"No, no, it's fine," Avina rejected. She stood up and prepared to walk away. "I have some other prior business to attend to."
"Then-"
"That you can't go to," Avina cut him short. She made clear her intentions and firmly looked him in the eye. When his determination started to waver, Avina quickly dashed it.
Unfortunately, Liu Yunxi was one persistent little parasite. Just because Avina dashed away didn't mean he couldn't catch her. With quick reflexes, Liu Yunxi latched onto her wrists and yanked on her. Avina, with her weak body, naturally couldn't go far and instead, bumped right into his chest.
"This is inappropriate." Avina gritted her teeth. She set her hand free and glared at Liu Yunxi.
Liu Yunxi seemed aware of the situation but gritted his teeth regardless. He pulled her in closer and looked tenderly into her eyes. "I know of your feelings, and I, too, share them with you."
