Hero Up!

Townsville, the big and beautiful city known by everyone not only for its beauty, but mainly for the terrible monster attacks that the city suffered.

But don't think that was the end, as Townsville was surrounded by a large dome-shaped energy shield that guarded the city, not to mention its protectors.

You may already know them, the Super Powerful Girls or Power Puff Girls as you prefer, they were the super heroines who protected the crime scene and brought great fame to their city.

Sugar, spice and everything nice.

These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect girl.

But Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the mix...

Chemical X!

Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born!

But our focus today will be on something else, or to be more specific on someone else who was about to arrive in town.

Not far away a bus was seen approaching Townsville, the vehicle follows the road as it heads towards the bridge before passing through the protective shield.

When that happens, a boy looks out the window of his seat at what his new home would be, the boy gives a tired sigh at the thought of what it would be like to live in a place so different from his old home, he then sits down in his seat while already starts to miss home.

The bus finally enters the city before stopping at the bus station when the doors open and the driver announces.

Driver: Attention everyone, we arrived in Townsville, those who stayed in this town please get off.

The gentleman who was sitting next to the boy then spoke.

Abner: Bastion my boy, isn't this where you get off?

The boy then blinked before answering.

Bastion: That's right, it's right here Mr. Abner.

The boy then grabs his backpack and skateboard before getting up to get off the bus, but stops to say goodbye to his traveling companion.

Bastion: Goodbye Mister Abner, thank you for traveling with me.

Abner: Thanks son, not all young people nowadays like to talk to their elders.

Bastion: Well they should. It was great to be able to talk with you.

The boy and the old man share a hug before breaking it as Bastion speaks with a smile.

Bastion: I promise I'll visit you. And have a good trip too.

Abner: Thanks son and good luck to you too.

Bastion then gets off the bus before the doors close and he waves goodbye to Abner who returns the gesture from inside the vehicle that has just left.

Bastion then looks around to get a look at the city before speaking.

Bastion: Looks like this is my new backyard.

Bastion put his skateboard down and prepared to ride it, but stopped when he heard his cell phone start to ring.

The music emitted by the device was Revolution by the band Orange, that is basically the opening music of Generator Rex for those who don't know.

Bastion grabbed his cell phone before realizing his sister was calling him.

Bastion: It's Elizabeth.

He then answers the phone before speaking with a smile.

Bastion: Hi sis.

On the other end of the line a female voice was heard.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* Bastion? Little brother, is it already here?

Bastion: I'm already here sis.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* How was the trip? Everything worked? Are you okay? You didn't land in the wrong city, did you?

Bastion chuckled at his older sister's concern before speaking to reassure her.

Bastion: It was fine. It all worked out. I'm fine. And no, I'm in Townsville.

Elizabeth sighed in relief from across town before asking.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* Where are you? Do you want me to pick you up?

Bastion: I'm at the bus station, but you don't have to pick me up, I want to go around town.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* Are you sure?

Bastion: I do.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* It's okay. But I want you home at 06:00, okay, young man?

Bastion: All right.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* And be careful.

Bastion: You can leave it to me.

Elizabeth: *over the phone* And please, don't try to play hero, okay?

Bastion chuckled at that before answering.

Bastion: Okay, okay, I got it.

They say goodbye and Bastion then puts his phone away before speaking expecting what the town has in store for him.

Bastion: Good city, show me what you got. Let's roll!

Bastion then ran with his skateboard through the streets of the place observing the landscape, seeing the stores that were there, tourist attractions and several other things of the kind.

He then stops in front of a court before looking inside to see several children his age playing basketball together, the boy wanted to be able to go there and play with them, but he knew he still had a lot to know. He then realized that out of everyone who played one girl stood out from the rest.

Bastion: (Thoughts) She's good.

Bastion didn't pay much attention, but he could see that the girl was a brunette with dark hair and seemed to like green since most of her clothing was made up of that color. He didn't have much time to think about it when he saw that she had stopped watching him for a moment before shrugging and going back to her game.

Bastion ignored this before continuing on his way and stopping at an ice cream parlor before entering it. Inside, he nearly dropped his jaw to the floor when he saw a girl his age buying an insane amount of sweets.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Holy Guacamole!

The boy watched as the girl filled the box with more and more sweets before shrugging and going to get something for him. Looking at the girl again he realized that she was a redhead and wore a pink bow in her hair to hold her ponytail while wearing mostly pink clothes. He shrugged at that before getting himself an ice cream not realizing the girl was watching him too.

Bastion made his way to the register, paid for his purchase before grabbing his skateboard and continuing on his way.

Later that day he was seen walking in a park before stopping and looking around closely, he saw a beautiful pond with ducks swimming in it, green grass all over the place and several families together out for a walk or having a picnic.

Bastion: (Thoughts) How beautiful.

He then noticed a girl sitting on a bench while doing a painting on a board. Bastion looked at the painting before realizing that it was extremely detailed down to the smallest detail.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Wow.

Bastion then turned his gaze to the girl painting the picture to see that she was blonde and frail and delicate looking and wearing blue clothes. He was distracted by watching her paint the picture carefully so as not to miss any point. Bastion looked at it some more before deciding to go on his way and start to walk away, unbeknownst to him, the blonde girl watched him for a moment as he walked away before turning his attention back to his painting.

At the end of the day, Bastion was seen sitting on top of a water tank on top of a building while watching the sun go down. He laid down in the box as he started to take a nap while snoring softly.

Right above him three girls flew across the sky leaving each a trail of their own color, they then saw the boy lying in the water tank before looking at each other and shrugging at that before walking away.

A few minutes later Bastion woke up from his nap before yawning a little and looking around in some confusion when he felt someone watching him. Seeing no one around, he shrugged before starting to descend from where he was.

Soon after he was seen walking through the streets before stopping at the door of a two-story house.

Bastion: (Thoughts) Here it is, my new home, sweet home.

He then turns his gaze towards the city before speaking.

Bastion: It's going to be fun living here.
