Wounded: The Ordeals Of Lee Eun ha

Eun Ha? " the manager called, " Please take a menu to that table and get their request." deep down she would have wanted someone else to do it but this was the boss orders, who was she to reject. she took the menu and walked straight to the table, her heart was racing very fast, she couldn't phantom exactly why. good evening Sir, she said bowing her head politely as she offered the menu what would you like to have? they looked at the menu and pointed what they wanted, she went out from the table and brought the cocktail they had ordered, she turned back to leave when the voice of one of them stopped her in her tracks. "wait" her heart stopped for some split seconds and continued beating with difficulty. I know you, you're Mr Lee's daughter he said with and an evil grin that revealed his tobacco colored teeth. she froze as the tray she was holding dropped to the ground. "I was right, it's them" The restaurant on the ground floor was filled with people mostly the elites, some of them were tourist, others were there for a business meeting and others, conferences. the sound of the dropped tray caught the attention of most of them, making them glance at Eun Ha for some split seconds. He continued, The deadline is tomorrow evening don't forget that. Eun Ha had wanted to say something to them, perhaps, beg them but the words never left her throat. Eun Ha stood there for about two minutes, "will you get us our meal or will you just stand there?" the other muttered harshly. she knew they were evil men, above the law. falling into their trap was the most dangerous place a person could be. she resigned to begging for more time. one glance, Mu Chen could tell what was happening "X force" he whispered underneath his breath. they had quite a reputation and were feared by many. They feared no one and could illegally obtain what was theirs if necessary. He looked at the helpless young lady on the floor, he knew there was no way they'd let her go, no matter how much she begged. he didn't know this girl, yet he felt a need to protect her. he went out and waited in his car in the parking area. "Wait," he said with a deep voice. Chae won was surprised he would have sworn a few minutes ago that he was in a hurry to leave. The loan sharks finished their meal as she handed them their bills, "How ironic, we're paying for your service and you owe us," he said humorously as they both burst into laughter. Eun Ha felt a knife pierce her heart, she had never felt so much humiliation in her life. she followed them outside the building trying to plead with them for the last time to see if they'd cave in and give her more time but they just walked straight to the car and drove off. Eun Ha stood outside the hotel, in despair, her father was going to die, this men were ruthless, the cloud had darkened earlier, soon few drops of rain started falling, but she was in no hurry to leave as if it were possible for the rain to wash down all her pain, she stood outside staring blankly into thin air while it rained on her, soon her hair was separating into clustered strands, tear a freely flowed down her cheeks, she felt like screaming, she felt helpless, Just then she couldn't feel the raindrops on her skin she turned as her eyes met with a tall handsome young man holding a big black umbrella. Mu Chen looked at her sorrowful eyes, he could see the pain in her soul through them. "I know who they were, and I can roughly guess what it is" Eun Ha was confused, "what did he know? who was he? why is he being kind to me?" she asked one question after another in her head. "How much?" he asked with a king like voice. "10,000 dollars," she said as her lips trembled, "How did you...?" this time she was starting to get suspicious. I have an offer for you, I'll clear the debt but you'll carry my baby"

DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE

I stood on the balcony of my house holding her picture with her blood stain still on it. My wife Stephanie was playing with our daughter Amoy downstairs. I was watching them from the balcony not until I brought out the picture and the past filled my mind making no room for the present. I looked at her picture and it all began to reoccur in my mind again. The blood stain on the picture made me shed soft tears. “She never deserved to die." I would always say. My mind flashed back as I gazed at her smiling visage in the picture; I could remember everything. It all happened 20 years ago but it was still like 20 days ago to me. I was 17 years old when it all happened, I was still a very young boy then but I actually became a man during those periods. I flashed my mind back to the events of yesterday, the time I stood on the altar with my wife, Stephanie. I flashed it back again to the day I woke up in a hospital recovery room in Santiago de Cuba with no sound heard other than that of the beeping monitor and the rotating ceiling fan. I flashed it back to the incident that led me to the hospital and I stopped on the day it all started. It was on Sunday, 2nd day of May 1999. I was a young boy then. A young boy of about four and a half feet tall. I had a baby face and I was blessed (I guess that what some will call it) with a gap teeth that always made me pretty whenever I opened it. Most people called me prince charming and some ladies thought I was gorgeous. That Sunday, I appeared in a suit matched with a tie. I looked so handsome and innocent. You could say I was a responsible child judging by my outfit but believe me, I wasn't like how I appeared that Sunday. I wasn't in my real form that Sunday; you can call it a cover up or a disguise but I was up to something that Sunday, something that led to my transformation, something that changed my whole life. I was a boy who followed bad gangs, I was a boy who stole from his father, I was a boy who never greeted his elders but preferred insulting them. I was a headache to my parents. You could call me a spoilt brat then but it wasn't a new name to me especially in my school. In all those bad behaviors of mine, there was one which I could call the worst of it all now, I was a misogynist. To me then, all women were a mistake except for my close relations even though I valued them a little lesser especially my granny but for my mom, I think she is a special woman unique from others. As I was saying, I was a boy who thought of marriage as a sin and boyfriend and girlfriend act as an act of stupidity performed by most of the youths. I was a boy who thought of women like pests and worms. I was a boy whom you will find unbelievable. I am PETER CHIBUIKE JOSHUA.

The Jade Dragon Knight

Corpses filled the Valley of Death, as a man bearing a broken blade and a heavily wounded magical beast faced each other, both close to the doors of death. The man turned his gaze to his surroundings, his eyes burning with every one of his dead brethrens coming in sight. He held his blade tight looking upon the wounded beast once more, looking over it's body he thanked the fallen efforts against the beast. He then looked upon himself, not any better than the beast, his right arm dislocated, legs shaking for balance and blood oozing from his chest, his body functioning solely by his sheer will. He took a step toward the beast, turning the steps into a run, and the run into a charge, and finally the charge into an attack, piercing his blade into the beasts chest, cutting down to it's abdominals before letting go. And in one last attempt before it's death, the beast struck the man, ripping out his dislocated arm swiftly before it entered the land of the dead. The man didn't really mind it, cause it was already dislocated, getting rid of it was a great burden off his shoulders although it still hurt. The man then stared down the dead beast, taking a look on the killing machine that murdered thousands of humans. He thanked the gods for his success but mourned as he knew the great sacrifices needed only to kill one of them. That was untill he noticed a shining blue light, beaming from the wound he open in the beasts the chest. Wiping his tears he looked closer, his eyes finally collecting the image; an orb. He reached to it out of curiosity, and the the moment he touched it, the orb broke into blue smoke entering and recollecting itself within his body, making him the first human to gain magic, changing the tides of war for the Humans forever.
