1 WE... are back, mother!

"We'll be landing shortly in 15 minutes. Please switch off your electronic devices," the captain announced.

"Lia, turn off your game, we'll be landing now," her mother Giselle told.

"It'll be over in two minutes mother, let me finish this level alone," Lia begged.

Lia's cute doe eyes reached her mother, knocking her out.

"Alright, you have two minutes."

Giselle made sure that her daughter turned off the game. Meanwhile, the flight had landed safely.

"Welcome to New York."

Hearing those words, Giselle felt nostalgic.

"I can't seem to escape from this place."

"I'm back, finally," Giselle whispered to herself.

Lia saw her mother in awe and couldn't help from teasing as she said:

"WE... are back, mother." Lia giggled in satisfaction.

Giselle smiled and gently caressed Lia's forehead.

"Come on, let's get our baggage and head on to our new home," Giselle winked.

"Let's order pizza for celebration," Lia hopped cheerfully.

Both of them picked their luggage and went to board a taxi. Lia kept gazing out the window and wondered how busy and lively the city was,

She asked, "Mom, was it always like this?"

Giselle smiled and answered, "Always, all days."

She couldn't stop being proud of her hometown. Lia behaved like a kid visiting the theme park for the first time. Lia was always an energetic kid; she loves to explore and play all the time. It is something she inherited from her father, the curiosity and love for adventure. Giselle felt that moving to another country would disturb her child mentally, but Lia handled it like a mature adult.

...

They both arrived at their new home. Before paying the driver, Lia popped a question to the cab driver.

"Sir, do you know the best place to buy Pizza in this area?"

The cab driver provided them a few outlets that he believed to have been the best place for pizza. Lia thanked him for his assistance.

...

The apartment was not too big. It was compact and fitted the mother and her daughter. It had two rooms, and Lia raced to pick her room first. Meanwhile, Giselle was holding onto this one outlet and kept staring at it. After a few seconds, she sighed and called them. She ordered a single large pizza with extra cheese.

By the time the pizza was delivered, Giselle was able to unpack a few of their belongings.

"Lia, come on, let's eat. Pizza's here," Giselle summoned her daughter.

Lia sped from her room jumped, and landed directly in front of the pizza. "Extra Cheese?" she questioned.

"Yes," Giselle returned.

Lia took a slice, and the cheese stretched.

"Aaah....yeah…..the best. Let me taste."

Lia was eager to taste the hot pizza. She took a bite and let out the hot air while munching the yummy pizza. Nearby was a few cold beverage bottles. She took one of them out and raised it above to make a toast.

...

"Welcome back home, mother. Let's meet all your friends here and have a welcome party with them."

Lia made the toast.

Giselle lifted her eyebrow and sneered as she stated, "We'll see."

Lia kept begging her mother to introduce to her friends. Seeing Lia's face, Giselle couldn't help but give in to her daughter's request. She agreed to have a welcome party soon.

That night both of them made their toast and gobbled down their large pizza together.
