The rebel group

After a day of travel, we arrived at a village covered in high wooden stakes acting as walls, lookout towers were placed beside a gate.

The man inside the archer tower noticed the incoming army and was about to climb down to inform the chief but a voice stopped him.

"We come in peace" Akaal shouted.

"Well that army behind you doesn't look like peace" He retorted.

"The shogun sent me to mediate the conflict between us"

"I don't believe you!"

"What about this? I enter the camp alone and talk with your chief, all of my army will stay here" My words shocked all of the people behind me.

"General! Could you think of another way rather than going alone?"

"Don't worry, I think I know the cause of this village to rebel" I recalled the papers I read about the history of the village, the former general who was appointed to this land was a tyrant who took food from the village.

All of his actions did not go to the report papers to the shogun so his action is largely unknown to her.

It was now that a rebellion happened that the shogun investigated and found out about the tyranny.

The shogun demoted the general and tried to explain the situation but the rebel group was not hearing any of it.

Now they are actively harassing any military camp related to the shogun.

My suggestion made the man in the archer tower think for a moment before he climbed down for a while before the gates opened slowly.

Putting my sword away and giving it to one of my men, I instructed them to build a camp near here, which they agreed to do.

Walking towards the gate I saw many people with hateful eyes directing their gazes at me, I paid no attention to them and walked towards the man who was the archer tower before.

"Now, could you show me where the chief is"

"This way" He walked towards the middle of town which I followed.

After a little walking, we entered a wooden house, with an old man was sitting quietly.

"I heard a new army was sent by the shogun to clear up a misunderstanding" He looked at me with curiosity.

"Now tell me, what misunderstanding is that I don't know of"

-

"Sister, was it wise to send Akaal to the rebel group?" Ei asked Makoto who was quietly writing on a scroll.

"I'm sure he will succeed, he is a smart child that's one thing I'm sure of"

Ei trusting her sister's judgment quietly nodded and thought on her own unknown what was she thinking.

-

"So you're telling me, the tyranny was unknown to even the shogun herself"

"Yes, why else should we go against our people, I apologize deeply on behalf of the shogun for what you have been through" I bow my head to the ground.

"Raise your head boy, though I don't know why a young boy like has the status of general I could see you are smarter than most grown men, but unfortunately I cannot change the mind of the village people by only words"

"I see, then I know a plan that will work" I discussed what I had in mind and the chief agreed that it would most likely change the minds of most of the villagers.

After ending the conversation I exited the building to see the sun had already begun to set.

The chief already ordered me out of the village so I could exit through the main gate scot-free.

Returning to the outside world, I saw my army already set up camp near a forest.

Noticing my returning figure the soldiers straightened their backs and saluted me.

"Sir!"

"Send a letter to the shogun, order the previous former-general Miyahara Yukio to return here along with 50 pounds of rice"

Without question, my men quickly wrote an order and were sent to the shogun to deliver the letter.

After 3 days, a new group of people arrived, mostly dragging many bags of rice in a cart but one prideful person was among them.

"Are you the general that called me? Don't get ahead of yourself only because you are of higher status than me, I only accepted this order because I own this land" As soon as he landed his eyes on me he started to talk proudly.

"I was so revered they gave me all of their foods, THAT'S how I am above you- uch" A punch to the gut soon shut him up surprising everyone who was watching.

"Tie him up, along with a gag, my ears are bleeding from his constant breath" Following my order, my soldiers soon dragged him away to some ropes we had, but without him spouting some more nonsense and curses at me.

A little later now having a tied-up tyrant and many foods, I dragged the former general along with the rice bags dragged by carts I arrived at the front door.

"Open the gate!" Hearing my familiar voice they responded by opening it and letting me in along with the people who dragged the carts.

Stopping past their gates I threw the tied Miyahara Yukio into the ground, some people seemed to recognize his face.

"This is your former general Miyahara Yukio, and the one who took your food" This news angered everyone in the village, this man was responsible for their countless days of starving.

"I once again apologize on behalf of the shogun for what you have been through and promise that we will prevent any more incidents similar to this from occurring" I bowed my head down and the people behind me followed my lead.

This scene surprised the villagers and the majority truly believed that we were sorry.

"I am not asking for you to return to our side, but ask to freely set up camp without being disturbed" The faces of the villagers turned to complexity, and all of them decided to discuss together before deciding on a consensus.

This reaction was exactly what I wanted and I am sure that they will become neutral to us at least.

After giving the restrained Miyahara Yukio and the carts of rice we left peacefully and I quickly wrapped up all camps to return to the main base, informing the shogun I successfully cleared the hostility of the rebel group.
