence. His headband was tied around his forehead, his light brown hair falling around the metal, wearing a dark green button up top with cream colored near the top. Wearing their grandfather's necklace around his neck, wearing brown pants and blue ninja sandals. 

"To be hokage, That is my dream." Nawaki continued and Tsunade sighed, before kissing his forehead, wishing him luck. She believed in him wholeheartedly, their parents had passed a few months ago, and as such, it was up to Tsunade to raise Nawaki up and protect him. 

"Nawaki. We need to get going now." Orochimaru said, as he walked up from the building stairs. Orochimaru's black hair was down behind his head, bangs parting over his leaf headband, wearing black ninja outfit with a forest color flak jacket over top, the sleeves of his shirt reaching over his hands. Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya were all jonin, having become sensei. Orochimaru was Nawakis jonin sensei. Assigned to teach him and guide him in the world, and Nawaki was eager to learn. Excited even.

'Somethings not right…' Orochimaru had a gut feeling, as they stood in the forest, he stood behind a tree near the building they were set to infiltrate merely a meter in front of them. The moon beamed down, casting an eerie glow between the leaves which offered more cover. The others were set to move in, Nawaki going to jump past Orochimaru, he grabbed him by the collar. Stopping his progression, Nawaki turned back, intent on asking Orochimaru what the hell he was planning, why he'd held him back. Before he could ask Orochimaru why hed done it, the building before them exploded, Orochimaru had tried to stop his team, but, Nawaki was the only one he was close enough to physically to grab. Nawaki's eyes widening, 'That could have been me… holy shit.' he thought, looking at the building that was up in flames. The rubble was all over the grassy field where Nawaki had been about to walk towards. 

"Always make sure you scan your surroundings, Nawaki." He said calmly, and Nawaki nodded in return, the entire team, his teammates… Muchiro, and Yanake, were not as lucky as he was, as he picked up Muichiro's headband. Tears filling his eyes, before falling to the grass below. 

"If you weren't here sensei, I would've been dead…" Nawaki said in shock, as Orochimaru placed a hand on his shoulder in sympathy, the two going over the rubble of the building. There was no doub t about it, this was set by Stone Shinobi. They were at war once more, how infuriating. More were going to die, and the last two hokage had already past in the 1st and 2nd wars. 

"We need to report this to the village. We are at war." Orochimaru said and Nawaki nodded, the two jumping back towards the village, reporting to Orochimaru's previous sensei, Hiruzen Sarutobi, about what happened. 

"I see… So, the building imploded before the entire team could move in on it." Hiruzen asked as he sat behind the desk, his brown hair around his head as he wore the hokage cap on his head, looking towards the two, wearing a white kimono with red fabric going down the middle, sitting in the brown chair behind the hokage's desk, his hands folded up near his chin with a pipe in his mouth. Nawaki nodded, he was still in partial shock, having dodged death mere hours before. Saddened that his comrades, his entire team. They weren't as lucky as he was and their funerals were to take place within the week. Muichiro and Yanake had been his best friends in the academy, and now… Now they were gone. Forever.

"Yes, Sarutobi sensei. I was unable to grab my other two students, due to their distance away, Nawaki was the only one I was able to save from the explosion. Additionally, I was able to recover this." Orochimaru said, holding up a hidden stone headband, as well as a bomb from the hidden rain, disconnected for obvious reasons. Hiruzen hummed, this troubled him for a number of reasons. This meant another war. He sighed, before dismissing Nawaki and Orochimaru. Who met Jiraiya on the other side of the wall, who was standing with Tsunade who'd ran up to the hokage building upon hearing that Nawaki's mission went south, she was sure he was… That he… Oh she couldn't bear the thought of her kid brother, dead. 

"Nawaki?!" Tsunade said as she ran in, her blonde hair moving with the wind she generated. Bypassing Jiraiya and Orochimaru as she grabbed her brother in a tight hug, 

"Tsunade." Nawaki said looking over at his sisters head, before hugging her tightly, tears filling his eyes, hugging her tightly in the middle of the hokage's mansion, as he didn't know if he'd be able to a few hours earlier. He was still in mission gear but neither seemed to care.

