Ambition

After returning for launch I saw Yua sitting at a table alone so I picked my food and went to her table

"You should inform the others, they were pretty worried about you"

I told her, and she simply took her plate of food and moved tables

Okay? I guess she is mad that I refused to help, if she really is mad then I will not say anything to make up for what I did, she probably does this to make me change my mind but I won't budge to such tactics

So I continued eating on my table

It didn't get long for the others to arrive, they saw me and Yua sitting at different tables, the girls understood what happen between us so they went to sit with her and Takito sat with me

"What's up with the girls? They act kind of distant all of a sudden"

Takito said as he stared at the table of the girls

"Nah I think it's all in your head, anyway what activities do you want to join? Both you nor I haven't completed the paper for our activities, and our time is running out so we have to decide on activities we are happy to partake

So let's start with a list

We have: Fishing, Cooking, Hunting, swimming

Think carefully about what you want to do because if we cram ourselves with too many activities we won't have any time to relax, so let's first agree on some activities we are both okay taking, what do you think?"

Takito looked at me with a serious look and asked

"Why don't we do it all?"

"Are you stupid?"

When I said that Takito looked at me with a quite mad look

"Let me ask you something Iriasu..." He said as he glared into my eyes

"...You got here to improve right? It's quite a waste of you don't"

What Takito said made me realize something, no matter how tired, hurt, or weakened I get, my original reason for coming here was to improve myself, learn new skills, and make memories I won't forget with my friends, good or bad

"Let's do it!"

I said and Takito instantly understood what I said, so both of us checked every box with an activity

The rest of the day passed surprisingly fast. All of us attended a class taught by Terresa, second and third years were attending class later or earlier than us and in the meantime they did activities, it was a way to balance the work with fun and manage all of the students

When everything was done Takito and I headed back to our room and we both took a bath and then relaxed in the living room

"I got to say that this day was better than I thought, but from tomorrow time such as this won't be so common so let's enjoy it now that we have it" Takito said, he was lying on a couch and I was sitting on a sofa listening to music

"Couldn't agree more!" I told him as I listened to a song

Suddenly I received a message on LINE from an unknown number

<Look outside your balcony>

That's some horror movie cliché, it kind of creeps me but I'm all for it, so I quickly headed to the balcony, to my surprise I saw Trita with a phone in her hand looking up to our balcony

<Get down ALONE I want to ask you something>

She texted me, I replied with a thumbs-up emoji and excused my way out of the room and then down to the lobby, I grabbed a juice and headed out

"What is the reason you called me here?"

I asked the now confident Trita, she didn't have her glasses on and she had tied her hair in a tie, her brown hair and orange eyes were very highlighted now

"I want to ask you for a favor"

She said with D E T E R M I N A T I O N in her eyes, It felt like she was pressuring me with simply her stare

"If it's not something hard then alright..."

"I want you to help me get together with Takito-kun"

Her words left me speechless, I guess she has some ambition

"What took you too long? Yua asked me to do the same too but I refused since you weren't the one asking, but I guess you mustered the courage to come to me yourself"

Trita looked a bit surprised

"I didn't ask them to do something such as this, but that doesn't matter now, what matters is your answer, are you willing to help or not?" She asked me demanding an answer

"Why do you even like Takito? I don't remember you paying any attention to him besides the incident that happened once in the library"

I told her ignoring her request

"You are wrong! I had my eyes on Takito-kun since the beginning of the year but I didn't know what to do to approach him so I gave up, but after what happened to the library I realized that I didn't like him for his looks but for his actions too, after that, I started looking him play sports or doing other things and my love was confirmed every time, and my heart can't take it anymore, I want to be with him, and you are the only person Takito-kun acts like himself, that means you are a good friend of his, that's why I'm asking your help! I promise I won't break his heart!"

The way she described her feelings was similar to someone explaining how they love someone to their parents, I know Trita is not a bad girl, and considering she asked me for help herself that means she leaves me little to no room for a refusal

"I can see what I can do, but one thing I can suggest to you is to take part in every activity! Otherwise, you won't spend the maximum amount of time with him"

Hearing me accept her request made Trita very happy, I could tell from the spark in her eyes

"Thank you Su-kun! I knew when I saw you in the library that you weren't a bad person like others said"

Excuse me? Do people in school see me as a bad person?

