Getaway

THE sun is just like any other star. All of them are made of very hot gas and mostly of hydrogen and helium. Eyes are also just like any other body parts that function in the human body based on what is needed. Love, an emotion that demands to be felt is just like any other emotions a human feels. But what happens when love becomes a person? When it becomes a huge part in your life that it already feels like it's a necessity?

Sandro Artega is a politician. All he ever wanted was to lead people to a better place, country, and future. Masiyado siyang abala sa kaniyang mga ambisyon na wala na siyang oras sa iba pang mga bagay. Sa tatlong bagay lang umiikot ang kaniyang mundo; paglilingkod sa bayan, kaniyang pamilya, at kaniyang kalusugan na talaga namang pinapangalagaan niya para rin mas matagal pa siyang makapaglingkod at makasama ang pamilya.

All his life, the only love he knew were the love for his fellow filipinos and the love for his family—nothing else. People see him as a lonely man and they think he will grow old alone. No one ever thought he could fall in love. Having a romantic relationship was never in his vocabulary and so was settling down.  

A life-changing event happens when he meets the woman who will turn his numb heart into a mischievous one whenever he's near her. He doesn't know it's love until he catches himself smiling foolishly every time she comes in to his mind, when he thinks of her whenever he sees nice things, when he thinks of her whenever he eats nice food, when he wants to tell her how his days are and how he also wants to know how she spends her day.

It's very unusual to him; wanting someone to enter his personal life, wanting someone to be always by his side, and wanting someone to go home to. For him, she is home. She's the only person he's comfortable with, she's the only person he's willing to spend the rest of his days with.

Who would have thought that Sandro Artega will actually fall in love? Who would have thought that someone will actually make Sandro Artega feel the emotions he never felt before? And Sandro Artega is surprisingly an impetuous lover. He would do things even him didn't imagine doing but for the woman he loves, he would climb every mountain and cross the very vast sea.

But love is indeed a dangerous and dubious game. When their love is against all odds, will Sandro remain as the tenacious man he is or will he give way and let his love slip away in the name of love?