"Oh thank goodness! When I heard about the team and you, I was so worried that…" she didnt finish Her sentence as she hugged the boy tightly, Jiraiya and Orochimaru just watching. Content to let the siblings catch up with eachother. The war, the second great ninja war, in which the Stone, Sand, Rain, and Leaf all participated. Ended with more than a little bloodshed, Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Jiraiya, were dubbed the Sanin of the leaf. As many victories as they had, they also had many losses, including Danzo Shimura of the hidden leaf, though, his body was never recovered. The two puppet users from the hidden sand, quite a few ninja from the hidden rain. Including the parents of Nagato Uzumaki, who'd moved into hiding in the hidden rain. Jiraiya taking on the trio, Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan, into his tulteltage. He'd asked them once if they wanted to return to the hidden leaf, or remain in the rain, and they wanted to remain in the rain to help out the locals who were harmed in the war. There was also a number of cassulaties from the hidden leaf, sand, and stone.

 "I vow to protect this village with my life." Nawaki said as he was sworn in as the 4th hokage, 5 years after the 2nd ninja war. Standing now at 25, He stood on the hokage building with the hokage's hat on his head, looking out to the village. His light brown hair in a ponytail behind his head, as he wore a dark green longsleeve shirt with black pants, a shuriken holster on his right thigh, his kunai pouch on his back waist. Wearing a light blue ponch over his shoulders, with the Senju symbol in black on the front, the lower part of the poncho as well as the hood that sat on his back his leaf headband sitting around his forehead. Tsunade stood with Hiruzen as he nodded to his successor. Minato had a hand on Kushina's shoulder as they watched the inauguration of Nawaki from the ground below. Soon after the ceremony was over, Nawaki turned from the crowd, walking back to his family. 

"Well done, Nawaki." Tsunade said looking at her younger brother with pride, he'd done it. Her ash blonde hair was in pigtails behind her head, wearing a gray sleeveless kimono top with black capris pants and a green haori on her shoulders, wearing black heeled sandals that wrapped around her ankles. 

"Thanks elder sister." Nawaki said looking over with sincerity

"That was real cool Uncle Nawaki." Kiyoka said, she was Tsunade and Jiraiya's daughter from a… drunk interaction, though, the two opted to keep the pregnancy. Kiyoka had bright red hair with brown eyes, paired with a red markings which looked like eyeliner outside of either eye, her bangs falling like curtains, similar to Tsunade's own. She was only three. Kiyoka wore a light blue kimono with a pink belt, wearing black sandals on her feet. Standing in between Tsunade and Jiraiya, who were still deciding whether or not to get married. Deciding to just remain friends for now, while they focused on Kiyoka. 

"You think so Kiyoka?" Nawaki questioned the girl who nodded in seriousness, looking towards the man before he thanked the child for her kindness.

The fourth leader of the hidden leaf. He was sure that Nawaki was the best choice, as was the Feudal Lord. Nawaki proved to be a competent leader, agreeing with Tsunade on the training for medical nin on every team, something the elders were against. Though, due to the charter, 'When applicable, both the civilian and shinobi councils may be consulted in place of the elder council for issues of immediate importance', Nawaki was able to overrule the ruling made by the elder council. Elders Homura and Kotaru were against the idea with Hiruzen ruling in favor of the idea with Nawaki, which meant that they had a tie. As such, Nawaki decided to invoke the opinion of the Shinobi and Civilian councils jointly. The Shinobi council, consisting of Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka, Choza Akamitchi, Minato Namikaze, Tsuma Inuzuka, Fugaku Uchiha, Hiashi Hyuga, and Shibi Abarame, were split on the decision. Shikaku, Minato, Tsuma, Inoichi, and Choza voting for the medical training. The civilian council consisted of Takami, Kizashi Haruno, Mebuki Haruno, Mrs. Yamanaka, plus a few other civilian families or previous shinobi, some of whom had kids that would be entering into the ninja academy to become ninja. It was an outstanding yes from both councils. Training for the medical ninjutsu was largely left to Tsunade to delegate. But soon, there was a requirement for one team member from each team sign up for medical ninjutsu training. Prior to being promoted to chunin. Or taking on missions higher than Crank. Minato's team which consisted of Kakashi Hatake, Rin Nohara, and Obito Uchiha, already had a medical nin in Rin Nohara. Inoichi Yamanaka's team of Fuu Yamanaka, Torune Abarame, and Rika Hyuga, also had a medical nin with Rika hyuga. Choza's team, holding Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yuuhi, and Hayate Gecko, saw Kurenai as the medical nin. Haruki Sarutobi's team consisting of Genma Shiranui, Ebisu, and Might Gai, Ebisu being the medical nin on their team. 