"Now that you mention it why didn't you talk back there?"

That question somehow brought her back to her timid state

"W-Well It's embarrassing people knowing what I'm reading... Sorry if I was rude!"

"No it's okay, but the thing about the books is kind of bad, I can't tell you how to feel but what your artistic preference is doesn't have anything to do with me or anyone, so I personally wouldn't hide what I'm reading but I wouldn't start telling everyone about it either, you know?"

Trita looked a bit more eased after hearing that

"I-I guess..."

"Anyway, I'm leaving! Good luck! You will have to work hard after tomorrow if you want to achieve a relationship that is!"

I said as I started leaving, I waved goodbye with my back to her and quickly headed to our room

To my surprise, I saw two familiar faces walking in the hall

"Oh look who it is! Have you seen Trita? She went somewhere and we don't know where!"

Ichika told me, she didn't look that anxious, but why are they here in the first place? This is the boy's floor and if they didn't visit any boy they had no reason to be here

"No idea, what are you doing on this floor?"

"We came to your room to find out if you knew anything, turns out you don't so we are leaving! Night night" Ichika said as she moved forward with Yua

I guess that explains it

…

It was the next day and we had to get up relatively early in the morning, a ring came from some speakers in the top corner of our room, it was the same bell ring as the one we have at school so I assume it is used for the same reason

So with bravery and ambition, I went to wake Takito up, he sleeps very heavily so waking him up is a big task, I wonder how he manages to wake up for school alone. I have shaken him multiple times and he is sleeping through all of the pushes and shakes

After many failed attempts I hit him in the head he easily woke up after the hit

"Nakusa! I will murder you!" Takito yelled as he quickly got up

"Nakusa?"

I asked him confused, he looked at me with a hint of embarrassment

"S-Sorry, Nakusa is my little sister, she usually wakes me up like that, sorry if I startled you!"

"Nah it's okay, I didn't have any siblings growing up so I kind of envy you"

Takito smiled

"You can see me as your elder brother then"

He said as he headlock me after than I used judo moved my father taught me to slam him gently on the ground

"My father was the Domic the crusher! The legend of UFC! Don't underestimate me!"

Takito had a surprised expression on his face

"So you are a master at fighting too! That's awesome dude!" He said as he got up

We then slowly headed to our little classroom, something strange was that the desks were quite big for one person, maybe they are going to make us team?

"Seems like everyone is here so take a seat girls!"

Terresa, our teacher, told only the girls to sit

"Now boys sit with a girl!"

She said, Don't tell me we have to team with girls?

"Why are we doing this miss? Can't we simply choose who we want to be with?" A girl asked the teacher

"You COULD but I have seen you at school, most of you stay close to your friends and don't try to open up with the opposite gender, thanks to our statistic club we found out that less than 20% of the student in our school has more than 2 opposite gender friends, our school aims to change that, you can see yourselves as the guinea pigs, we will start this project here and if it works then we will also apply it to the school! You should be proud to be the start of such an action!" Terresa said with a smile as she look at each one of us

Experiment or not I can tell just by her eyes that she wants to see people suffer from anxiety,

But wait! This may be good for Trita and Takito! She can use this chance to get closer to Takito without having to do something extra to get out of her shell

Once I spotted Trita in the room I gave her the nod, and things went as planned, as for me...

I guess I have two options, Ichika or Yua, one is an overenergized girl that acts rather suspicious at times and the other is a brat that refuses to have a healthy relationship

I guess I should go with my gut feeling

A.K.A go to the nearest person, and the nearest one seems to be Yua, oh well here I go

"Looks like you can't stay away from me for even a day!" Yua said with a teasing smile

"And you can't seem to find a friend! What would you do without me, I wonder?"

Yua then started hitting me on my arm

"Pipe down kids! A long day awaits you!" Terresa told us

I hope she is lying...