Nawaki led them through the 3rd ninja war, which started when the stone attacked the leaf unprovoked. They fought tirelessly, regretfully… Mintao's team was sent to the front lines during the battle that took place at Kanabi bridge. They were only supposed to stop the supplies from getting to the stone troops heading to the hidden leaf, it was supposed to be a simple mission. But… When team Minato returned, Obito was dead, Kakashi had his left eye, a gift from the boy before he died. Transferred by Rin who was a medical ninja. Minato carried the limp body of the Uchiha with them as they returned to the leaf. At the end of the war, they held a mass funeral in which Obito's picture was placed alongside the other shinobi who's lives were lost in the war. The entire Uchiha clan showed for their respects, as well as the rest of the village, with Nawaki tipping his hat down, standing on the side of the mourners. Wearing black attire as was everyone. The War ended, but at a steep price in manpower for the leaf. Soon after the war, when things were settled and getting back to normal in the leaf. his wife, Hadami Hyuga, who came from the Hyuga's main family, though, was not in line to be heir. Hadami had violet hair that reached her waist, wearing a light violet kimono, her pale pink eyes as was the case with all hyuga. found out they were pregnant, with a girl whom they were naming Hinami. after her great grandfather, the first hokage and the sun. That's what Nawaki and Hadami wanted for their daughter. A reminder that they may look the same, but they were completely different people. A perfect balance.

Hadami took a walk through the village still very pregnant with the twins. Deciding to go about her day shopping, running into Tsunade and Jiraiya, the three deciding to walk together to the Senju's old playground, Tsunade asking her about the pregnancy, how it was going and everything else, Hadami happy to entertain her sister-in-law's questions and concern. After all, she'd been just as worried for her when she gave birth to Kiyoka. Tsunade and Jiyaiya swinging Kiyoka in between them Nawaki made his way towards the park built by Hashirama, the park barely used by those outside of the Senju clan. Finding that Hadami, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Kiyoka were there. 

"Hey!" Nawaki said waving to the group, Hadami turned, her pale pink eyes looking forwards, meeting Nawaki's brown. Tsunade looking over as well as Kiyoka, the seven year old, who's light red hair sat in pigtails behind her head as her brown eyes looked towards her uncle, wearing a pink tank style dress as she ran around the park. Kiyoka was undergoing training in medical and basic jutsu with Tsunade. Nawaki placing a hand on Hadami's shoulder, placing a hand on her abdomen, asking how she was feeling, apologizing for being late home from the office. Hadami waving off his concern vaguely.

"Uncle, Come play! Hahaha." Kiyoka said as she ran up, jumping around Nawaki, cheering for her father who picked her up, and spun around for a moment, the girl laughing and cheering the entire way.

"You asked for it, Kiyoka." He said placing the girl on his shoulders as she clapped and cheered. Tsunade placed a hand on Nawaki's shoulder. 

"Mama said that babies sleep a lot a lot alot, is that true? Is she gonna be able to play when she's born?" Kiyoka asked and Nawaki nodded in response, glancing back towards the girl, 

"That means she won't be able to train or anything with me, aw man, she's going to miss everything." Kiyoka said dramatically, and Nawaki raised an eyebrow, 

"Everything? What do you mean?" Nawaki said looking up towards the girl who looked down, 

"We did a lot a lot a lot of stuff!" Kiyoka said in response, opening her arms wide as she leaned back, nearly falling. Nawaki stabilizing her as he asked what they did, getting an entire itinerary of their day.
